American Horror Story: Coven "B****craft" Review

While anthology series were quite popular back in the sixties by the time that they got to the nineties the formular was all but dead and buried. That was until American Horror Story came along and shook things up by not having a different story every episode but by having a different story every single series which does make it a great series for people who only want to dip in and out of the series as they can just pick a series that they want to watch and just watch that particualr series of the show and so then join me as I review that sees the series start to tackle witchcraft with the episode in question being called simply just "B****craft" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is a young girl discovers that she's a witch and is sent to a boarding school to help to control her powers. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then n all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the problem as the plot of this episode wasn't all that good either with the plot of the episode not really setting up what the main plot of this series was even going to be and as a result of that is the fact that the main plot of the episode really does come across as being really a bit on the weak with the plot itself really just coming and going as and when it chooses and not really doing anything to help to keep your attention with the plot of the episode not really being really rather entertaining and nor was it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Sarah Paulson as Cordelia Goode , Taissa Farmiga as Zoe Benson and Frances Conroy as Myrtle Snow. Also starring in this episode is Evan Peters as Kyle Spencer , Lily Rabe as Misty Day , Denis O'Hare as Spalding , Kathy Bates as Madame Delphine LaLaurie , Jessica Lange as Fiona Goode Emma Roberts as Madison Montgomery , Angela Bassett as Marie Laveau , Gabourey Sidibe as Queenie , Jamie Brewer as Nan , Grey Damon as Archie , Ian Anthony Dale as Dr. David Zhong , Ameer Baraka as Bastien , Raeden Greer as Pauline LaLaurie , Arabella Field as Nora Benson , Scott Michael Jefferson as Louis LaLaurie , Kurt Krause as Charles Taylor , Ashlynn Ross as Marie Louise Jeanne LaLaurie and Jennifer Lynn Warren as Borquita Lopez.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of the episodes casts members turning in some really good performances even Emma Roberts who is basically playing the exact same type of character that she always played around this time period turns in a really good performance with a special shout out going to Kathy Bates who to put it bluntly is just phenomenal Madame Delphine LaLaurie with the character going from extremely likable and someone that you want to be around to the most vile person on this planet that you can't stand to be around at the drop of a hate with the acting in this episode really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all this episodes cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which really does help the overall quality of the acing in this episode.

Doing the CGI for this episode is FuseFX and the legends and the greats that are currently over at Spectrum Effects. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good as it's a case where they had to use CGI as the makers of this show aren't going to really flip a coach infront of two of your main stars just due to the amount of things that could go wrong and as a result of that is the fact that they had to use CGI in that with the effect itself looking really good with it being helped by the fact that alot of the scene is in the dark and as a result of that s the fact that the issues with the effect can't be seen that clearly with the effect itself having aged wonderfully well over ten years later.

This episode does a good job with getting it's historical scenes right as people both act and look like they would do when those flashback scenes are being set. With the Kathy Bates character being this rich snobbish type of person who is willing to do anything to get her unmarried daughters married of to wealthy men which is something that someone like her character would do and yet when one of her daughters goes against that it ends up badly for them which again is true to life only in this episode it's taken to the extreme as this is a horror show and as a result of that is the fact that makers of this show can take those measures to the extreme with the episode even doing the same thing with it's more racist elements of the Kathy Bates character as we see just how badly that she treats any of the colored people that she doesn't like go against her even in a small way and it's something that really does work in this episode as it feels very true not only to her character but also to the world that this show is being sit in as well.

One of the things that this episode doesn't do all that well is the fact that it doesn't really develop alot of it's characters. Which does make alot of sense as this is only first episode however this episode really doesn't give the characters alot of flaws either with the best example of this being the Zoe Benson who in this episode is presented as someone who is perfect person who gets very little to anything wrong and that only leaves her with one place to go and that's down while that shouldn't be the case as the episode does give her a solid starting point by having her mother force her to go to this school that she doesn't want to go to and yet the episode does nothing with the idea as it doesn't inform who the character is and is there just to give us a small bit of drama that doesn't even get mentioned after it happens at the start of the episode while there are other characters who do start of with flaws but then given dimension as the episode goes on like with Emma Roberts character who starts of as the stereotypical mean girl but then as the episode goes on alot more of her gets revealed and then she goes through something very dramatic at the end of the episode which makes us the audience feel really sorry for her and yet with Zoe Benson we don't feel anything for her character come the end of the episode.

