Scream 7 Film SPOILRR FILLED Film Review

There are alot of films that cause controversy when there being made and heck some even cause it after they've been made. Yet the film that i'm going to be talking to you all today is one of the only films to have controversy about before it even entered development with this film being one that really is either going to be a massive hit or a huge flop either one will fracture a fanbase that really wasn't divided before this film was in development and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FREE review that sees Neve Campbell make her grand return with the film in question being called simply just "Scream 7" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a few years after the events of Scream VI Sidney has to survive new killings when Ghostface starts targeting her and her family in there new home of Pine Grove. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty not that bad with the plot of this film being about as good as it was ever going to be giving all of the issues that plagued the film behind the scenes and yet it's a wonder that the films plot was as good as it was as while yes this films plot was a very basic and bare bones plot but in saying this tho that's all it needed to be as not every slasher film needs to challenge you and needs to be this thought provoking film as sometimes just being a dumb slasher film is more then enough and that is very much the case with this film as while yes granted Scream VI did have the better plot but it was also so far removed from being a Scream plot that it might as well have been called something else and the film would have worked just as well where as here in this film the plot is only something that you could do in Scream as it is the typical Scream plot with pretty much nothing new added to it however tho this films plot does feel alot less well thought out then the plots of the previous two Scream films this is despite the fact that the creator of this franchise Kevin Williamson not only co-wrote this film along with returning writer Guy Busick but he also served as this films director on top of that with the plot of this film being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott-Evans , Isabel May as Tatum Evans and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin. Also starring in this film is Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin , Anna Camp as Jessica Bowden , Michelle Randolph as Madison , Jimmy Tatro as Scott , Mckenna Grace as Hannah Turman , Asa Germann as Lucas Bowden , Celeste O'Connor as Chloe Parker , Sam Rechner as Ben Brown , Mark Consuelos as Robbie Rivers , Tim Simons as George Willis , Joel McHale as Mark Evans , Ethan Embry as Marco Davis , Kraig Dane as Karl Gibbs , Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty really good. With this being something that was quite shocking as Kevin Williamson hasn't really directed anything before now and therefor nobody would have any clue of what to expect from this film from an acting point of view and while yes there are some scenes that are better acted then others that is something that could also be said for any film and isn't an issue that's exclusive to this film with the films returning actors proving once again why they are so good in these film and heck all three of them are the best actors in the whole entire film as Neve Campbell , Courteney Cox , Jasmin Savoy Brown , Mason Gooding and Roger L. Jackson have just such a good handle on there characters with Neve , Courtney and Roger being able to play there characters in there sleep and Jasmin and Mason being just as good as they were in the previous two Scream films as well but that's not to knock the films debuting actors either as they are really good in this film it's just that for obvious reasons there not as good as the films returning actors with the acting that's in this film not really being helped buy the fact that the script for the film is so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

While the films returning characters are handled about as well as you'd expect with them acting how you expect them to where the film does falls apart character wise is with it's newer characters. As while the older characters are handled perfectly fine the same thing cannot be said for the films newer character as there's nothing memorable about this films new characters with alot of them just being so bland and generic even Tatum who has nothing that makes her standout as a character outside of who she's named after and her her mother is and that's it with it feeling like the makers of this film really couldn't be bothered to come up with new and even passable characters as they all just feel like rip offs of characters that we saw in other Scream movies and whilst this can be a good thing as it can be used to connect to sets to films together in ways that are fun and creative here they don't even do that with the characters so much so that it's hard to tell just who Tatum's friends are with the same thing even being true for the friend group in Scream 5 as well which is something that does mean that this is an issue with other Scream films and yet the co-writer of that film also returned to co-write this film and he didn't really learn his lesson on h0ow to create good side characters with this having the adverse effect of making us the audience not really care for any of Tatum's friends when they do start getting killed off as the makers of this film never really gave us a reason to care for them in the first place as they all feel like an afterthought almost as if they were added into the films script at the last possible minuet as that's how badly done that they are.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look there's no possible way to talk about this film without mentioning in some detail the so called controversy that's surrounding this film. As the star of the last two films Melissa Barrera who was pretty much in negations to return for this film was let go from the film after a post of her's from X went viral i'm not going to say what the the post was about or what it related but let's just say that it had something to do with a conflict that's far more complex and complicated that what anyone possibly understands with the company that now owns the Scream franchise Spyglass Media choosing not to bring her back for this film this was something that her fans just can't wrap there heads around as even tho there is a video of her confessing that she was only ever contracted to do the two Scream movies and the fact that this film hadn't even begun pre-production when all of this went down they still seem to think that she was both fired and blacklisted from Hollywood with things made worse when you take into account that the original director for the film left the film after his vision for the film fell apart when Jenna Ortega then chose to leave with the original writer and director for this film Christopher Landon later saying that he also left the film due to the fact that he received death threats and yet the people who are still on X right now saying to boycott this film are still trying to get it boycotted because of the stuff with Melissa and yet not one of them was saying boycott Scream VI when that same production refused to pay franchise icon Neve Campbell what she wanted for being in the film in the first place which is one thing but then alot more of them would start posting spoilers for this film online which is never a cool thing to do as half of the fun of a Scream film is working out who did it and one of the things that they posted spoilers for was who the killers for the film are.

