Scream 1996 Film Review

In the nineties the slasher genre was pretty much dead after seeing it's heyday back the eighties when a lot of slasher films where being made yearly. Yet it's thanks to the film that i'm about to review for all you today that the slasher genre not only survive the nineties but was brought back to life really by actually giving us good characters that we like and by giving us a good plot and so the join me as I review the film that introduced us to Ghostface with the film in question being called simply just "Scream" enjoy.

The plot of the film is on the one year anniversary of her mothers death teenager Sidney Prescott finds herself and other teenagers being targeted by a mysterious killer. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this film plot not only really holding up really well all of these years later with the films plot also being just as fresh and just as new and different as it was back in 1996 with this films plot being just as entertaining and just as engaging as it was back in 1996 as well with the plot of the film still being one of the best plots in nineties horror film history in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is David Arquette as Dewey Riley , Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Rose McGowan as Tatum Riley , Matthew Lillard as Stu Macher , Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis , Jamie Kennedy as Randy Meeks , W. Earl Brown as Kenny , Joseph Whipp as Burke , Liev Schreiber as Cotton Weary , Drew Barrymore as Casey Becker , Henry Winkler as Principal Arthur Himbry and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well the in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast really nailing down there characters perfectly and giving us some truly iconic characters with all of this films actors being perfectly cast so well in fact that it's now hard to imagine anyone else playing these characters as all of this films characters just fit there characters perfectly so much so that they basically just are those characters with the acting in this film really being helped by the fact that not only is the film directed by the late and great Wes Craven who knows how to get a good performance out of his cast but also due to the fact that the films script is just so good that all the cast have to do is just say lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

To many people the most iconic side character in this film is Randy and that's fair enough however a case could be argued for Tatum being a truly iconic character in this film as well as Randy. With the character having alot of the humor that the films are really known for on top of that her lines are instantly quotable and while her death scene could have been avoided as she was more then halfway out of that cat flap before she died anyway it doesn't take away from the fact that her death was truly brutal and while yes Randy does give us the rules for not only this film but for the next two films it's Tatum that manages to keep Sidney grounded when everything else is spiraling out of control but I will admit that her character could have been better as she does come across as being the stereotypical snarky best friend type of character and really nothing more then that she is still a rather fun and entertaining character.

As a mystery this film does really well in telling it's actual mystery as the film does give you very subtle clues. Alot of which you only notice upon repeat viewings of the film like the fact that when Stu is about to say that will give away that he and Billy are the killers Billy will just shut him down right there and then something that he wouldn't do if they weren't the killers and on top of that is the fact that the very idea of just straight up hinting that Billy is the killer all throughout the film almost to the point where we the audience start to believe that he's not the killer was a smart move as it then gives us a reason to check the film out again to see if there's something that we missed the first time around but going back to the clues the fact that alot of the people apart from Sidney and a few others are seen wearing the exact same footwear as Ghostface does make it seem like anybody could be the killer and the fact that Billy and Stu do spend alot of time together in this film is a great subtle way to show us that there this films killers.

There's one thing that's slightly confusing when we get to this films climax tho and that's the fact that when see Billy get "killed" there's no way to see how he could applied the blood to himself. As don't forget we've just seen him completely shirtless which means that he couldn't have hidden what he needed to hide in order to pull of this effect off as one of the intended victims would have been right there in the room with him thus she would have known that Billy was at the very least the killer behind these killings this is something that could have been fixed with just one quick shot showing how Billy and Stu managed to hide the make up that they quite clearly planned to use and yet because they don't do it it makes all the more confusing when it comes to the final film and that one very quick shot could have fixed that and it would have gone along way to showing us that these two kids really did think of everything and of every single part of this plan.