To give this episode alot of credit it does try to experiment with it's camera angles by making use of fish eye type of camera angle that looks really good. This kind of off putting angle does work in this show for the most part as this is a horror TV show and as a result of that is the fact that the show should be very off putting due to it's genre however while the episode does get praise for using this angle it doesn't get praise for not using it during there episodes more creepier which would have made those scenes alot more effective then what they already as alot of the scenes that use this fish eye angle aren't scenes where anything creepy is going on as alot of the time there just scenes with people walking in the school and that's really it which adds nothing to the scene as alot of those scenes should be filmed like a typical show with no fancy new camera angles as that would give the audience a sense of safety and yet they should only use the fish eye angle when something creepy is either happening or is about to happen as it does create a subtle sense of unease something which would work really well in what is quite literally a horror TV show.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty eight minuets and thirty three seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running tie for this show to have and to this episodes credit it really does take full advantage of that running as the episode has more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time and to this episodes credit it does take it's time setting things up as that does allow the episode to start to set up it's characters and to set up things that might pay off later on in the show but at the same time tho the episode could have used some of it's running time to start to flesh out it's characters just a little bit more as apart from the Emma Roberts character alot of the characters in this episode aren't as fully fleshed out which does make sense in some respects but at the same time tho it does leave us with alot of very one dimensional characters but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this a horror show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. Which is due to the fact that the episode really does take alot of time to create a sense of unease thanks to the fish eye lens camera angle but it also due to the fact that alot of the scares are really well acted which makes them feel alot more believable then what they would have been otherwise but at the same time tho the episode really doesn't go all the way with it's witches theme as it only has the witches use there powers in a deadly twice near the end of the episode and while that does make it clear who the good guys are and who the bad guys are it doesn't really work for a horror show as nothing all that scary happens when they do eventually use there powers in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a really solid episode but at the same time tho it's an episode that does have alot of faults and it's one that could have been alot better then what it actually was as the episode as it is is watchable and is a good episode but it's one that could've been better to hook more people in and get them to watch episode two of this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally used in this very review from the official American Horror Story fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this episode being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this episode up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Abigail 2024 Film Review

Remakes and reboots are very sadly an all to common occurrence with there being plenty of remakes , sequels and reboots coming out in just this very year alone. Yet what makes the film that i'm about to review for you all today stand out from alot of them is the fact that this film does something new and different with the film that it's rebooting and because of that it comes across as being fresh mew and different and so then join me as I review the film that sees the team behind the last two Scream films reunite with one of the stars from the last two Scream films with the film in question being called simply just "Abigail" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a group of thiefs kidnap a young girl in the hopes of getting money from her rich father they soon discover that there's something evil larking within the girl something which they will fight of their lives against. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as while yes the plot of the film is strikingly similar to that of Don't Breathe it does something new with the plot which does make it feel different altho the plot of this film wasn't as gripping as the plot of Late Night With The Devil was as the plot of that film had you hooked from the first minuet of the film where as it's the opposite that's true for this film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Scream 2022 and Scream VI star Melissa Barrera as Joey and Dan Stevens as Frank. Also starring in this film is Matilda The Musical star Alisha Weir as Abigail , Will Catlett as Rickles , Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania star Kathryn Newton as Sammy , Kevin Durand as Peter , Angus Cloud as Dean , Giancarlo Esposito as Lambert and Downton Abbey star Matthew Goode as Abigail's Father.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in ll honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which is something that shouldn't come as surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as alot of this films cast have turned in some really good performances even in there bad movies there always good in them with the fact that this films directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett really knowing how to get a good performance out of all of their cast members something which they've proven to be true time and time again with the acting in this film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of all naturally with this being something that really does raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

While this film is very much a vampire film the core idea of having the tables turned on the thiefs does make this film also feel alot more like Don't Breathe then it does a vampire film. With the film straight up copying the ore concept of Don't Breathe but also doing enough new things with it to make it feel new again when it really isn't and while Late Night With The Devil does get alot of love for being an original film that has it's own unique ideas this one doesn't have that going for it as it uses an idea from another film but it swaps out the blind man character with a vampire heck even one of the characters has a young relative that they have to look after but while the core idea is straight up from Don't Breathe it's what the films adds to that that makes it feel new all other again like the fact that now there's kind of a mob war going on and the fact that the person that there dealing with is a vampire yes there small things but there small things that add up to much more bigger thing that being the fact that the lead vampire is a possibly ten year old girl.