Back to more pleasant things we actually do have alot more returnee's for this film as we have Matthew Lillard as Stu Macher , Laurie Metcalf as Nancy Loomis , Scott Foley as Roman Bridger and David Arquette as Dewey Riley all back in this film. With the film actually bringing them back in a creative way by having this films Ghostfaces use AI to bring them back as a way to taunt Sidney which regardless of what you think about AI on the whole is a pretty creative idea as AI can be used to create these lifelike images that could very easily trick those that aren't used to looking at a fake image and make them think that someone that they thought was dead is now coming back to get them with the only things that let the idea down being the fact that it does come at the expense of making Sidney look dumb as she does with her heart of hearts believe that Stu is back even tho she was the one that caused him to die in the first place and the fact being that the film doesn't take as full advantage of that idea as it could have done as they pretty much right away let you know that it's an AI image of Stu and not the real person when it would have been more effective to not have Gale or anyone mention that it's a fake image just to so that way they can have us the audience wonder for a little bit longer if it really is him or not only for them to reveal during the films lackluster third act that it's a fake image by then having all of the other dead characters appear as that way you keep Sidney your main protagonist from looking dumb and you get to use this pretty cool idea to as full advantage as you could possibly do at the same time.

Whilst this film is a good film there's no question about that two of the fatal things that it gets wrong is the fact that they don't give you clues as to who the killers are and the fact that the killers in this film are nobody characters essentially. As it's gets revealed that the killers in this film are Sidney's neighbour Jessica Bowden and Marco Davis who is someone who worked at a mental institution with both characters not really getting much screen time before the big reveal infact Jessica only gets about two scenes throughout the whole film before she's revealed and Marco gets one and that's it say what you will about the reveals in the last film but at the very least those killers actually got alot more screen time outside of the Ghostface costume with things being made all the more worse when you take into account that the makers of this film don't really take the time to give us the audience any clues as to who the killers are with the only thing that comes close to a clue being the fact that the images of Stu are AI and Tatum's boyfriend is working with an AI programme and that's it and even thar clue is huge misdirect in the grand scheme of things and yet when you go back to the first film there are plenty of clues as to who the killers of that film as the makers of that film knew that it was well and good to have plenty of kills but they mean nothing if the mystery isn't good and therefor they gave Billy and Stu those little moments where they would sneak a sly little look here and there at each other or one of them would say something that would act as cue for the other one to get into place thus allowing us the audience to piece it together ourselfs and yet here in this film due to the fact that the characters share about five minuets total screen time before getting unmasked none of that happens.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty seven minuets and twenty eight seconds. Which is a pretty short amount of time for this film to have as alot of the Scream ones even the bad ones last alot more closer to two hours with it feeling like that this film had a shorter running time so that Spyglass or Paramount Pictures could fit in more screenings of the film and thus earn more money from the film which isn't a bad idea in practice and yet in reality it's doesn't work as while the film does have the right amount of plot there to cover that amount of running time in the first place the film doesn't take the time to fully develop it's plot as the film does have to rush from plot to point without taking the time that it really needed to get there more naturally with this being due to he fact that the film does have a shorter running time with this being something that does also effect the films character development as while it's understandable that none of the returning characters would get character development as they have the previous films to get there character development yet none of the films new characters get any which is something that does make it harder to for us the audience to buy into any of this films new characters as none of Tatum's friends have anything that makes them stand out and be there own person whilst we know just as much about Tatum coming out of the the film then we did coming into the film with this being something that could have been fixed by giving the film a longer running time and yet as the makers of this film are more bothered about giving us exact scenes from the first Scream movie it does mean that both the plot and characters can't that well developed but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk a bout the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally tought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the films kills being the best apart of the film itself as we do get to see some really cool looking kills in the film with alot of the films being really creative and fun kills with us getting to see Ghostface kill people in some unique locations something which does make the kill in this film feel unique and while yes there is only so much that you can do with a person stabbing someone this film does find new ways to stop that from being boring with the best kill in the film oddly enough being the kill of the first Ghostface as there are technically three of them in this film with this first one getting killed about halfway into the film when Gale hits him with her car and while that might not sound like much what does set it apart is the build up to the kill itself as we get to see Ghostface stalk both Sidney and Tatum in there home with the girls walking inbetween the walls of there house to try and get out all the while Ghostface is stabbing into the wall to try and get them with him even catching Sidney in the arm at one point and while the girls do eventually get away thanks to the help of Mark it's Gale who gets the killing blow as she comes screeching in and hits him with her car thus killing him which is something that we haven't seen in any of the Scream films with that scene also serving as a pretty cool entrance for both Gale and the Meeks-Martin twins as well as being a really cool kill in it's own right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this film isn't as bad as the critics score on Rotten Tomatoes will have you believe as while yes it is the weaker of the newer Scream films that's not something that anyone will deny it's also not bad as Scream 3 as this film is still at the very least trying to be a decent Scream film with the film more then earning it's currently 78% audience score of Rotten Tomatoes as that's how good that this film is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in his very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Scream VI Film Review

