Scream 4 Film Review

Out of all of the iconic horror franchises out there Scream is perhaps the one that alot of people still talk about to this very day. While granted that is more due to the fact that Scream's 5 and 6 where genuinely really good movies but it's also due to the fact that the development of Scream 7 was just a nightmare however alot of people seem to forget that we did get a legacy sequel in 2011 and so then join me as i review the film that brought the Scream franchise back to life with the film in question being called simply just "Scream 4" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when Sidney Prescott returns to Woodsboro to promote her new book she becomes trapped in a slew of new Ghostface killings and along with Gale Weathers and Dewey Riley have to find out who this new killer is before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot doing a good job of catching up with the legacy characters in a way that feels natural and true to who they are as characters and yet introducing us to a whole new slew of characters as well and while this films plot could be seen as being tired as it just follows the exact same formular and general synopsis of alot of the Scream films it adds enough new thins to it that it does make it seem fresh and new again and with this films taking on horror remakes it does make sense that this film would have the general same plot as the first film only done on a much bigger budget as that ties into the fact that the killer of this film is doing a remake of the first film but with that being said this film should have a completely different plot as all it does is make this film feel pointless due to the fact that the plot of this film is strikingly similar to the plot of the first film with the plot of this film being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Hayden Panettiere as Kirby Reed , Emma Roberts as Jill Roberts , Anthony Anderson as Anthony Perkins , Adam Brody as Ross Hoss , Rory Culkin as Charlie Walker , Mary McDonnell as Kate Roberts , Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks , Alison Brie as Rebecca Walters , Marielle Jaffe as Olivia Morris , Nico Tortorella as Trevor Sheldon , Erik Knudsen as Robbie Mercer , Anna Paquin as Rachel , Kristen Bell as Chloe , Shenae Grimes as Trudie , Lucy Hale as Sherrie , Britt Robertson as Marnie Cooper , AimeĆ© Teegarden as Jenny Randall and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which given not only who is starring in this film but also the fact that this film is being directed by Wes Craven who really does know how to get a good performance out of his actors with it being really hard to say just who the best actor in this film is as there all just so good and while yes the original four actors Neve Campbell , David Arquette , Courteney Cox and Roger L. Jackson are all on top form in this film there acting is more then matched by the acting of the actors that are making there debut in this film as that's just how good the acting that's in this film really is with both the new and old actors turning in some truly great performances that help to make this film alot more better then what it really had any right to be with the best o the new actors being quite easily Emma Roberts who goes from innocent victim to twisted killer at the drop of a hat and she does so effortlessly and with such ease that it's really quite terrifying in it's own right with the acting that's in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

While it would be super easy to talk about all o the four returning characters what would be slightly more challenging is to talk about the films newer characters. As while this film new characters won't ever be as popular as say Tatum from Scream 1 or Sam and Tara from Scream's 5 and 6 this films new characters are some fairly enjoyable characters with even Kirby proving to be so popular that she would return in Scream 6 and yet here she is basically the female version of Randy as she has all of the knowledge about horror films so much so that she technically gets one of Ghostfaces questions right thus making her the first person to do so with Jill coming across as being your stereotypical teenager only for it to be revealed that there's something more darker and more sinister hiding not only within her but also Charlie as well as even tho they both have different motives they both willingly commit these crimes and while yes granted some of this films newer characters like Rebecca and to a lesser extent Judy aren't all that well developed with even Judy being played more for laughs in this film then she would be in the very next film but at the same time tho alot of this films characters just feel like lesser versions of the first films characters which granted might be the point as this film is meant to be spoofing horror remakes but that doesn't mean that you have to copy the characters of the first film as all that does is make you wish that you were watching the first film and where as the first film took the time to fully develop it's characters this film really doesn't do that.