For those of you that don't know this film is very loose reimagining or reboot of the 1936 Dracula's Daughter. With the film not really having anything that makes it like the previous film apart from the fact that the main character is a vampire and that's really it which might be the smartest way for them to relaunch alot of this very unknown Universal classic as let's be real very little people would even have heard of Dracula's Daughter in the first film let alone seen it and as a result of that is the fact that nobody would turn out for a remake or sequel to it but if you were to do the film differently like they do here and put your own spin on it then you might be able to get away with it as the audience won't know the difference and who ever is making the film could then just do whatever it is that they want to do and do whatever it is that makes them a good director in the first place and not be beholden to what happened in the original film thus allowing your film to stand out more.

While the film Renfield proved that vampires can be funny and that it's possible to make a vampire movie that's both funny and scary. This film despite having directors who on there commentary tracks for there films can be funny here just don't make anything that's funny this is despite the fact that the films being billed as a horror comedy and yet it's really lacking in the actual comedy aspect of it and while yes we do get some darkly comedic funny moments in this film those are very few and far between with the film having alot more unfunny moments that just feel awkward and not needed then it does have some actually funny moments and as a result of that is the fact that we have a film that puts alot more focus on it's horror aspect then it does comedy aspect when both aspects of the film should have been treated equally and not have one being favored over the other much like what Shaun Of The Dead did where they balanced the absurd nature of that film and still gave us some really good and heartfelt scares and while this film has the scares going for it it still needs to the comedy aspect going for it and that's something that t really is lacking in.

What this film does have working in it's favor is the fact that it has some genuinely likable characters that you want to see survive until the end of the film. With even Abigail herself coming across as being a really likable character when she needs to be and being just straight up evil when she needs to to be this only makes the acting from young actress Alisha Weir all the more impressive as she has to go from extremely likable to unlikable at several points in the film and it could be argued that it's also true for Melissa Barrera's character as well as at time her character could also be seen as both likable and really unlikable as well but when the characters are meant to be really unlikable us the audience are really behind them and we want to see them succeed even when everything goes wrong and yet even when there acting really unlikable due to the reasons that they all give for them acting the way that they act they all still seem like really likable characters who have been put in a bad place and are just doing what they thing is the right thing to do at that point in time.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour ad forty four seconds and thirty two seconds. Which is a really solid running time for this film to have as the film really does have more then enough plot to cover that large amount of running time but at the same time tho there are alot of scenes in this films that don't add up to anything in the grand scheme of things and would therefor thus come across as being filler scenes when this film doesn't need padding out at all as the story itself is strong enough to carry the film with out adding anything to it but at the same time tho it's in alot of those pointless scenes that we get to see alot of those cool moments from the films trailer and that do give us alot of cool moments in this film but just because they give us a cool moment doesn't mean that there needed for this film as the film as the whole has to always come first and not just having cool moments for the sake of having cool moments but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really cool. With this film having alot of really cool kills which is where this films directors really do excel as as we know from their previous two films we know that they are capable of giving us some really cool kills and that's exactly what we get here and while in the Scream films you bound to it being done by a human here that's not an issue and as a result you can do alot more really cool kills that are just fun to watch and that's exactly what we get in this film as all of this films kills are not only cool looking kills but are also just fun kills to really watch to watch as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of the two Late Night With The Devil is the better of the two films as that films does have a fully engaging plot and really likable characters and while this film also has some really likable characters but it also doesn't have a fully engaging plot as well with both films having some really good kills in them both as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very review ell then boys and girls and as well as ladies ad gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this episode up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Late Night With The Devil Film Review