Regardless of how you feel about the movie we are now just a few short days away from the release of Scream 7. Yet alot of the folks over on X remain just as divided on that film as ever with alot of people hating the idea of existing and others such as myself being genuinely excited to see the new film as it's the latest entry in a series that we all love and yet now the film that i'm going to be talking to you all about is being dragged in the mud for quite literally no reason what so ever so then join me as I review the film that sees Ghostface join Jason in taking New York with the film in question being called simply just "Scream VI" enjoy.

The plot of this film is one year after the events of the first film Sam , Tara , Chad and Mindy and a new group of friends including a returning Kirby and Gale find themselves at the centre of new Ghostface killings and have to find who he killer or killers are before it's to late.  Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this film was in all honesty really good with the makers of the film making the very wise choice to move the action away from Woodsboro as there only so many times that you can return there before it starts to get dull and boring and moving the action to New York means that the film can have this bigger plot where te killer can come out of anywhere something which the film does take full advantage of and while yes this film plot is the typical Scream plot it's what it does with that plot and set up that makes it interesting as having the whole plot effectively centre around the sisterly bond between Sam and Tara is something that does set this film apart as e get to see both character deal with the trauma of the previous film in there own way and while yes it would have been better if the film did have a much more stronger plot to it as the film doesn't really focus on it's plot all that much with the film picking up and dropping it's plot quite alot of the time it's when the film focuses on it's plot that it's story gets to be really interesting and intriguing with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring inn this film is Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter , Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin. Also starring in this film is Jack Champion as Ethan Landry , Henry Czerny as Christopher Stone , Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin , Liana Liberato as Quinn Bailey , Dermot Mulroney as Wayne Bailey , Devyn Nekoda as Anika Kayoko , Tony Revolori as Jason Carvey , Josh Segarra as Danny Brackett , Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis , Samara Weaving as Laura Crane , Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed , Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Roger L.

With this being something that's not really all that surprising as alot of this films actors are a bunch of really good actors with this being something that is proven again in this film due to the fact that there's not a single bad performance in the whole film that doesn't mean to say that there aren't scenes that could have had better acting in them it just means that the quality of the acting in the film as a whole is one that's really quite high and heck any film has scenes in them that don't have as good acting when compared to the rest of the film but here in this film you can tell that all of the films actors both returning and new have a level of care and respect for this franchise as they all do give it there best and because of that we do get new characters that feel perfectly well cast and performances that fit the film perfectly with the best actor in the whole entire film being Melissa Barrera which yes might be a cliche thing to say but it is also the most truest thing that you could say about this film from an acting point of view as she really does nail the role of Sam Carpenter down perfectly with her scenes with Jenna being alot of the best non kill scenes in the film with the acting that's in this very film really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so good that all this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance ill come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting thats in this very film.

Where this film really does shine is in it's characters as be they old characters or newly introduced characters this film does have some well done characters. With characters like Kirby and Sam being a good example of just how good that this films characters are as Kirby feels like how she did in Scream 4 with her retaining her wit and love of horror movies only ow she has the expirence of knowing what it's like to go through a Ghostface attack thanks to the events of the fourth film with the same thing also being true for the character of Sam as well as thanks to the events of the previous film she's now become to over protective of Tara so much so that it gets to the point where it's starting to drive a wedge between them something which does actually form the characters arc for this film as she has to learn not to be so overprotective of her sister with this being something that does make for an interesting change in her character as it does make sense that after almost being killed by someone that she would want to protect her sister due to the fact that these attacks could and in this case do happen again with both Chan and Mindy not really having any character growth inbetween the two films with them both being the same comedic relief characters that they were in the previous film with the only difference now being that Chad has a thing for Tara and that's it with the writing for the rest of the characters being fine but nothing that's to out there with both Quinn and Ethan being serviceable characters and you can't really get Gale wrong as there are five other films that pretty much tell you how to write her character with the only somewhat badly written character being Wayne Bailey and even then it's mostly due to the fact that he's not in the film all that much in the first place.