As great as this film is there are some things that I really didn't like about the film like the fact that alot of the side characters felt rather undercooked which does make sense as there not the main characters but at the same time it does make it hard for us the audience to make any of connection to them. The other thing that I didn't like about this film is the fact that it really doesn't take advantage of the fact that anybody could be a suspect like how cool would it be if instead of capturing Billy not long after the first kill, of the film we see alot more people being blamed for the killing whilst none of them actually are the killer and we get to see the fact that some people could be blaming others for either petty revenge or just to prank there friends all the meanwhile the real killers are still free this is something that would have taken full advantage of the fact that anybody could be the killer and it would make us the audience not thing that Billy and Stu are the killers thus making there big reveal near the end of the film all the more surprising and shocking at the exact same time.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember what ever this films grand total running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and forty six minuets. Which was a tad bit on the  long side for this film to have but at the same time there's not really anything left in this film that you can really cut out of the film without seriously harming the plot of the film as the film really does have more then enough there interms of plot to cover that large of running time and cutting anything from the film would mean that clues to working out who the killer or even killers are in this film which would make the big reveal at the ed of the film not really make sense in the slightest but i will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As this films kills are all just stabbings which would normally be a huge downside for me as that can get boring after a while but here it does oddly make sense as this films killers are just teenagers who are using whatever they can get a hold of to commit there crimes which means that it does make sense that alot of there kills would be stabbings and while we do get some different kills in this film the overall majority of this films kills are stabbings with all of this films kills looking really good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall even after all these years this film is still so good and is quite easily a must watch for not only any horror fan worth there salt but also for any slasher fan worth there salt as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 9 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and a swell as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page , Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page actually has images from this film up on the official Scream fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Thanksgiving Film Review

Holiday themed horror films are nothing new with with films like Halloween , My Bloody Valentine and Black Christmas being considered classics. Well now we have another holiday themed horror film to add to that list and it's one that i've been really waiting to see and well after days of trying to  get a review of this film going i've now finally really got the chance to see and review this film and so then join me as I review the film that is the latest in a long line of fake Grindhouse trailers to get adapted into full length feature length films with the film in question being called simply just "Thanksgiving" enjoy.

The plot of this film is one year after a riot sees the deaths of several people a small town finds itself being terrorized by a masked killer and it's up to one of the townsfolk and her friends to work out who is killing the members of this town and why before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in his very film was in all honesty really not that bad with this films plot being really entertaining and alot better then what it really had any to be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Patrick Dempsey as Sheriff Eric Newlon , Nell Verlaque as Jessica and Addison Rae as Gabby. Also starring in this film is Jalen Thomas Brooks as Bobby , Milo Manheim as Ryan , Rick Hoffman as Thomas Wright , Gina Gershon as Amanda Collins , Tomaso Sanelli as Evan , Gabriel Davenport as Scuba , Jenna Warren as Yulia , Karen Cliche as Kathleen , Jeff Teravainen as Deputy Bret Labelle , Jordan Poole as Jacob , Joe Delfin as McCarty , Ty Olsson as Mitch Collins , Mika Amonsen as Lonnie , Shailyn Griffin as Amy , Tim Dillon as Manny , Amanda Barker as Lizzie , Chris Sandiford as Doug , Derek McGrath as Mayor Cantin , Lynne Griffin as Grandma and Adam MacDonald as The Voice Of The Carver.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in his very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films cast turning in some fairly solid performances which was truly shocking as the vast majority of this films cast are a bunch of unknown actors as such it's not the best idea to expect good or even great acting from them and what really does help the acting in this film is not only the fact that this films director ad producer Eli Roth knows how to direct his cast but it's also because of the fact that the script for this film is good that all the cast have to do is just the say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

This film is the latest fake trailer from the 2007 film "Grindhouse" with the film joining Machete and Hobo With A Shotgun in being fake trailers being turned into movies. With this film really being a passion project for Eli Roth as it's been talked about since 2010 with this film not really being all that faithful to the original trailer as there's only one maybe two scenes from the trailer that make their appearance in this film which is to be expected but the original fake trailer could have made a really fun and campy throwback horror movie but I will admit that thus film foes do the fake trailer by not only including elements from the fake trailer but also by being a really rather fun interpretation of the original fake trailer.

Rather surprisingly this film does include some rather likable main characters with alot of the main characters being quite likable. Which was something that wasn't really expected as alot of the characters in Eli Roth's films aren't typically likable characters with them nine times out of ten being more unlikable then the main villains and yet it was quite shocking to see nearly all of this films main characters being rather likable but also being fairly well written as well as while yes we do get some rather unlikable characters in his film here it felt like that that was the point with it really working into what the film was meant to be commenting on instead of being an example of some really bad screen writing.

