Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2 Film Review

Horror sequels are a dime a dozen with dozens of them being made each and every year with the same thing even being true for this film. With this film even being the latest long line on legacy sequels with the film even bringing back a few of the original films stars with one of them even being this films director and so then join me as I review the film that takes us to another Bowl-O-Rama with the film in question being called simply just "Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film three some girls and guys are tasked with stealing anything from a random bowling alley with them accidentally unleashing The Imp and now they have to find a way to defeat him once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad however tho this films plot wasn't all that good as all it was was just a complete and total carbon copy of the first films plot which even then wasn't that good of a plot in the first place which makes you wonder why the makers of this film just chose to straight up copy that films plot beat for beat when surely they could have come up with something that's alot more creative then what we ended up getting as if you've seen the first film then you've good as well seen this film as well as that's just how similar the two plots are with this films plot not even being that strong of a plot in the first place as the plot of this film does keep on disappearing alot of the time so much so that it really does make it harder to tell just what the main plot of the film was even meant to be in the first place and while the makers of this film do get some credit for at least trying to do a sequel to Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama the fact is that all of the charm that that films plot had is gone in this film due to how predictable that this films plot really is in the first place with the plot of this film not even being really rather entertaining and nor is it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Kelli Maroney as Auntie Snake , Michelle Bauer as Lisa and this film director and The Slumber Party Massacre star Brinke Stevens as Taffy. Also tarring in this film is Jessie Gill as Sarah , Audrey Neal as Ginger , Justin Lupo as Dinger , Glory Rodriguez as Bitsy , Nate Blair as Turkey , Katie O'Neill as Tiffany , Hannah Tullett as Devon , Luka Parente as Bart and Derek Jeremiah Reid as the voice of The Imp.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty just OK at best. As while the acting in the first film was really nothing to write home about either the first film had at least some actors in it who you knew could act where as in this film while yes we do have some actor returning from the previous film the film is instead mostly made up of actors who have no idea of what kind of a movie that there starring in and so they play everything straight which ironically makes there performances in this film all the more boring to watch as this is a film that really does require some really over the top acting in order to make the film work in the first place with this being something that the actors of the first movie understood really well and yet it's something that does seem to be lost on the actors in this film and while yes we do get some solid performances in this film with the best example being Kelli Maroney as Auntie Snake and Glory Rodriguez as Bitsy sadly tho alot of the acting in this film just isn't that good and while both Michelle Bauer and Brinke Stevens are good in this film they were better in the previous film with the films best actor being Glory Rodriguez as Bitsy as even tho her character is quite literally just the same as Spider from the first movie she does have alot of charm to her and her performance is solid enough to make it work in the first place with the acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this film actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in he first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

While the first film could get away with having bad acting due to having some decent characters this film barely has that going for it. As while this films characters aren't bad persay it's just that there's really nothing to any of these characters which yes is also true for the characters in the original film as well but in that film they had at least some good actors to make you forget about the lack of good characters in the film where as here because of the fact that this film is more focused on reminding you about that first film it forgets to give you characters that aren't even so bad that there good as all of the films characters are just very one dimensional characters that are at best very wooden characters as they have nothing interms of a personality trait with all of the girls just being poor copies of the girls from the first film and all of the guys just being the stereotypical dumb one of the group and even Itsy who is by far the best character in the whole entire as it does feel like that there was some actual effort put into her character doesn't really get much time to fully develop her characters personality and as such she just comes of as being a poor man's Spider something which is not helped by both her name and the fact that it's more then hinted at in the film that Spider is her mother as for the guys none of them are that interesting as characters which again could also be argued is true for the guys in the first film but at least there there was the excuse of the fact that it was the directors second film and was writer Sergei Haseneczs only writing credit ever where as with this film writer Kent Roudebush is an experienced writer and therefor should have known to further develop the characters alot more to make them alot better then the characters in the first film.

This film does follow the trend that did technically start with Halloween H20 by being a legacy sequel as the film does bring back both Taffy and Lisa from the first film. With the idea of this film being a legacy sequel of sorts doesn't really work all that well for this film just due to the fact that the first film not only wasn't that well known in the first place but also didn't spawn any other sequels and so there's not really much of a fanbase there for this film to begin with whereas with films even as recent as this years dreadful I Know What You Did Last Summer they at the very least had several sequels and enough of a fanbase to really warrant revisiting the original films characters in the first place where as here because of the fact that the first one was just a one and done movie there's really no need to bring back characters from the first movie as we really hadn't had the chance to see how the world of these films reacts to these events and the legends that could come from it that's not to say that making this film a legacy sequel is a bad idea because it's really not in fact it's oddly wise of them to do that as then they could bring back some horror heavyweights which would be sure to get fans of the genre interested in checking out this movie but at the same time to alot of people who love horror might not have watched the first movie in the first place as the film wasn't that big of hit at the box office and instead went to become the cult hit that it was destined to become and therefor it really didn't make sense to make this film a legacy sequel whereas it would have made alot more sense to go the standalone route with this film and have a completely new set of characters and not feature any of the original actors in the film at all.