As with every single genre of film out there horror goes through periods where we only get remakes and sequels and while yes these are still being produced. Right now we are seeing alot more horror stories that are telling original stories and guess what nine times out of ten they turn out to be really good movies with the latest example of this film having only just been released and so then join as I review the film that might very well be one of if not the best horror film of the year thus far with the film in question being called simply just "Late Night With The Devil" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a TV talk show in the seventies puts on the latest episode of his award winning TV show only this time he plans something that might finally give him the number one ratings spot. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good as it was a plot that really hasn't been seen before as while other studios have done found footage films before none of them have been done in the way that this film does it and because of that the films plot comes across as being even more fresh and different and in a world where films are being bogged down by bad sequels and even worse remakes we really do need a plot that's fresh , new and different with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is David Dastmalchian as Jack Delroy , Laura Gordon as June Ross-Mitchell and Ian Bliss as Carmichael Haig. Also starring in this film is Fayssal Bazzi as Christou , Ingrid Torelli as Lilly , Rhys Auteri as Gus McConnell , Georgina Haig as Madeleine Piper , Josh Quong Tart as Leo Fiske , Steve Mouzakis as Szandor D'Abo , Paula Arundell as Diane , Christopher Kirby as Phil , John O'May as Walker Bedford , Starship Troopers star Michael Ironside as The Narrator and Nicole Chapman as Cleo James.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually feature / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what it really had any right to be. As on paper this film really didn't need any good acting in it and yet that's exactly what we got as all of this films actors turn in some really good performances with all of the cast of this film being just on top form in this film as they all have to play there characters but play them in a talk show format and still do it in a way that makes the characters feel alot more believable then what they usually would have done as that's just how good the acting in this film really is with the acting in this film really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so good that all this films cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written  and a good performance will come out of them naturally.

To be frank this film has alot of really likable character in it with the best example of this being the Jack Delroy character. With alot of this film coming across as being rather likable even the ones that your meant to hate have some likability factor to them with the best example of this being the character of Carmichael Haig who is a really unlikable character but even then the character does have some good points as well as even the character is meant to be a skeptic he does start to come round to what's going on with the backstory of what makes him a skeptic being somewhat understandable as he was a magician and so is used to lying to people which does make it understandable when he says that certain guests are doing whatever it is that there on the show to do and while the character could also be seen as a villain due to how he acts in certain bits of the film he could also be seen as a real person as real people can be both likable and really unlikable in certain lights.

The very idea for this film is a really good and solid idea as it's one that really hasn't been done before now. With the film really doing something new and different with the found footage idea by kind of presenting the film as a documentary with the main bulk of the film being made up of scenes from the actual episode in question while most found footage films will just have the footage appear out of nowhere here as we don't really get to see who finds the footage we can just assume that it comes from the documentary crew which is something that does make sense with even the idea of having a horror film set within the confides of a late night talk show being a really good as well as it does give us a new and unique looking setting that makes it standout from all of the other found footage horror films out there and it also gives the film it's own unique hook as the it really does look and feel like a talk show from the seventies.

While there are alot of positives to be found in this film there are some negatives to be found in this film as well. Like the fact that the film really does take it's time getting going with alot of the film being spent just with the characters talking to each other which does have the add on effect of making the film feel alot more boring then what it actually is and the film spends a long time on giving us a backstory for the main character which does make sense for the fictional documentary but it doesn't make sense for the film as while alot of what is said about the characters backstory does come back into play by the films third act it's also something that really does feel alot like padding with alot of what they say about the character being something that really didn't need to be said as they mention it several times all throughout the film which just makes those scenes feel alot like padding when it really doesn't need to be padded out at all and as a result of that is the fact that the film does come across as being a bit hard to si through alot of the time.