In a rather shocking move this film is also somewhat of a mystery with the cast trying to work who this killer is and why there killing people suddenly. Yet it's this aspect of the film that really doesn't work a that well as the film really doesn't give you any kind of clues as to who the killer ad as such when the film does reveal who the killer it comes out of nowhere as we aren't given any clues to work it for ourselves with this not really being helped by the fact that the film doesn't even give us any potential suspects either both of which are key to making a mystery work as both allow for us the audience to not only get sucked into the story but to also work out who the main killer is and why there killing all of these people.

This film is shockingly doing lot better then was to expected with it so far having earned twenty two million dollars against a fifteen million dollar budget. With the film also beating several films at the box office chief amongst which is the new film by writer and director Taika Waititi this just goes to show that you don't have to be a well known director or direct an huge franchise film in order to beat films from well known directors as at the box office as all you need to do is make a good film with good characters and the audience will go to see your film with this film being very well written with mostly very well developed characters and given just how much money that this film gas earned so far at the box office it's all but guaranteed that e'll be seeing a sequel to this film at some point in time as Eli Roth would have a huge hit film, on his hands.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty nine minuets and nineteen seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that you'd expect a film like this one as when you get  right down to it this film really doesn't have alot their interms of lot to cover anything longer then it's current running ad to this films credit it does do the most that it could possibly do with that running time and while I would have liked it if this film was longer as that would mean that alot of the characters could be fleshed out alot more then what they presently are if this film was to have a much longer running time tho it would be stretching an already thin story even thinner and I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it..

So now then as this is a slasher film that means tat means that to have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the film giving us alot of really cool , gory and creative kills but rather oddly enough the best kill of the entire movie isn't even one that the killer does as it's the opening kill that's the best kill in the movie as it's a more dark and twisted version of the opening scene from Krampus with there being alot of really cool and gory moments in that one scene alone with all of which going along way to making it the best kill scene in the whole entire movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a really cool and fun movie that really does deserve all of the good reviews that it's been getting as it really is just that good of a movie that could so easily become a holiday classic in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and  as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Carrie 2013 Film Review

There alot of Stephan King books out there that continue to get adaptation after adaption with IT being a chief example of that. However there is one of his books that has more adaptations then IT as that the book only really has two adaptations where as the film that i'm about to review today marks the third technically fourth adaptation of a book that really is truly creepy and so then join me as I review the film that really didn't need to be made in the slightest with the film in question being called simply just "Carrie" enjoy.

The plot of this film is teenage outcast Carrie White discovers that she has telekinetic powers and gets invited to a prom that both she and her hometown will remember forever. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in al honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but that's more due to the fact that the plot of the book is really good and I will admit that regardless of the quality of the adaptation this plot will always be really good and I will admit that this films plot was very entertaining for the most part in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Kick-A*s star Chloë Grace Moretz as Carrie White , Julianne Moore as Margaret White and Judy Greer as Miss Desjardin. Also starring in this film is Gabriella Wilde as Sue Snell , Portia Doubleday as Chris Hargensen , Alex Russell as Billy Nolan , Baby Driver star Ansel Elgort as Tommy Ross , Barry Shabaka Henley as Principal Henry Morton , Zoë Belkin as Tina Blake , Karissa Strain as Nicki Watson , Katie Strain as Lizzy Watson , Samantha Weinstein as Heather Mason , Demetrius Joyette as George Dawson , Mouna Traoré as Erika Langton and Hart Bochner as John Hargensen.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films cast turning in some really good performances however what lets thew acting down is the fact that you don;t just by Chloe Grace Moretz as Carrie White not because she's a bad actress because she's not but it's more due tot he fact that she's horribly miscast as the character and as such you don't just see the character all you do is see the actor and that is something that really does take you out of the film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Acme F/X and the legends and the really greats that are currently over at Mr. X. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured /  presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad with his films CGI being laughably bad at best which really shouldn't have been the case at all as alot of the stuff that they use CGI for should have been very easy to make look good even for a horror film released in 2013 and yet they somehow managed to turn in a film with really bad looking CGI effects.