Unlike the first film this film does put alot more emphasis on the fact that this is a comedy horror film by having alot more jokes then what the first film had. As in the first film what made it funny was how over the top everything eventually became where as here the film does have jokes in it and sadly not only all of the films jokes work as they alot of them just make the female characters look dumb and in one case is just so stupid but with that being said tho when the film does want to tell a good joke it can be pretty decent with it being revealed that Lisa and Taffy have been trapped with The Imp for almost thirty years and have been talking none stop for that amount of time something which was very slowly driving him crazy which was a goo idea as it is something that does feel true to their characters even tho we didn't get to see them talking all that much to each other in the first film however the one joke that is just stupid is the fact that they reveal that Spider's actual lawful first name is Spider with Auntie Snake also being called Snake which is just so stupid as they both sound more like nicknames then actual first names at least with Itsy her name does kind of go with having a spider like name so it does kind of come across as being funny but it a cute kind of way where as revealing someone's lawful name is Spider is just stupid and while yes they do explain it away by having Snake say that there parents where big into animals it doesn't make that joke reveal any less stupid as anyone called Spider or having any dumb lawful first name like that would change it to literally anything else due to the fact that they would have been getting bullied as a kid for having a dumb first name.

It's not all doom and gloom for this film tho as there some very small hints of a good or even perhaps watchable film to be found in this film. Like the fact that right from the title you know right away just what kind of a film that your in for and so you know not to go into this film with super high expectations and the fact that the both the make up effects and the animation on The Imp do look really good with it actually looking like that both the actors and The Imp were actually in the same scene in this film however tho this film is sadly filled with far two much bad things tho as the film is way more focused on recreating elements from the first film that it forgets just what it was that made those elements work so well in the first place with the film also being very of the time as the writing for the female characters is very much the kind of writing that you saw in the post covid and post Metoo era were it was all about making sure that you knew that the female characters were strong characters without actually giving us the audience a reason to like them in the first place and with this film kind of being a throw back to eighties cult hit films where the writing for the female characters was never that good in the first place it makes it odd that in this film they would do something like that when that's not something that works in any kind of film whatsoever as all it does is date your film right away and while the film does have some really good looking make up effects that doesn't make up for the fact that the makers of this film don't really give us the audience a reason to actually care about the characters and want to see them make it out of the film alive and well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and two minuets and twenty five seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running time for any Full Moon Features film these day but at the same time tho this is a film that really could have been at the very least ten or twenty minuets longer as while the film has the right amount of plot there to cover it's current running time it also can't use it's running time all that wisely as the plot of the film isn't that well developed and can't be that well developed due to the fact that it has to rush along to it's next plot point whereas if the film did have a slightly longer running time then it would allot for the film to take the time that it really did need in order to further develop it's plot with the fact that this film has a short running im even effecting it's characters as the film can't develop it's characters either whereas if the film was longer then it would allow for the characters to get some actual character develop since as things stand none of that can happen as the film has to rush along to it's next plot point and that does come at the expense of having a well developed plot and well developed characters when it would have made more sense for the makers of this film to put just as much effort into developing the plot of the film and the films characters then into giving us jokes that just aren't funny as if the film did have a well developed plot and well developed characters then they could get some positive word of mouth from people which would then result in more people buying the film in the first place but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally tought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad. As there really aren't that many creative kills in this film this is despite the fact that the premise of the film really does allow for some really creative kills to happen and yet outside of one kill where a guys gets turned into a giant wrapper and then eaten by The Imp but that's really it as the rest of the films kills are either just repeats of kills from the previous film or are just badly done kills with the only decent kill and therefor the films best kill being the one where a guy gets turned into a giant wrapper and then eaten by The Imp as while yes it's a cheesy effect to see in the film it's also a kill that does show that the makers of this film know that they have permission to do these really creative kills and yet for some odd reason it's only in this one kill where they get the chance to be creative with a character getting killed by being hit over the head with a bowling pin and another character getting killed by the man of her dreams both of which are just really uninspired kills and while this might be due to the fact that the film might not have had a big budget in the first place which if that was the case then it is understandable why the film doesn't have that many actually good kills in the first place but it still would have been nice if the film did have alot more really creative kills in it in the first place in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall it really doesn't need saying but yeah this film really is a bad film as it fails to recapture the spirit and tone of the original this is despite the fact that this film does have two of the stars from the original film in this one with this film not even being a film that's so bad that it's good as it's just a really bad film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least, Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this film really does earn itself a gran old score of exactly a 3 out of 10 from me.

Now ten as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.