As was mentioned earlier on in this review this film is spoofing remakes from the horror genre which is something that does make alot of sense. As these films always spoofed what was popular in the world of horror from sequels to a concluding chapter and as such since horror remakes where big in the mid to early 2010's it made sense that this film would spoof horror remakes by pretty much being a remake of the first film however what the film fails to mention is the fact that alot of those horror remakes are just flat out bad movies something that they could have done by having one of the characters bring up just how bad alot of horror remakes and then have either Charlie or Jill say that these killings are better then the ones in the first film and that's really it and heck the film really doesn't go all the way with the remake idea as it doesn't have anything that connects it back to the original film be it a familiar location or a cameo from one of the original actors something that alot of horror remakes do also do and while granted it would have been hard to work out how to get an original actor from the first film in this movie they very easily could have had something other then the school make an appearance in this movie like how fun would it have been to have Stu's house make an appearance in this movie even if it's just in the background it's something that still have connected it to the original film in a way that makes alot of sense as these characters would have known about the original killings and given that Charlie and Robbie are meant to be horror buffs with Kirby it would also make sense for them to hold their annual Stab-A-Thon in the house that the original killings took place in.

Given that these film has always built themselves as being a mystery slasher film and al of the films including Scream 3 do put alot of effort into the mystery aspect of the film. With the same thing also being true for this film as well as there's alot of thought and effort put into creating a genuinely good mystery and while Jills motives might seem dated by today's standerd back in 2011 they where oddly topical but with that being said it would have made this film alot more better if this film did give us some clues as t who the killers might be as they would then allow for repeat viewings of the film so that we could look for anything that we might have missed the first time but as the film really doesn't do that then there's no reason to go back and watch this film as your not going to find nothing new that clues in to who the killer was when if you look back at the first film they did one simple trick to try and make us guess just who the killer was and that's the fact that they had alot of the characters wear very similar boots to ones that the killer wore and even having Stu mock one of the rules of a horror movie is big clue that he's one of the killers and yet with this film there's none of that as there more focused on trying to copy what alot of remakes do instead of just doing there own thing and add in things that would make the mystery aspect alot more better then what it already as even having a character have a look just before a kill is about to take place would be more then enough to make us think that they are the killer and while yes having a person walk off screen before a kill happens works just as well it means nothing when there are no clues in the film to back it all up in the first place.

While the whole mystery of this film could have been done alot more better what also worked really for this film was the fact that one of it's killers is Sidney's cousin. This works in two ways as not only Emma Roberts an incredibly skilled actor in her own right but also because of the fact that it's something that we the audience wouldn't see coming at all as of course we'd believe that a close member of her family is a good person and yet when it's revealed that she is one of this films killers it is something that works in all of the right ways as this film has been all about not only copying what the original film did but also trying to outdo it and what better way to do that then to have a female Ghostface with even her motives making sense for someone from that time period as all she wants to do is to get famous for doing nothing much like how she's perceived Sidney got her fame and her fortune without realizing the fact that Sidney had to quite literally got though hell not one . not twice but three times just to get it and even then it wasn't something that she wanted where as Jill is alot like every teenager from around the time that this film takes place in that she must likely watches alot of reality TV shows and thinks that being famous is easy she even has a line of dialog near the end of the film that sums her character perfectly where she says that she doesn't need friends she needs fans and that one line of dialog is something that is perfect for her character is she a good character no but then again you could also argue that alot the characters in thus film aren't well done characters and while the Scream films would finally get a female Ghostface killer done right in Scream 5's Amber Freeman it's important to note that without Jill giving the makers of Scream 2022 the blueprint on how to do a female Ghostface killer then Amber might have turned out to be just another badly done character as well.

Now then his film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minuets and forty six seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running tome for alot of these Scream movies and to this films credit it really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time but where as Scream , Scream 2022 and Scream VI used their running times alot more wisely but developing there characters and locations alot more this film really doesn't do any of that with the new characters feeling like carbon copies of the original films characters and even tho Woodsboro was set up in the first film here it oddly feels lot smaller and condensed which would be fine if alot of the films new characters were interesting character but sadly there not as out of the new characters only three of them are actually memorable and they are Charlie , Jill and Kirby with the rest of them just being bland characters and while the returning characters do get off betting this is more because of the fact that we've had three other films to get to know as characters and so of course there going to come off as looking better because we've had alot more time to get to know them where as with the new characters for alot of them we only had this one film and while Judy was very vastly improved upon in the next film it still doesn't change the fact that she wasn't that well developed in this film and this is something that the makers of this film really could have done as this film was meant to be the first in a new trilogy of Scream films and yet they didn't bother to use some of this films lengthy running time to develop any of it's new characters but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which is something that's not really all that new as this films director and producer Wes Craven has always had some really good kills in alot of his movies and therefor it's not all that shocking that this film would not only have tons of blood and gore in it but that they would also be some really creative and inventive kills as well and while the kills in this film won't top the kills in other Scream movies that doesn't stop them from being the highlight of this movie with perhaps the best kill in this film being a tie between Olivia's kill and the final fight ill between Sidney and Jill as while Olivia's kill was alot more brutal and raw almost like it was a really violent wrestling match Jill's death scene is just as great as she does get her wish to become famous as no one outside of the hospital knows that she actually committed all of these crimes just to get her fifteen minuets of fame and while it's possible that her fame would have faded and turned into infamy the very fact that she did still end up getting exactly what she wanted just without her knowing makes her death in this film one that's really impactful and one that does stay with you long after the film has finished as that's just how good not only her kill but what alot of this films kills really are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst this film is quite easily a return to form after the terrible film that was Scream 3 this is still not the franchise at it's best either. As while it does have all of the iconography there it feels like the makers of this film forgot what it was that made the Scream films work in the first place with it being clear that some fresh blood was needed to keep this franchise alive and well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now the i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very revie and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girl and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page actually has images from this film really are up and on the official Scream fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Scream 2022 Film A Short Review