This films just gets so much basic stuff wrong even from the first shot of the movie as they get rid of the opening of the 1976 original movie which  gave you a false of security and instead replaced it with a typical horror opening. On top of that they cat the wrong person as Carrie White not because Chloe Grace Moretz is a bad actress because she really isn't as she does turn in a good performance in this film but it's because he's far to good looking which goes against everything that Carrie White is as she is meant to be just an average looking girl who is just looking to get by day to day and yet with Chloe Grace Moretz that's gone out the window because all you have to do is take one look at her and you'll know that she belongs more with the popular kids and not as this social outcast character who has no friends to speak off.

There are things that are done better in the original film like the alot of the films death scenes for example. However at the same time this film does some things that are actually good like for example by having Chris an Billy play the video that Chris took of her bullying Carrie and having that play just after she drops the bucket of pigs blood on her that was a good idea as it really does hit home that no matter where Carrie goes in her life be it to school or at home she will always be seen as an outcast and that was something that I really did like and on top of that it also made sense to update that bit of the scene as well as that character in that time period would do something like that as she is a dreadful bully.

While they did do a decent job of updating some aspects the film like by having Chris film to bullying that Carrie goes through. The film could have done a tad but more like by having Carrie find out about the video while she using the internet at school but I will admit that is a very minor issue but what isn't is the fact that the film offers us no scares where as the original film had plenty of scares you could even make the case that the opening of the original film is pretty scary given what we know happens to Carrie later on in the film this is something that should have had alot more effort put into it as the film does have a spooky premise and yet the film doesn't take full advantage of that with the film instead feeling like something that would air on The CW instead of an actually creepy movie that is worthy of the Carrie name.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty minuets and fifty six seconds. Which is a tad bit on the long side for this film to have as the film really doesn't have alot of story to cover that large  amount of running time with the film having alot of stuff int that just feels like teen drama and padding as it's stuff that really doesn't effect the overall plot of the film where as if you compare that to the original film almost every single scene in that film is needed as it ether advances the plot or the characters where as in this film it just really felt like that they were really rushing alot to hit all of the plot points that we all know and really love without truly understanding why we liked them in the first place but I will admit that his film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in his very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty fairly bad. As alot of it just wasn't built up all that well especially when compared to either the book or the original film but I will admit that the signature prom scene was done really well altho the overuse of CGI in that scene did make it seem more laughable then it did out right scare when that shouldn't have been the case but when it got it right it really did get it right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this remake is alot more enjoyable then what I thought that it would be it's not really as good as it really could or really eve should have been for that matter in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about, all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review ad as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Noe ten as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Carrie fandom wiki page , IMP Awards .

Five Night's At Freddy's Film Review

Video game movies used to be a huge joke in Hollywood with alot of them being just as bad as the one that came before it. Yet in recent years they've been getting better and better with Hollywood putting in alot more time and effort into actually creating an actually good video game movie and well we have yet another brand new video game movie out there for us all to watch and well I thought that i'd check this movie out and so then join me as I review the movie that sees a Scream legend make his grand return to the world of horror films with the film in question being called simply just "Five Night's At Freddy's" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when down on his luck Mike Schmidt gets a new job as a security officer at an run down kids restaurant he discovers the restaurant holds many deadly secrets. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in al; honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty bad as this films plot can best be described as being rather weak at best with the plot of the being so weak that it's hard to work out what the actual plot of the film actually is with this films plot also being rather dull and boring as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt , Piper Rubio as Abby and Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa. Also starring in this film is Mary Stuart Masterson as Aunt Jane , Kat Conner Sterling as Max , David Lind as Jeff , Christian Stokes as Hank , Joseph Poliquin as Carl , Grant Feely as Blonde Boy Ghost Kid , Asher Colton Spence as Hook Ghost Kid , David Houston Doty as Bunny Ears Ghost Kid , Liam Hendrix as Hat Ghost Kid , Jophielle Love as Blue-Eyed Girl Ghost Kid , Roger Joseph Manning Jr. as The Voice Of Foxy , Tadasay Young as Dr. Lillian , Lucas Grant as Garrett , Michael P. Sullivan as Doug and Matthew Lillard as Steve Raglan.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the issue as the acting in this film isn't that good either as while we do get some decent performances in this film we also get alot more bad performances and heck even Matthew Lillard who is usually really good and as is a good actor plays his role like he's playing a less twisted version of Stu of Scream which just isn't right for his role in this film and while Josh Hutcherson does try to turn in a good performance he ad the rest of this films cast for that matter just elevate this films bad and predictable script.