This film is one of many films to have gotten praise by Stephen King which is something that has lost it's shine as he does it all of the time. However here it is something that is earned as this film really is just all that good as it captures your attention right away and it keeps you hooked right until the films amazing third act twist which is something that does make you wonder if the character in question was truly insane or not and yet at the same time it gives you a reason to re-watch the film as now we the audience have to see when each of the films characters really do die and if what we're seeing for the vast majority of the film is actually happening or not and while the film does have some faults with it like for example the fact that it doesn't go as far as it really should've done with the late night talk show format or the fact that the film does get confusing near the end this is a case where the good might just outweigh the bad.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and forty seven seconds. Which is a really solid running time for this film to have as the film really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of time and while the film does have alot there interms of plot the films first two or so minuets are just spent on the opening logo's while they should have been spent on getting the plot of the film fully set up this is even more of an issue when you take into account that the plot of the film is a slow burner that takes a good forty or so minuets to really get going which does work both for ad against the film it works for the film as it gives the films characters a chance to really grow on us the audience and it works against the film as the film has a short amount of running and as a result of that is the fact that the plot needs to be advanced in alot of scenes but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the kills in this film being both creepy and inventive as the film does take full advantage of it's supernatural aspect when it comes to it's kills which does make all of the kills in this film really stand out as does the fact that all of this film were done practically which will always look better then having them done in CGI and while yes there is some CGI in this film it's only used to do things that you couldn't possibly do in live action and that does include some of this films kills as well with alot of the films kills being the true highlight of the film due to the fact that alot of them felt really earned and weren't there just because the studio demanded that a character get killed of at that partiicular point in the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is so far the best horror film to have been released this is year as it really is just that good of a film and while it won't have something for everybody for those that do like it would have found something that's truly new , different and really unique as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards .

The First Omen Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

We seem to now be living in an age where every single classic horror franchise is really for better or for worse getting a new cinematic installment. With the recent franchise to be brought back to the big screen being oddly enough enough The Omen a franchise that really nobody has talked about for decades at this point and yet for some really strange reason a prequel film for this franchise has just been released and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that borrows a plot from another really recently released horror film with the film in question being called simply just "The First Omen" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a young woman goes to Rome to become a Nun where she becomes involved in a scheme to bring back the Antichrist. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With the biggest issue that this film has plot wise is the fact that it's pretty much a carbon copy of the plot of Immaculate with nothing being added to the plot to make it stand out and while yes this could very well be a coincidence it's to much of a coincidence for it be exactly that with this films take on the plot not really being all that new and different with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Nell Tiger Free as Margaret Daino , Sônia Braga as Sister Silvia and Ralph Ineson as Father Brennan. Also starring in this film is Bill Nighy as Cardinal Lawrence , Tawfeek Barhom as Father Gabriel , Maria Caballero as Luz Valez , Nicole Sorace as Carlita Skianna , Ishtar Currie Wilson as Sister Anjelica , Andrea Arcangeli as Paolo and Game Of Thrones star Charles Dance as Father Harris.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films cast members turning in some really good performances while the films more well known cast members do indeed turn in some really good performances what lets the film down from an acting standpoint is the fact that alot of the films more lesser known cast members don't turn in that good of a performance with alot of them turning in what can only be described as wooden at best performances especially when compared to the more well known cast members this isn't to say that all of the films cast members turn in a good performances as that's not the case with Nicole Sorace turning in a really good performance but what does let the acting down is the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of the films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to the in the first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting in this film.

This film does do something that not alot of modern films try to do and that's give us some actually likable characters. With nearly all of the characters that your supposed to like in this film being really likable with the same thing also being true for the films villains as they all comes across as being likable characters which makes it all the more shocking when the films villains are revealed as we the audience have been given the chance to really like these characters and want to see them succeed and yet when it's reveled who the films main villains are it really is truly shocking to see and it goes to show you that the makers of this film really do know how to make good characters as alot of this films characters do have flaws to overcome and while alot of this films characters aren't that memorable they are characters that have the potential to be really strong characters in their own right but at the same time tho the characters in this film could have been handled alot more better then what they actually were in the final cut of the film.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

This film is of course a prequel to the film The Omen altho you wouldn't really know about it as aside from one character who appears not even a handful of times there's nothing to tie the films together at all. All of which makes it feel like that this film started life as something that was separate from the Omen franchise but then at some point during the films production it then became an Omen as while the film does give us a pointless original for Damian it neither looks like nor does it even feel like an Omen film as it adds nothing to the mythology of the the earlier films it's just there for the sake of being there and as a result of that the film really does feel like that it's disconnected to the The Omen films as there's really nothing to suggest that these two films are connected to each other in anyway shape or form which with this film being a prequel film that really should have happend even if alot of it just felt like fanservice and added nothing to the plot of this film it still would have been really better then nothing.