Interms of horror franchises Scream is the one that not only has the least amount of installments but is also the only one where they spoof a common trend in not only horror itself but also Hollywood as well. With the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today being no exception to that rule as it spoofs legacy sequels and so then join me as I review the film that dares to actually kill off a member of the original cast with the film in question being called simply just "Scream" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after her sister is attacked and left for dead Sam returns to Woodsboro just as a new set of Ghostface killings begin. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good as while yes it does seem like a straight forward remake of the first film the film does add enough new elements yo its plot to make what was becoming a very tired and warn out plot seem fresh and new again with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. Also starring in this film is Melissa Barrera as Sam Carpenter , Jack Quaid as Richie Kirsch , Mikey Madison as Amber Freeman , Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter , Dylan Minnette as Wes Hicks , Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin , Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin , Sonia Ammar as Liv McKenzie , Marley Shelton as Judy Hicks , Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis , Kyle Gallner as Vince Schneider , Heather Matarazzo as Martha Meeks and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good which is something that really isn't all that surprising as this franchise from the films point of view that is gas also had directors who really do know how to get a good performance out of there actors which is also true for this film as both Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett really do know how to get some really good performances out of there actors with it also being helped by the fact that pretty much all of this films actors are a bunch of really good actors in there own right as well with the acting that's in this very film also being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors really have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film

As was stated at the start of this review but this is the film that actually dares to kill of one of the original trio. Which in this case was Dewey which was something that worked as it subverts your expectations as you go into this film thinking that all of the original characters are going to make out of the film alive and well which makes it all the more shocking when he does get killed off in quite a brutal scene with his death now making it possible for all of the other original main characters to be killed off something that all of the other sequels refused to do and that one little thing now makes us the audience scared for the rest of the legacy characters since if Dewey can be killed off then maybe Sidney can be killed off as well or maybe perhaps Gale can be killed off as well.

Something that I noticed during this most recent viewing of the film. Is the fact that both this film and Star Wars: The Force Awakens have alot in common as they are not only both essentially remakes of there respective franchises first entry but they also both bring characters from the previous films they also both have a new character that's somehow tied into the original villain and they both have a legacy character killed off as well but where there different from each other is in the fact that this film knows that it's basically a remake of the first Scream and so it had fun with that by not only mentioning the fact that the events of this film happened back in the original but also straight up renaking and then putting new spins on classic scenes as well all if which go along way into proving that the makers of this film really were fans of the franchise as a whole something that quite clearly isn't the case with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Where this film does start to somewhat faulter is in the fact that it's main mystery isn't a good one. As the film really doesn't give you enough clues for us the audience to work out for ourselves who the killer or in this killers are something that alot of the films do quite well rhus making them great for repeat viewing and that is something that this film fails to do as apart from one scene with Ritchie watching a video of Stab 8 there's nothing in this film that hints at him being a Stab fan let alone one of the killers with the same thing also being true for Amber as well who for alot of the films running time is presented as someone who really doesn't like horror films all that much and yet it's revealed that she's a big Stab fan which both of which are things that don't make sense within the context of the film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty four minuets and eighteen seconds. Which is a solid running time for this as the film really does the right amount of plot to really cover that amount of running time with it being helped by the fact that all of the previous films also have very similar running times as well with this film really taking as full advantage of it's running time by really taking the time to fully flesh out the new characters so that we the audience actually care for them and want to see them make it out of the film alive and well with the films plot also being as fully fleshed out as it really could have been given just how basic the plot of the film is but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about all of the kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as there are only so many times that you cam see someone getting stabbed before it starts to get dull and boring which due to over the top the kills doesn't happen in this film with all of this films kills being really shocking to see due to how over the top that they get with the best kill in the film quite easily being the death of Dewey just because of the fact that we've spent four films with him and so his death will always be the best kill in the film due the emotional attachment that comes with his kill in my freaking opinions anyways / at least