This film is of course based of off the 2014 video game of the exact game with even the creator of the game Scott Cawthon serving as this films co-writer and co-producer. I will admit that I have never and will never play any of the games but based of off the games Wikipedia page it seems like the games have no real plot to them at all which makes me wonder why they chose to make this movie outside of the games being popular for about five minuets which means that the film had to make up this boring plot which shouldn't have been the case as the games creator worked on writing the script for the movie and yet this boring plot was the best that they could come up with.

Not really helping things is the fact that this films characters just aren't really all that interesting in the slightest. With none of them having much in the way of a personality which is fine for the game as the game is told in the first person and so the gamer can make up the characters personalities but for the movie adaptation the makers of this film should have made the effort to give the characters some sort of personality which would help to make the characters actually likable instead of just having not even be cardboard cutout of characters as is the case with the characters in this film and while not having a personality does make sense for the animatronics it's something that well ever work for the films human characters.

For some strange reason this film was released not only in cinemas but also on Peacock on the exact same day. Which just doesn't work anymore as cinemas are now fully open and plus by releasing it the exact same day and date on Peacock without a paywall it means that the film won't be able to make as much money because given the choice between watching a movie for free in the comfort of your own home or paying to go and see that exact same movie alot of people are going to take the free option just because of the fact that it would mean that they could watch the movie in the comfort of their homes and while yes this movie is currently making alot of money at the box office it's not going to make as much as money as it perhaps could have done.

This movie does try to have get a romance going between Josh Hutcherson's character and Elizabeth Lail's character. Which is something that really doesn't work as the two characters really don't have any chemistry together whatsoever with the two actors feeling more like that they just met each other that day with this not really being helped by the fact that the film that there in really doesn't call for a romance to be added as there's no situation in which the romance could be fully developed in the slightest which means that the whole things just comes of as being rather half baked when it really didn't need to be.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty nine minuets and twenty eight seconds. Which really is such a long time for this film to have especially when you take into account that for large portions of this films running time nothing is happening to advance the overall plot of the film which wouldn't be a bad thing if they were developing the characters in any way but there not doing that instead all they are doing is just watching the characters just go abut their day to days lives and there's only is long that you can see that before you start getting bored which happens really quickly in this film with this no really being helped by the fact that the film has some pretty bad pacing to it.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. AS we do get to see some pretty creative kills but what really lets all of this films ills down is the fact that we don't get to see alot of the kills in this film with the camera panning away before we get to see what actually killed certain characters and while that approach worked for films M3gan for example for a film that based of off a horror video game they really should have shown us all of the kills in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film really wasn't as fun as could or even should have been which is a shame because this film had all of the ingredients to be a really fun film and yet all we got was a rather depressing mess of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images tat I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Five Night's At Freddy's fandom wiki page , MP Awards .

Masters Of Horror: Dance Of The Dead Review

Anthology TV shows really are a strange breed as even tho there have been plenty of them very few of them are horror related. However in 2005 that's exactly what we got and on top of that we also got episodes that were directed by some of the best legends in the world of horror however I sadly never got the chance to watch this show when it was first airing well that now all changes as i've just watched my very first episode of the show and so then join me as I watch the episode that really is a let down when you take into account who is directing this episode with the episode in question being called simply just "Dance Of The Dead" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is a girls life is forever turned upside down when she has the chance to find out what really happened to her missing sister. Now then interms off what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honest I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but that's sadly also the issue as the plot for this episode wasn't all that good either with the plot being really weak at best and with it just coming and going as and when it chooses which only served to make the episode feel boring in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Jessica Lowndes as Peggy , Genevieve Buechner as Young Anna and Jonathan Tucker as Jak. Also starring in this episode is Margot Berner as Marie , Ryan McDonald as Boxx , Marilyn Norry as Kate , Lucie Guest as Celia , Sharon Heath as Gerri , Horror icon Robert Englund as The MC , Erica Carroll as Mia , Don MacKay as Steven and Karen Elizabeth Austin as Quinn.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of the episodes cast turning in some decent performances which is something that really did shock me as alot of the episodes cast members are unknown actors and so to expect good acting from them wouldn't have made sense and yet that's exactly what we got as all of the actors in this very really did turn in performances that were really good but the actors are very sadly let down by the episodes poor script.