Pretty much since the release of Scream 4 fans had been wondering what happened to Kirby as for one reason or another this character just struck a chord with them. With this film being the film that brought her back into the franchise to not only reveal that she survived the events of the fourth film but thrived because of it with her becoming an FBI agent so that she can track down and stop other potential Ghostface attacks from happening in the first place which in theory isn't a bad idea but when you take into account that she missed the previous film it is something that makes you wonder if she was good at her job due to the fact that she missed a whole slate of killings one of which included someone that she may or may not have gotten close to even the fourth film and also featured the death of someone that she would have been close to in Dewey and while yes it was great that the makers of this film did indeed listen to the fans and gave them exactly what they wanted they opened up a whole other can of worms by NOT explaining where she was during the events of Scream 2022 as she is someone who does have interest in these Ghostface killings so she would therefor want to help out when a new set of killings happens in her own hometown but credit where it is due it was fun seeing her interact with Mindy as even tho they are both the Randy character of there group of friends they do have some great banter together that do help to make this film be more entertaining as you never really know just what it is that there going to say or do next but whilst her banter with Mindy was really good it's the fact that the makers of this film don't take the time to explain why she wasn't in the previous film as they go out of there way to explain why Sidney isn't in this film and yet for Kirby they don't do that this is despite the fact that they went out of there way to bring the character back in the first place.

If there's one thing that this film should get alot of credit it's for the fact that the film does take as full advantage of it's New York setting as it possible could have done. As while yes granted Scream 3 also had a big city setting it didn't take full advantage of that with alot of the kills in that film happening inside whereas here we do get attacks that happen in New York based locations like the attack on the bodega for example that is something that could only work in this film as it would feel almost out of place in any of the other films and another great example being the scene where Mindy gets attacks on the subway near the end of the movie as that is a scene that once again could only happen in this film and it's scenes like those two scenes that do prove that the makers of this film really wanted to take full advantage of it's New York setting and because of that they helped to make New York feel like a character in this movie as now the city itself is being attacked by Ghostface an while Jason Voorhees only walked around New York for a little bit before getting killed of in Jason Takes Manhattan Ghostface actually goes to these extremes to make you terrified of being in New York and that is something that the makers of this film really didn't have to do as they could have had it be the typical Scream movie but it's now set in New York and that's it but it's the fact that they went out of there way to make New York feel like character in this film and to have attacks you could only see in this film that do help to make this film be alot more better and while yes it would have been nice if we did get to see more of New York as that would have helped the location feel alot less like Woodsboro it's not something that was really needed to sell you on the film as the very idea of having Ghostface running New York is more then enough to get you excited for this film in the first place.

Where this film does start to fail is in it's mystery aspect as one of the things that people do go to these films for is to work out who is committing the kills in the film. Yet the film doesn't really do a good enough of not only making the killers be memorable characters outside of there roles as Ghostface but the film doesn't even give us any clues as to who the they are in the first place and yet if you contrast this with the first film we did get plenty of kills as to who was committing the kills in that film be it from Billy dropping his phone right after a Ghostface attack to all of the looks that both Billy and Stu share with each other other when Stu acts a little bit to crazy all of which might not seem like much at first but they are things that clue you into the fact that those characters aren't good guys where as here in this film we get none of that which does mean that when we do get to the reveal of Quinn , Ethan and Wayne all being the killers for the film with Wayne being more of a behind the scenes guy due to his age and Quinn and Ethan being the ones that actually kill people it is something that does come out nowhere as the film not only doesn't build up any of them apart from Ethan as suspects but they also don't give us any clues so that we the audience can work it out for our selves with the only thing that might be a clue being the fact that Quinn mentions that she had a brother that die in a car crash and that's it and that's not enough as we need more then that to go off of and yet it's something that the makers of this film fail to do which is something that does make this films mystery feel a lot more weaker then what it should have been.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and five minuets and ten seconds. Which to be fair to this film is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for these films and to be fair to this film it does have more then enough there interms of plot to cover that amount of running time in the first place and yet in saying this tho the film really doesn't take the time that it had to fully develop it's plot in the first place with it seeming like that the characters are just doing things for random reasons as so much of what the characters do in this film is in purpose of the films plot as rather it's just an excuse to get some of them in a certain location for a Ghostface attack when that is screen time that would be better served in developing the films plot with the same thig also being true for the films characters as well as the film doesn't take the time to develop alot of it's characters with the only character that gets some form of character development being Sam and that's really it as all of the other films characters getting none whatsoever even Gale who gets a phone call from Ghostface in this film gets no character development which fair enough you could argue the case that she gets her character development in the other films and therefor doesn't need it in this film however that is not something that applies to the other characters as even alot of the returning characters apart from Sam get nothing interms of character development when it would have made sense for the makers of the film to give characters like Quinn , Ethan and Wayne character development but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film having some really good kills as the makers of the film going as over the top as they could do with the films gore without the film becoming an outright parody of itself something which it very easily could have done with the films kills being made all the more effective due to the fact that there is some small effort to make Ghostface scary something which is helped by the fact that the film is set in a location where he can come out of the shadows and attack people from anywhere which is something that is made all the more effective by the fact that there's three people as Ghostface with the best kill in the film not even being a kill as it's the subway attack on Mindy as what makes that scene so well done being the fact that the makers of the film build up alot of tension with there being alot of people on both subways dressed up as Ghostface all of whom could very easily attack one of the main characters of the film with the editing doing a good job of selling you on the fact that it could be Sam's group that gets attacked only for the rug to be pulled and reveal that it's Mindy that gets attacked with the scene in Sam and Tara's apartment being a very close second place for that exact same reason with his film being filled to the brim with alot of good kills and while yes all of the kills in this film barring one are just people being stabbed part of what makes them work so well is the tension that's being built up and that is something that this film does really well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall no matter what you think of this film the one thing that cannot be denied is the fact it is a film that proves that the franchise can tell these unique stories with it's characters and still tell the typical Scream story so regardless of what you think of both this film , the next film or the previous film please keep it civil in the comments as we are all Scream fans after all an that is something that we should all be very proud of being in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Scream 2 Film Review