Overall this film came at the right time as it proved that there really was still some life in this franchise something which was proven again with the release of Scream VI the following year with both films proving that this franchise really is the little franchise that could in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then interms of where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page really simply because Google Images actually really has images from this film really are up and on the official Scream fandom wiki page and really plus pretty much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Scream 3 Film Review

The Scream franchise is one that's seen a resurgence in popularity over the last few years with there being really good sequels and a seventh one starting filming next year. However people do infact seem to forget that there was a dark time in the Scream franchises ling history one which indeed started with the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today and so then join me as I review the film that gave Courteney Cox the worst haircut in the franchises history with the film in question being called simply just "Scream 3" enjoy.

The plot of this film i when the cast of the fictional Stab 3 start being killed off in the order that there killed of in the movie it's up to Gale , Dewey and Sidney to find out who this latest killer is and put a wrap on their movie once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time the plot of this film wasn't all that good as it's quite clear as day that the Scream formular was starting to wear a bit thin at this point as the film was doing nothing new with the franchise and with it's characters either but at the same time tho when a formular that's this good works there's really no need to change it as it will always work all you need to is find ways to keep it fresh , unique and different and that's something that this films plot both does and doesn't do as by shifting the setting to Hollywood it does allow the plot of the film to really make a dig at horror movies and how they were and still are looked at in the eyes of many people but at the same time tho by shifting the setting to Hollywood the plot losses it's small town nature that was all over the first two films with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox Arquette as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Patrick Dempsey as Mark Kincaid , Scott Foley as Roman Bridger , Lance Henriksen as John Milton , Matt Keeslar as Tom Prinze , Jenny McCarthy as Sarah Darling , Emily Mortimer as Angelina Tyler , Parker Posey as Jennifer Jolie , Deon Richmond as Tyson Fox , Liev Schreiber as Cotton Weary , Kelly Rutherford as Christine Hamilton , Patrick Warburton as Steven Stone , Lynn McRee as Maureen Prescott , Josh Pais as Wallace , Heather Matarazzo as Martha Meeks , Jamie Kennedy as Randy Meeks , Jason Mewes as Jay , Kevin Smith as Silent Bob , Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher as Bianca Burnette and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well the in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films actors really turning in some really good performances in this very film which for those actors that are returning actors does make alot of sense as they would know how best to perform there character in any given situation and how there character would act in any given situation but the same thing is also true for the films newer actors as well as they all more then really hold up their own when it comes to acting against the films franchise stars with this films acting not only really being helped by the fact that this actors are a bunch of really good actors in their right but it's also due to the fact that this films director Wes Craven proving to be a director that really does know how to get a really good performance out of his actors even if the script that he's given to work with really isn't all that good and up to snuff with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script really isn't all that good as it doesn't really give this films anything to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place and that really is something that really does help to lower down the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

One of the biggest things about watching any Scream film is seeing which celebrity gets killed off in the films cold open. With this films big celebrity killing being one of the weakest ones in the series just because of the fact that actor Liev Schreiber wasn't really that well known outside of starring in the Scream films where as with both Drew Barrymore and Jada Pinkett Smith were at the very least somewhat more well known when they did the first and second Scream film respectively but the one thing that this films big opening kill does have going for it is the fact that we audience have had two films to really get to know Cotton as a character and as a result of that is the fact that having him be the one that gets killed does work in that regard and is still shocking to see because of the fact that we've had alot of time to really get to know him as a character but at the same time tho these films are known for having a major name be the one that gets killed of and that's something that Liev Schreiber just wasn't at that time and as a result of that is the fact that it would have been better if the film got someone like Johnny Depp who not only was a big make at the time but had worked with Wes Craven in the past or someone who is a bigger name then Liev Schreiber be the one that gets killed off really would have worked a whole lot better.