This episode really does go to show you just how versatile of an actor that Robert Englund really is as he goes from charming to sinister all within the exact same scene in this episode. This was something that I really did like about the episode as it reminds us that some of the actors and actress that star in horror films can also be some genuinely really good actors and that's something that sadly not alot of people are going to see as alot of the mainstream audiences won't watch their movies for various reasons be it because it's not being released into theaters or because it's not being released by a very well known studio and as such alot of them will miss out some truly good actors just blowing us all away with their performances.

The best way that I can describe this episode is that it's a cross between the TV show Blood Drive and the Mad Max film series only done on a really small budget. As there are alot of things in this episode that are very similar to things that appear in Blood Drive and heck even Robert Englund's MC character is very similar to The MC character in Blood Drive even down to them being very charismatic characters that have a dark secret and I have to wonder if Blood Drive was at the very least partially inspired by this episode as the things that are similar are just to much of a coincidence for them not to be done on purpose but if your going to be inspired by anything then you might as well be inspired by something that Tobe Hooper directed.

According to Dread Central this episode is Tobe Hooper at his best and on that I have to respectfully disagree. As this episode is just flat boring and uninspired and while yes the episode is very well directed to say that this is Hooper at his best when it's quite clearly not just isn't right especially since the director himself hasn't really made anything that's him just let loose since Texas Chainsaw Massacre just isn't right as this episode is a sign of Tobe Hooper needing to slow things down as he's just not able to make this episodes script work anymore which is something that the Tobe Hooper of the seventies ad the eighties would have been able to do and not only that he would have made a feature length film and a good film at that.

This episode is written by Richard Christian Matheson and is based of off the short story by his own father Richard Matheson. This seems like an episode that reads better as a short story as then you have however many pages you need to tell the story where as here you only have one hour to tell the exact same story and because of that alot of things do suffer because of it like the fact that all of the episodes characters aren't fully developed at all with all of the characters coming across as being very one dimensional which doesn't make them interesting characters with this this not really being helped by the fact that none of the episodes characters are likable both of these tho are issues that may or may not be fixed in the original short story.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty eight minuets and forty seconds. Which both works for and against this episode it works for this episode as the episode doesn't really have alot of plot to over that large amount of running time to begin with but it works against the film as it means that the characters can't be fully developed and a threat can't be fully established as the episode has to rush along to the next plot point but it does so with such bad editing that all it does is leave us the audience wondering what's even going on on screen which is something that really should have been fixed but I will admit that this episode does have some fairly solid pacing to it tho.

So now then as this i a horror show that means that I ave tom actually talk about he actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really bad. With this episode not really being scary in the slightest which shouldn't be the case at all as the episodes director knows how to scare people and he knows how to make things scary and yet for this episode he just doesn't bother to make anything scary and heck there's not even a jump scare in this episode because that's how lacking this episode is in the scare department in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while on paper this episode should have worked as it does have alot of things that should have made it work for one reason or another this episode just doesn't work at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode i this very review and as such that means that this very episode earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk and Google Images.

Twilight Zone: The Movie Film Review

There are alot of movies both horror and none that I haven't seen yet with today's film being one such film. Heck i'm not even sure if this film can even be classed as a horror film as it has a segment in it that isn't horror and has noting to do with horror but i'm only classing it as a horror film as both Google and IMDB have this film classed as a horror film and so then join me as I review the film that brought together the likes of directors John Landis , Steven Spielberg , Joe Dante and George Miller with the film in question being called simply just "Twilight Zone: The Movie" enjoy.