It's fair to say that the Scream franchise has had just as much ups as it has downs as for every Scream 2 there's a Scream 3. Heck even right now the fanbase seems to be more divided then it's ever been with people either loving or hating the trailer for Scream 7 so I thought that i'd take us back to more simpler time by talking about a film that we all can agree is really good and is easily one of the more better Scream sequels despite it's really very chaotic production and so then join me as I review the film that came out less then year after the first film with the film in question being called simply just "Scream 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film is one year after the events of the first film Sidney and Randy have to try and survive a new wave of Ghostface murders when someone starts making there own real life sequel. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being nothing ore the typical Scream plot but in all fairness to this film this was the first sequel to Scream which does mean that you really can't blame them for going back to what worked in the first film and in all fairness to the film the films plot does advance the characters in ways that do feel natural to who they are as well as advancing the plot of the films as a whole just by showing us that Ghostface really can attack Sidney from anywhere in the world with the plot of this film being one that was really well done as it is a strong enough plot to fully support being it's own unique film in the first place and while the first film did handle this plot the best it was interesting to see how the basic setup of someone who knows full well that she's in a horror movie trying to survive now trying to survive being in a horror sequel with this film even using all of the rules that slasher sequels do typically follow including killing of a main character from the first film to make us believe that the main characters can indeed now die with the only thing that doesn't work with this film in regards to it's plot is the fact that it doesn't lean as far as it should have done with the characters knowing that there in a sequel as that is something that could have made the film all the more fun to watch with the plot of this film being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films actors turning in some really good performances in this film with this not really being something that's all that surprising as alot of this films actors are a bunch of really good actors in there own right and with Wes Craven a proven director who really does know how to get a good performance out of his actors it's not really all that shocking that this film has a bunch of good performances in it as while it would be expected for the films returning actors to he good in this film as they would have had the experience of playing there characters before hand the films more newer characters also more then hold there own when it comes to acting with the films returning actors as well something that couldn't have been easy to do with the films best actor being Neve Campbell as she really does make the character of Sidney her own whilst also making her feel like the same character that we met in the first fil only now she's a little bit more battle hardened with this being something that does come through in her acting in this film with the acting that's in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of the naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Nine times out of ten in rushed sequels the characters really do suffer as the makers of the film just wouldn't have had the time to get the right but here in this film it really seems to be the opposite that's true. As within the first few seconds of them appearing on screen together you can tell right away that all of the films returning characters feel like they did inn the first film with all of them having something about them in this film that helps to make them interesting characters with Randy taking a film class which is something that does feel very true to his character , Sid is now the college weirdo thank to the latest attacks , Dewey is more of a big brother figure to Sid whilst still trying to deal with his own past with Gale herself is just as fame hungry as she was in the first film with her even showing how far she's willing to go by surprising Sid with an interview with Cotton which is something that her character would do this early on in the franchises run where the film does somewhat start to faulter is in the newer characters as outside f maybe a handful of them alot of them do start to fade away and fall into the background alot with this possibly being due to the fact that not only was this film a very rushed production but it was also being made at the same time as the original I Know What You Did Last Summer which Scream 2 writer Kevin Williamson also wrote with him being spread a bit to thin and while this films new characters are easily better then the ones that are in Scream 3 as these ones really are at the very least somewhat memorable there not as good as the characters from the first Scream movie as while people do remember the characters from the first movie alot more then they do the characters from this film there is still quit a clear attempt to make this films new characters just as good as the ones in the first film.

Whilst there is quite clearly two Ghostface killers in this film given one scene in the film it is possible that there could have been a third one. As if you recall in the scene where Sidney and Hallie get attacked near the wrecked police car there is already a knockout Ghostface with Mickey being the one to get knocked out now it is possible that Mrs. Loomis was the one to kill Hallie but then you have to take into account all of the twists and turns that the girls do running two and from the car so there was no way that there could have been both Ghostface killers there to kill them as Mickey was already knocked out and Mrs. Loomis wouldn't have been strong enough to lift an entire human being on her own without some help there could however have been a third unknown Ghostface killer helping her out which is something that Scream 3 actually could have dealt with as they could have revealed that Roman the killer in that film was the one that was helping her out which would actually make alot of sense given the fact that he hates Sid's guts and has done since she was born due to how badly there mother treated him it is also possible that with Stu being confirmed to return in some capacity in Scream 7 that it might also have been him as he would want revenge on Sid for what happend during the course of that film and given that he and Billy were best friends it would make sense that he would know who his mother is as well either one works as it explains why the pretty feeble looking Mrs. Loomis is suddenly able to lift an entire human body on her own something which even the more fittest of people would struggle to do but if she had help by an unknown third person then it is something that could have been really very easily.