As a film this one really did feel like it wasn't needed like it was only made s that Twentieth Century Studios could keep the rights to the film. As really nobody has been talking about this franchise at least from a mainstream point of view for almost twenty years and heck nobody eve talked about the TV show that came out in 2016 as by that point in time the franchise was all but dead something which was very swiftly helped by the 2006 remake and yet for some strange reason the makers of this film chose to give this franchise a prequel film which is made even more pointless when you take into account the first film and as a result of that we already know that Damian is going to come out of the film alive and well as he's the main character of the franchise and as a result of that we already know exactly how this film will end and because of that is the fact that this film really does loose any suspense that the film could have had going into it.

To give this film some credit it does try to give us something new and different as even taking the shocking similarities with Immaculate out of it. This is film is vastly different plot wise from all of the the horror films that have been coming as this film is just content with doing it's thing and with giving us characters that we actually like and while the plot is a carbon copy of another film that doesn't stop this film being as shocking as the original film even if the films most shocking moment is just a straight up carbon copy of the most famous scene from the original film and the whole idea of the main protagonist actually getting something wrong as she believes that it's her friend who's going to give birth to the antichrist is a good idea and the film does the best that it can do with that idea but it could have doe so much more with that idea like they could have shown the friend in question dying due to all of the pressure that Margaret has unknowingly been putting her under that right there would have the characters more interesting and it really would have Margaret herself a more human like protagonist as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minuets and forty seconds. Which is a tad bit on the long side for this film to have as this film really doesn't have alot there inters of plot to really cover that large amount of running time as being realistic the film only has enough plot for around forty to forty five minuets and as a result of this we have over an hour of the film that is nothing but pure filler and it's that filler that really does drag the film down as we don't need to see alot of the scenes in the convent as alot of it is just repeating information that we already got from any of the previous scenes scenes which does make alot of those scenes feel very same like and very boring as a result of that as we're not being told anything new we're just getting the same old information and we're really just watching the characters go about there day to day lives and there's only so long that you can really see that before it gets boring and that it's something that happens really quite quickly in this film but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is horror film that means that we have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented too us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As alot of this films were really good to look at and were rightfully really creepy as well as alot of them just come out of nowhere the famous scene from the original where the Nanny hangs herself at Damien's birthday party being pretty much redone here in this film only now the nun also lights herself on fire which is a little touch but it's one that also makes the kill just as effective even if it's not as scary and that's the same thing with alot of the kills in this film as alot of the kills were really done but alot of them just lacked that extra special something that makes them scary as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this film while it is indeed a pointless film that really adds nothing to the franchise it is still a film that had all of the potential to be a really good film and if it was attached to a pre-existing franchise it would have been a better film as it wouldn't have all that love that really does come from being apart of a pre-existing franchise in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page , the official The Omen fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards .

Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2 Film SPOILER FREE Film Review

When the very idea of turning a beloved childrens character into a horror film goes viral and that films becomes a hit then there's only thing that you can do. That being to make a sequel out of it and hope to god that the same success happens this time and given that a third film has already been announced and that the first film is now retroactively the start of a brand new cinematic universe then you just know that the film are on to something and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FREE review that introduces both Owl and Tigger into the series with the film in question being called simply just "Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood And Honey 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film is one year after the events of the film Christopher Robin must face his friends again as Pooh and Piglet team up with Owl and Tigger to bring there twisted form of revenge on the unsuspecting town of Ashdown. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty no that bad as it was a step in quality from the plot of this film but at the same time tho this films plot wasn't all that good as it lacks a certain charm that the lot of the first film had in spades as the plot of this film does a very good job of being a self contained plot that is very entertaining in it's own right however tho it's still just a plot that felt like a rip off of the plot of Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends only done on a much smaller budget with the plot of this being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin , Tallulah Evans as Lexy and Ryan Oliva as Winnie-The-Pooh. Also starring in this film is Teresa Banham as Samantha , Alec Newman as Alan Robin , Nicola Wright as Daphne Robin , Thea Evans as Helen "Bunny" Robin , Flynn Matthews as Finn , Toby Wynn-Davies as Dr. Arthur Gallup , Simon Callow as Cavendish , Eddy MacKenzie as Piglet , Marcus Massey as Owl and Lewis Santer as Tigger.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured  / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's / actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what it had really any right to be. As nobody was expecting this film to have good acting in it infact alot of people would have been expecting to have some really rather bad acting in it and yet we actually got some really good acting in this film with all of the actors really delivering some really rather good performances in this very film with the acting in this film being alot better then the acting that we got in the first film and while the acting in this film is still bad it's still alot better then alot of other small time independent horror films out there with the acting in this film not really by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of the films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting in this film.