As this is an anthology film it really doesn't have a plot to speak off instead having four segments with their plot with three of which being full on remakes ( Segment Two "Kick the Can" , Segment Three "It's a Good Life" and Segment Four "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet"). With only the films first segment being a partial remake of the episode "Back There" which I think is a good thing to do as the original show was an anthology and with this film it's quite clearly obvious from how this film is being done that all four filmmakers were fans of the original TV series with it only making sense that they would instead openly choose to remake three of the shows most popular episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Vic Morrow as Bill Connor , Doug McGrath as Larry and Charles Hallahan as Ray. Also starring in this film is Scatman Crothers as Mr. Bloom , Bill Quinn as Leo Conroy , Martin Garner as Mr. Weinstein , Selma Diamond as Mrs. Weinstein , Helen Shaw as Mrs. Dempsey , Murray Matheson as Mr. Agee , Peter Brocco as Mr. Mute , Priscilla Pointer as Miss Cox , Scott Nemes as Young Mr. Weinstein , Tanya Fenmore as Young Mrs. Weinstein , Evan Richards as Young Mr. Agee , Laura Mooney as Young Mrs. Dempsey , Christopher Eisenmann as Young Mr. Mute , Kathleen Quinlan as Helen Foley , Jeremy Licht as Anthony , Kevin McCarthy as Uncle Walt , Patricia Barry as Mother , William Schallert as Father , Nancy Cartwright as Ethel , Dick Miller as Walter Paisley , Cherie Currie as Sara , Bill Mumy as Tim , Jeffrey Bannister as Charlie , John Lithgow as John Valentine , Abbe Lane as Sr. Flight Attendant , Donna Dixon as Jr. Flight Attendant , John Dennis Johnston as The Co-Pilot , Larry Cedar as The Gremlin , Charles Knapp as The Sky Marshal , Christina Nigra as A Little girl , Eduard Franz as An Old man , Jeffrey Weissman as A Young Man , Albert Brooks as The Driver , Dan Aykroyd as The Passenger and The Ambulance Driver and Burgess Meredith as This Films Narrator.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films cast turning in some really good performances which really shouldn't be all that surprising given not only who is starring in the film but also given the fact that each of this films fours directors knows how to get a really good performances out of their cast with the same thing also being true for the films kid actors as well.

Doing the animation for this film is the really very little and mostly known animation studio Bo Gehring Associates. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film ell then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films animation being rather cheap looking but in this case that's not a bad thing as it adds to the char of the animation rather then take away from it with this films animation even getting one of the films scares as well.

This film is of course an adaptation of the classic nineteen fifty nine series of the exact same name with this film fully remaking three of the shows most well known episodes and partially adapting another one. This is to me the best way to adapt an anthology series as an anthology series doesn't have a plot to them which would make it hard to make it into a movie which only leaves you with one option and that's by going the route that the went with with this film and it's route that works out really well as it gives you a good example of what the show was like at it's best which means that if you haven't seen an episode of the show then this movie is a great way to dip your toes in with this show to see if you'll like it or not.

Instead of being a straight up remake of the show this film is instead an homage to the show even using the shows creator Rod Serling's original season one opening narration at the end of the movie. Along with using some of the shows original stars in different roles this is something that only serves to prove that all four directors of this movie were fans of the original show in some way shape or form as that is something that you wouldn't do if you didn't grow up watching whatever it is that your adapting for a movie and it's that kind of love that just oozes out of every single frame of this movie and makes the movie feel like an extended episode of The Twilight Zone.

I have to admit that it was really easy for me to tell which segment was directed by Steven Spielberg as he chose a really whimsical and sentimental story to remake. Which isn't a bad thing but given that this is the same guy that directed Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom and Raiders Of The Lost Ark I would have liked it to see him direct one of the films more scarier segments instead of just going down the route that you expect him to him down don't get me wrong his segment and all four segments are for the most really well made but it would have been interesting to see him tackle an episode that scares the living daylights out of people instead f one that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside as that would ave been interesting to see.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty one minuets and sixteen seconds. Which is a great running time for this film to have as this film doesn't have a plot to speak of and yet even so I felt that this film could have had some longer segments in it just to hit home some of the man points of the story and while I do fully understand why the first segment ends that way it does that is one of the stories that really does suffer from having a lack of an ending which is a shame as it was a really strong opening story for this film to have and it's helps that this film really does have some fairly solid pacing to it.

So ow then as this sis a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film having some really good and creepy moments heck the remake of "It's A Good Life" is a really creepy segment that's filled to the brim with some pretty scary visuals that look genuinely really creepy with that segment also lending itself really well to a creative death scene that isn't that good even it is kind of lame death scene but is still really creative in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this wasn't that bad a movie and it's one that I highly recommend to people who haven't an episode of the original,Twilight Zone just to dip their toe and see if this show is for them or not with this film being a good example of the show when it was at it's best in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film i this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official The Twilight Zone fandom wiki page , IMP Awards .

Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