Whilst this film does have alot of positives in it it does also have some negatives as well like how does Sid not recognise Mrs. Loomis during quite literally any of the scenes where she's surrounded by the press as Mrs. Loomis was in those scenes with her and given the fact that she and Billy dated for quite a while she would have seen what his mother looked like quite alot of the time. The other thing is the fact that the film got rid of the highly entertaining Randy which yes granted does serve a purpose as it does say to us the audience that now anyone can die but interms of the film itself nothing is added by him dieing as you could have had any of the films new characters be the one that get's killed of in the van and it would have worked all the same and while Randy death was done to say that now any character can die it is something that does then rob us of the most entertaining character in the franchise and one that very easily could have taken over the franchise should the makers of the film have chosen not to bring Sid back as there is a lot of potential with his character and just going back to the whole Sid not picking up on Mrs. Loomis thing this is something that very easily could have been fixed by having Mrs. Loomis either wear a disguise when she's in front of Sid or by having her walk of screen whenever Sid is about to walk on screen as then it would be feasible that Sid wouldn't recognise her being there in the first place and you very easily could have had a character like Joel be the the one to get killed off as that character adds nothing to the film in the first place and we would have gotten alot more Randy in future Scream movies.

The motives for each killer as well as the mystery of the film as a whole was actually really good as Mickey is nothing but an insane film student that believes that people watch horror movies to get inspired by them and Mrs. Loomis just straight up wants revenge and that's it. Both of which are things that does work really well for there respective characters but the film doesn't go as far into detail as they really should have dine as we don't get to see Mickey acting all that crazy at any other point in the film which granted would have been very hard to not make him seem like a suspect when he's acting insane it is something that could have been done with just the looks that the character gives in certain situation and how he acts in certain situations as well with the films mystery being as good as it was every going to be given the fact that the film had a chaotic production history with the films script which included who the killer was going to be being leaked online which forced the makers of this film to do a very last minuet rewrite of the films script and the film being rushed into development due to the success of the first film but with this being said it would have added to the mystery if we got to see more of the red herrings like Derek for example acting like they could be the killer as that could then throw us of the sent a little bit and it would have helped if the film gave us some subtle clues as to who the killer of killers were in this film as these are meant to be mystery films after all so it would be in this films nature to give us some clues to help us the audience to solve the mystery of who these killers are in the first place.

Now then this film really has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and eleven seconds. Which to be to this film is a pretty solid running time for a film lie this one to have as the film does have more then enough plot there to really cover it's running time with the film even using it's running time really wisely as well as the plot of the film is as well developed as it was ever going to be with the film to really needing to develop it's plot all that much as the film is just copying what the first film did with it only adding in a few new things and that's it and yet at the same time tho what new things it does add like the fact that this film is spoofing horror sequels already feel right at home and well developed as it's the Scream franchises DNA to spoof what the in thing is in horror but it would have helped the film out a little bit more if the film did spent alot less time on giving us gory death scenes and weird theater scenes and giving us scenes that do develop it's plot a little bit more but tho to be fair this films character are also as well as developed as they were ever going to be as while yes it is possible that in the leaked version of Scream 2 that characters like Hallie and Derek and even both Mrs. Loomis and Mickey for that example got some character development but given just how rushed this film was in the first place and the fact that the films script was rewritten at the eleventh hour they get as much character development as you'd expect them to get with the film giving us more focus on the kills then it does the character development which is something that does really make alot of sense given that this is a horror film but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the film delivering on two of it's rules by having more kills and more elaborate deaths with all of this film kills working really well in this film as while nothing will ever be able to top the more intimate nature of the first films kills the kills in this film do work really well as all of the films deaths do feel more important to the plot with a good example of this being the death of Maureen and Phil at the start of the film as the previous film could only dream of having not one but two kills take place in public place and infront of possibly hundreds of the people with there deaths being he deaths that kick of the plot of the film and yet it's not there deaths that are the best deaths n the film as that honor goes to the death of Randy as while it is a quick kill it is one that is built up really well with both him Gale and Dewey quickly searching the surrounding area to see where the call is coming only or Randy to get sneaked up on and dragged into a van where he is then very brutally stabbed to death with his death being the best kill due to the fact that it does now tell us the rest of the films main characters can get killed in this film with the rest of the films kills being really good as well as you can tell that the makers of this film put alot of thought and effort into giving us some really creative and cool kills that whilst they don't top what they did in the first film are still really good in their own right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst alot of the modern Scream fan will be focused on either hating or loving the trailer for Scream 7 one things for sure and that's the fact that this film is easily better then Scream 3 as this film is just such a good film that is sure to appease alot of the Scream fanbase in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of that I personally used in this very review from tenor , IMP Awards .