While this film does have the one killer it was originally going to follow the tradition set by the previous films and have two killers. With it being revelled that Angelina Tyler was infact secretly working with Roman and was going to be an old classmate of Sidney's from when she was in high school but due to the columbine shooting that got scrapped right away but it is something that does leave a plot hole in the movie as now Roman apparently has the ability the teleport all over the house it was also rumoured that Detective Wallace was also going to be one the killers at one point as well but with Angelina it was going to be explained some of her odd behaviour during the film and it was going to explain why her body isn't seen by anyone in the house after she gets killed as she would have been of healing herself up and getting rid for the next kill this is also something that would also explain why Tyson couldn't find her when they both went into the bedroom as she would have been getting changed into the Ghostface costume something that Sidney openly caught her doing earlier on in the film but because of the fact that it was removed from the script she now comes across as acting odd just for the sake of acting odd it also thanks to the columbine shooting that Matthew Lillard got cut from the script as it was going to be revelled that Stu had survived the first film was either the one or one of the killers in this film as well.

This film is filled to the brim with cameos some of which are fun to see like Carrie Fisher showing up as a character who looks like Carrie Fisher is a good and funny idea. However we also have the Jay And Silent Bob cameo which does now officially place in the View Askewniverse which is a cinematic universe in which the Jay and Silent Bob characters appear in every single film with there inclusion in this film being very distracting due to the fact that they are some very well known characters and when you add in the fact that in there movie Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back we see the fictional filming of Scream 4 it does make you wonder why they bothered to include those characters in this film as there both real people and now not real people which makes it very confusing with there cameo in this film being the worst one as it feels like the film is stopping the plot to make room for them where as with all of the other cameos in this film they at least contribute something no matter how small it is to the actual plot of the film with Carrie Fisher's character being the one that gives Gale the picture of Sidney's mom from when she tried to make it as a film star and Roger Corman's character being the one to tell Roman that his film is in trouble due to the events of the film where as with Jay And Silent Bon they add nothing to the plot of the film and are only there because they were popular back when this film was being released and that's really it.

As for the new characters in this film they are the ones that really do suffer from this films bad script as all of them are written as one dimensional characters. With there not really being anything that makes them stand out from the previous supporting characters in the previous films which might be the point as this is something that the film does comment on with Tyson's Stab 3 character being called Ricky as they called of Randy in the previous film but at the same time just because you comment on something doesn't give you the right to do the very thing that your criticizing the fictional film for doing as Jennifer is quite literally a more lazy version of Gale who even has her own version of Dewey in Steven Stone and even Angelina could be seen as being a more odd version of Sidney and all this does is make us the audience forget about the newer character as all they do is make you remember of the main characters from the previous two films who do come off really well but this is due to the fact that there personalities were all really set in stone in the previous two films with the newly created characters having nothing to them that makes them standout and that makes you want to see them make it out of the film with this not really being helped by the fact that alot of this films newer characters are also really forgettable as well with the two exceptions for this being Jennifer and  Mark Kincaid and that's really it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty six minuets and thirty three seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running tie for these films to have and to this films credit this film really does have the right amount of plot there to really cover that really large amount of running time but at the same time none of this films running time is spent of giving us clues so that we can actually work out who the killer is something that the previous two films did really well nor is spent in developing it's characters t the point where you want to see them come out of the film alive with the film instead spending alot of time in showing us how a film is made and by giving us some backstory Maureen Prescott and while we don;t need to see how a film is made and the politics that are involved in the day to day making of a film the stuff surrounding Maureen's backstory is the stuff that really should have been in the film with the stuff showing us how a film is made being either cut down to the point where the film can include clues as to who the killer of this film is or cut out all together as it is some really pointless stuff that adds nothing to the overall plot of the film and thus feels alot like padding when the film really doesn't need padding out at all but I really will admit that this film really does gave some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally tought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in actually not that bad. However at the same time tho the kills that are in this film aren't that good either as the film did have to toned alot thanks to columbine shooting but at the same time tho alot of this films kills just aren't that creative to look at with alot of them just coming across as being lame and boring to watch but when the film does indeed to a really good kill like for example Sarah's kill which is a really tense scene to watch then it is a really good kill with the same thing also being said for Cotton's kill at the start of the film his kill being all the more impactful because of the fact that we've had two films to get to know him as a characters but the very fact that this films has more bad kills then it does good kills really tell you that the makers of this film should have come up with some really fun , fresh and creative to kills to send this franchise of on a high note as this film was intended to be the final film in the franchise and yet it's clear as day that next to no effort was out into giving the films that kind of kills that it really should have had and that is something that really does let this film down in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall it's not hard to see why this film is the worst film in the franchise as it's clear to see that none of the key creative people involved with making this film new how to make the films script come across as being passable at best with this film being bad but bad in an entertaining kind of way as well but this film is still a really bad film and a really Scream film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i;'ve talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally sued in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page really simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page actually really has images from this film really are up and on the official Scream fandom wiki page and really plus pretty much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Scream 2022 Film Review