This film is now officially the second film of what's being called The Twisted Childhood Universe which is a new cinematic universe that's going to house a bunch of horror films based of off childrens classic characters all of which are leading to there first crossover film which is an Avengers style film called Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.Which just makes all of these bad films both somehow good and yet worse at the exact same time as now we get to see not one but multiple films all fail at the exact same time and we get to see just how this bad cinematic universe could quite possibly fail but at the exact same time tho the very idea of giving all of these weird and strange horror films there own cinematic universe is just so weird that it might just work and while they will never be able to compete with the DC Cinematic Universe or even the Marvel Cinematic Universe it is still interesting to see just how this quite possible cinematic universe could quite possibly take place.

Rather rightfully this film has a much more bigger budget then that of the first film with the first film having a budget of $50,000. With this film having a budget of $533.144 dollars and to this films credit it really does show as not only do both Pooh and Piglet get redesigns that make them look ten times better then how they looked in the previous film but the film now also has more budget to do things like having explosions and creating new characters like Owl and Tigger both of whom do look really good with the best looking out of those two being Owl who just looks really creepy but with that being said tho the previous film has a certain charm to it due to how small that it's budget is as the previous film looked like a film that a group of friends would make where as this film looks like a film that a bunch of soulless people would make both are good yes but there has to be a way to have the charm and cheapness of the first film whilst also having the budget of this film.

For some reason the film does something that's really rather stupid to the backstory of these characters which just doesn't work at all. As it then forces you to question the events of not only the previous film but also the backstory that both films give us and when you do that you'll find that the add on that's in this film just doesn't add up as there's no way that it could have happened without making one of the films characters look really dumb in the process and while fixing continuity is a frequent thing in films as alot of films do go back and either retcon certain things or also add things that change certain things in the continuity however none of those things ever effect what came before nor do they go against what came before where as with this film it goes against everything that was set up in the previous film that it makes it hard to work out or even care about the canon and lore of this universe as it could get changed in a future film.

The very idea of the characters attacking the town that Christopher Robin lives in is a really good idea and it's one that works in this film. However at the same time due to the films still small budget alot of it just can't be as fully realized as it really should have been with there being quite alot of kills that happen of screen and alot of things that are all shot in the dark which makes all of the films sets look exactly the same alot of which would have been fixed if the film had a more larger budget so that we could see alot of the cooler stuff and so that we could see alot of the films sets and when we do get to see alot of the cool stuff in this film it is something that is really cool that makes the whole idea work really well with the idea being helped by the fact that alot of the characters from the Winnie The Pooh books do feel alot more in character then what they did in the previous film with Owl being the smart one of the group with him coming up with alot of the groups plans which works because that's in his character to act like that.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour ad twenty eight minuets and thirty six seconds. Which is the absolutely perfect running time for a film like this one to have as this kind of film really doesn't have alot of plot to really cover a much more longer running time with this running pretty much the bog standard for these films as well and while the film could have been better if it had a much more longer running time as it would have allowed to see more of how people reacted to Christopher Robin after the events of the first film as that was a really interesting idea at the same time tho by doing that it would be stretching the films plot even thinner then what it already is with the plot then being stretched beyond breaking point however if the film was longer it would also allow for the films characters to become more fully developed then what they already are but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what they really had any right to be. As the kills in the first film weren't that good but good for what little money that they had to make the film and with this films getting a biggest budget we get to see alot more really good looking kills but with that being said the films has what could have been it's best and most coolest kill happen off screen for some reason which makes no sense as the film had the budget to show us the kill and yet the makers of this film chose to have what would have been it's most coolest kill happen off screen when it's something that should have bee shown to us on screen in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is alt better then the first film but at the same time it does also suffer from alot of the same issues that the first film also suffered from with this film being a clear example the makers of this new cinematic universe are willing to listen to what the people are telling them and fix issues with there films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Horror Film fandom wiki page , the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images.

Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