Scream 4 Film Review

Out of all of the iconic horror franchises out there Scream is perhaps the one that alot of people still talk about to this very day. While granted that is more due to the fact that Scream's 5 and 6 where genuinely really good movies but it's also due to the fact that the development of Scream 7 was just a nightmare however alot of people seem to forget that we did get a legacy sequel in 2011 and so then join me as i review the film that brought the Scream franchise back to life with the film in question being called simply just "Scream 4" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when Sidney Prescott returns to Woodsboro to promote her new book she becomes trapped in a slew of new Ghostface killings and along with Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley have to find out who this new killer is before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot doing a good job of catching up with the legacy characters in a way that feels natural and true to who they are as characters and yet introducing us to a whole new slew of characters as well and while this films plot could be seen as being tired as it just follows the exact same formular and general synopsis of alot of the Scream films it adds enough new thins to it that it does make it seem fresh and new again and with this films taking on horror remakes it does make sense that this film would have the general same plot as the first film only done on a much bigger budget as that ties into the fact that the killer of this film is doing a remake of the first film but with that being said this film should have a completely different plot as all it does is make this film feel pointless due to the fact that the plot of this film is strikingly similar to the plot of the first film with the plot of this film being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed , Emma Roberts as Jill Roberts , Anthony Anderson as Anthony Perkins , Adam Brody as Ross Hoss , Rory Culkin as Charlie Walker , Mary McDonnell as Kate Roberts , Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks , Alison Brie as Rebecca Walters , Marielle Jaffe as Olivia Morris , Nico Tortorella as Trevor Sheldon , Erik Knudsen as Robbie Mercer , Anna Paquin as Rachel , Kristen Bell as Chloe , Shenae Grimes as Trudie , Lucy Hale as Sherrie , Britt Robertson as Marnie Cooper , Aimeé Teegarden as Jenny Randall and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which given not only who is starring in this film but also the fact that this film is being directed by Wes Craven who really does know how to get a good performance out of his actors with it being really hard to say just who the best actor in this film is as there all just so good and while yes the original four actors Neve Campbell , David Arquette , Courteney Cox and Roger L. Jackson are all on top form in this film there acting is more then matched by the acting of the actors that are making there debut in this film as that's just how good the acting that's in this film really is with both the new and old actors turning in some truly great performances that help to make this film alot more better then what it really had any right to be with the best o the new actors being quite easily Emma Roberts who goes from innocent victim to twisted killer at the drop of a hat and she does so effortlessly and with such ease that it's really quite terrifying in it's own right with the acting that's in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

While it would be super easy to talk about all o the four returning characters what would be slightly more challenging is to talk about the films newer characters. As while this film new characters won't ever be as popular as say Tatum from Scream 1 or Sam and Tara from Scream's 5 and 6 this films new characters are some fairly enjoyable characters with even Kirby proving to be so popular that she would return in Scream 6 and yet here she is basically the female version of Randy as she has all of the knowledge about horror films so much so that she technically gets one of Ghostfaces questions right thus making her the first person to do so with Jill coming across as being your stereotypical teenager only for it to be revealed that there's something more darker and more sinister hiding not only within her but also Charlie as well as even tho they both have different motives they both willingly commit these crimes and while yes granted some of this films newer characters like Rebecca and to a lesser extent Judy aren't all that well developed with even Judy being played more for laughs in this film then she would be in the very next film but at the same time tho alot of this films characters just feel like lesser versions of the first films characters which granted might be the point as this film is meant to be spoofing horror remakes but that doesn't mean that you have to copy the characters of the first film as all that does is make you wish that you were watching the first film and where as the first film took the time to fully develop it's characters this film really doesn't do that.

As was mentioned earlier on in this review this film is spoofing remakes from the horror genre which is something that does make alot of sense. As these films always spoofed what was popular in the world of horror from sequels to a concluding chapter and as such since horror remakes where big in the mid to early 2010's it made sense that this film would spoof horror remakes by pretty much being a remake of the first film however what the film fails to mention is the fact that alot of those horror remakes are just flat out bad movies something that they could have done by having one of the characters bring up just how bad alot of horror remakes and then have either Charlie or Jill say that these killings are better then the ones in the first film and that's really it and heck the film really doesn't go all the way with the remake idea as it doesn't have anything that connects it back to the original film be it a familiar location or a cameo from one of the original actors something that alot of horror remakes do also do and while granted it would have been hard to work out how to get an original actor from the first film in this movie they very easily could have had something other then the school make an appearance in this movie like how fun would it have been to have Stu's house make an appearance in this movie even if it's just in the background it's something that still have connected it to the original film in a way that makes alot of sense as these characters would have known about the original killings and given that Charlie and Robbie are meant to be horror buffs with Kirby it would also make sense for them to hold their annual Stab-A-Thon in the house that the original killings took place in.