Scream fans last year the Scream franchise made a big comeback with a film that nobody knew that they both wanted or needed. While it would have been super easy for me to make this film review a tie in review for the upcoming Scream 6 I thought that since it's been well over a year since the release of Scream 5 that now would be the right time to give it a proper review now that we've all had alot of time to let the film sit with us for awhile and so then join me as I review the film that really did very successfully resurrect a dead franchise with the film in question being called simply just "Scream" enjoy.

The plot of this film is twenty five years after the first Scream movie a new set of killings start happening in the town of Woodsboro and it's up to a new group of friends to find out who this killer is before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being refreshingly good and being a breath of fresh air for this franchise in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Melissa Barrera as Samantha Carpenter , Wednesday star Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter , Jack Quaid as Richie Kirsch , Dylan Minnette as Wes Hicks , Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin , Kyle Gallner as Vince Schneider , Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin , Sonia Ben Ammar as Liv McKenzie , Mikey Madison as Amber Freeman , Heather Matarazzo as Martha Meeks , Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis and Roger L.

With this films acting rather rightfully getting alot of praise from both critics and fans alike and it;s really earned since all of this films cast members turn in some really good performances in this very film.

This film is all about subverting expectations since from the opening scene we see scenes and tropes that have been in the previous Scream movies and here they play out differently. Heck even the fact that this film kills of one of the main legacy characters is subverting peoples expectations since we always go into one of these Scream films knowing that Sidney , Gale and Dewey are going to make it out of the film alive and OK and so when Dewey gets killed of in this film it not only subverts your expectations because now it makes you think that if Dewey could die the maybe the other legacy characters can now die as well.

How this film handles it's legacy characters to me proves that this film was made by fans of the Scream franchise. Since all of the legacy characters in this film act like you'd expect there character to act and the same thing even goes for Billy who despite being killed of in the first movie is still just as bone chilling as ever and even tho I don;t really like that in this film he's kind of portrayed as being an anti hero it is still great to see this character back and the CGI on the character does look rather really good as well.

Speaking of Billy Loomis I really don't like that they brought this character back since to me this franchise has been very realistic. As such having Billy Loomis appear in a very supernatural kind of way takes away from that realism which is a shame because he really does get some good scenes but I feel that the film would have been overall better of if that character wasn't included in the finished film just so that little bit of realism could still be maintained and plus you'd then get the mystery of who Sam's real father even was in the first place so it would have been a win win situation.

To me this film relies a little bit two much on nostalgia for the first film which does work both for and against the film. Since it means that we get alot of great scenes between the characters but it also works against in that it means that you have to have to watched the first film in order to order to understand what;s gong on in this film and as such that means that alot of this films feels alot more like homework which is a shame because when thew film does make a reference or a joke about the previous films it usually adds something to the plot of this film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty four minuets and eighteen seconds. Which I will admit is a tad bit on the long side for this film to last even more when you take into account that this film doesn't put that much focus on the actual mystery aspect of the film which is weird because with this added time that is something that the film could have done and still have told a really well done and a really well thought story but for some reason they just don't and as such the film oddly feels a little bit longer then what it actually is.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films kills not only being rather intense and actually scary but this films films are also really cool and are really very gory to look at as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of all of the Scream sequels this one is quite easily better then Scream 3 and is one par with Scream 2 for me that's not a knock against this film it;s just that I love that film so much and so being on par with Scream 2 is for me a good thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as sch that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page  actually has images from this film up on the official Scream fandom wiki page and pus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always do with our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams.