Given that these film has always built themselves as being a mystery slasher film and al of the films including Scream 3 do put alot of effort into the mystery aspect of the film. With the same thing also being true for this film as well as there's alot of thought and effort put into creating a genuinely good mystery and while Jills motives might seem dated by today's standerd back in 2011 they where oddly topical but with that being said it would have made this film alot more better if this film did give us some clues as t who the killers might be as they would then allow for repeat viewings of the film so that we could look for anything that we might have missed the first time but as the film really doesn't do that then there's no reason to go back and watch this film as your not going to find nothing new that clues in to who the killer was when if you look back at the first film they did one simple trick to try and make us guess just who the killer was and that's the fact that they had alot of the characters wear very similar boots to ones that the killer wore and even having Stu mock one of the rules of a horror movie is big clue that he's one of the killers and yet with this film there's none of that as there more focused on trying to copy what alot of remakes do instead of just doing there own thing and add in things that would make the mystery aspect alot more better then what it already as even having a character have a look just before a kill is about to take place would be more then enough to make us think that they are the killer and while yes having a person walk off screen before a kill happens works just as well it means nothing when there are no clues in the film to back it all up in the first place.

While the whole mystery of this film could have been done alot more better what also worked really for this film was the fact that one of it's killers is Sidney's cousin. This works in two ways as not only Emma Roberts an incredibly skilled actor in her own right but also because of the fact that it's something that we the audience wouldn't see coming at all as of course we'd believe that a close member of her family is a good person and yet when it's revealed that she is one of this films killers it is something that works in all of the right ways as this film has been all about not only copying what the original film did but also trying to outdo it and what better way to do that then to have a female Ghostface with even her motives making sense for someone from that time period as all she wants to do is to get famous for doing nothing much like how she's perceived Sidney got her fame and her fortune without realizing the fact that Sidney had to quite literally got though hell not one . not twice but three times just to get it and even then it wasn't something that she wanted where as Jill is alot like every teenager from around the time that this film takes place in that she must likely watches alot of reality TV shows and thinks that being famous is easy she even has a line of dialog near the end of the film that sums her character perfectly where she says that she doesn't need friends she needs fans and that one line of dialog is something that is perfect for her character is she a good character no but then again you could also argue that alot the characters in thus film aren't well done characters and while the Scream films would finally get a female Ghostface killer done right in Scream 5's Amber Freeman it's important to note that without Jill giving the makers of Scream 2022 the blueprint on how to do a female Ghostface killer then Amber might have turned out to be just another badly done character as well.

Now then his film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minuets and forty six seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running tome for alot of these Scream movies and to this films credit it really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time but where as Scream , Scream 2022 and Scream VI used their running times alot more wisely but developing there characters and locations alot more this film really doesn't do any of that with the new characters feeling like carbon copies of the original films characters and even tho Woodsboro was set up in the first film here it oddly feels lot smaller and condensed which would be fine if alot of the films new characters were interesting character but sadly there not as out of the new characters only three of them are actually memorable and they are Charlie , Jill and Kirby with the rest of them just being bland characters and while the returning characters do get off betting this is more because of the fact that we've had three other films to get to know as characters and so of course there going to come off as looking better because we've had alot more time to get to know them where as with the new characters for alot of them we only had this one film and while Judy was very vastly improved upon in the next film it still doesn't change the fact that she wasn't that well developed in this film and this is something that the makers of this film really could have done as this film was meant to be the first in a new trilogy of Scream films and yet they didn't bother to use some of this films lengthy running time to develop any of it's new characters but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which is something that's not really all that new as this films director and producer Wes Craven has always had some really good kills in alot of his movies and therefor it's not all that shocking that this film would not only have tons of blood and gore in it but that they would also be some really creative and inventive kills as well and while the kills in this film won't top the kills in other Scream movies that doesn't stop them from being the highlight of this movie with perhaps the best kill in this film being a tie between Olivia's kill and the final fight ill between Sidney and Jill as while Olivia's kill was alot more brutal and raw almost like it was a really violent wrestling match Jill's death scene is just as great as she does get her wish to become famous as no one outside of the hospital knows that she actually committed all of these crimes just to get her fifteen minuets of fame and while it's possible that her fame would have faded and turned into infamy the very fact that she did still end up getting exactly what she wanted just without her knowing makes her death in this film one that's really impactful and one that does stay with you long after the film has finished as that's just how good not only her kill but what alot of this films kills really are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst this film is quite easily a return to form after the terrible film that was Scream 3 this is still not the franchise at it's best either. As while it does have all of the iconography there it feels like the makers of this film forgot what it was that made the Scream films work in the first place with it being clear that some fresh blood was needed to keep this franchise alive and well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now the i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very revie and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girl and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page actually has images from this film really are up and on the official Scream fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Ice Cream Man 2026 Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

Horror has been having quite the high over the past years with films like Late Night With The Devil , In A Violent Nature and Obsession all ...
