Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more then a handful of remakes. With the film that i'm going to be reviewing today being the latest in a very longline of remakes all stemming from the fact that someone forgot to trademark the original film and so then join me as I review the film that is the second animated remake of Night Of The Living Dead with the film in question being called simply just "Night Of The Animated Dead" enjoy.

The plot of the film is when visiting the grave of there father siblings Johnny and Barbera find themselves separated after a zombie attack where Barbera has to try and survive the night in a house in the middle of nowhere. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty one of the best things about the film as all it is is a straight up beat for beat shot for shot carbon copy of the original films plot with nothing really new or interesting added to it to make it feel fresh and different which does make you wonder they chose to make this film in the first place as just by copying the plot of the original film all your doing is reminding people that you could be watching a much more better film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Josh Duhamel as Harry Cooper , Katee Sackhoff as Judy , Dulé Hill as Ben and horror icon and scream queen Katharine Isabelle as Barbara. Also starring in this film is James Roday Rodriguez as Tom , Nancy Travis as Helen Cooper , Will Sasso as Sheriff McClelland , Jimmi Simpson as Johnny , Ashley Lambert as Karen Cooper , Stefan Marks as Vince , Ian Duncan as Dr. Grimes and Kirk Baily as A Truck Driver.

Now then interms of what I personally thought  felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as the acting in this film isn't all that good either with the actors that you expect a good performance like Katharine Isabelle for example not really being given all that much to do and as a result of that isn't really allowed to turn in the kind of performance that we all know that she can do with the same thing also being true for Katee Sackhoff both of whom just aren't given all that much to do and that's sadly true for alot of the films male cast as well with all of this films actors not really being given to turn the kind of performances that we know that they can do and whilst they do indeed still turn in some good performances there not as good as those actors can do with the acting in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so bad as it gives none f the films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does affect the overall quality of the acting in this film.

Doing the animation for this film is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Demente Animation Studio. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty choppy at worst and average at best as the animation in this film just looks cheap and to be frank really unfinished with it coming across as the makers of this film just wanted to get this film out there for no reason instead of taking the time to actually finish the animation in this film and as a result is that we end up with animation that at times looks decent enough to be passable animation but most of the time just looks choppy and unfinished with the characters themselves having these really chopping looking movements to them and the backgrounds just coming across as being really uninspired and lazy looking at best and while the animation in this film is quite easily better then the animation that we got in Night Of The Living Dead: Darkest Dawn that's not really a high bar to reach with the animation in this film just being lazy and uninspired to look at at best.

This film isn't the first time that Night Of The Living Dead was given the animated film treatment as that honor goes to Night Of The Living Dead: Darkest Dawn. However what sets that film apart from this film is the fact that that film tried to do something new with the films idea by moving the setting to New York and while it failed miserably with that idea due to it's small budget the film does get credit for at the very least trying to do something new with the original films set up where as this film just copies the original which only makes this film feel boring and pointless as why would us the audience want to watch a more watered down version of a story that was done better in 1968 with the original film being one of if not the best zombie film ever made and heck this film even copies one of the biggest mistakes that the original film also committed by having Barbera by silent and do nothing for the overall vast majority of the films running time this is something that the 1990 remake actually went out of there way to fix and yet for some strange reason the makers of this film chose not to fix it either as instead it just chose to copy the film.

To give this film some credit it does do a good job with them handling the tension between both Ben and Harry. With the film making the characters two sides of the same coin in that they both want to protect the people in the house but it's how they both go about it that creates tension between the two as Ben is more of an action hero type who is willing to stand his ground and fight for what he wants where as Harry is a more practical person who thinks things through logically and while both are correct in there way of thinking both are also wrong in there way of thinking as well as being an action hero type of character is great for this situation but it is also something that has a very limited self life as it means that you could get killed quite easily the next time you step foot outside of the house and while being more practical is also great for this situation as it forces you to think things through more logically it also means your not going to be the most popular person amongst those that your trying to protect and are therefor most likely to get thrown out of the house and left to fight all of the zombies and essentially start all over again.

The original film had a really dark ending that saw all of the films main characters including Ben die either at the hands of the zombies or by those hunting the zombies. This is something that this film thankfully does keep as there's no way that you could do a Night Of The Living Dead  film without doing it's famous and iconic ending as that ending is not only such a dark ending that shows that not everything will end up OK but it's also one of the most famous things that the film is really well known for and not to include it in anyway shape or form would be a disservice to not only this film which prides itself on being a carbon copy of the original film but it would also do a disservice to the original film as well and the fans of the original film as well all of whom are checking this film out and while yes the ending in this film isn't as shocking as it once was as this films lacks all of the commentary that was all over the original film that doesn't take away from the fact that the ending is a shocking ending and it's one that makes the film worth watching.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and ten minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which is such a short amount of running time for this film to have as the original film was over one hour and thirty minuets and made great use of that running tome to fully explore characters something that this film doesn't do and because of that the film feels like that it's one fast forward alot of the time when it should be alot more slower paced which would then allow for the films scares to be built up more and would also allow for the characters to get across there personalities alot more something which they can't do with this film as the film has to rush along to the next plot point which makes those plot points feel really unearned because there was no build up to them and yet if the film did take it's time and have that longer running time those plot points would feel alot more natural then what they already but I really will admit that this film really does have some really bad pacing to it tho.

So ow then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film oddly being more gory then then the original film was with us straight up seeing alot of bone when whenever a zombie bites into a person or whenever a zombie gets it's fingers shot of which was impressive to see but at the same time tho it's not always something that you'd want to see in a Night Of The Living Dead film as you expect a Night Of The Living Dead film being gore free with alot of this films kills having lots of over the top gore which makes the kill go from being really cool to being cartoonish but in the case of Johnny's kill it actually makes his death scene an actually good looking death scene something which every single Night Of The Living Dead film has failed to do and yet it's this film that oddly does his death scene better then when it was done in the original film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of all of the remakes of this classic zombie horror film out there this one is just average at best as there worse ones out there but at the same time it's not as good as the 1990 film either as that film at least tried to fix problems with the original film something that this film really failed to do with this film coming of a cheap cash grab that was really only made to cash in on the Night Of The Living Dead name and really nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good ad as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 4.5 out f 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got ally got all of the images that I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . UK , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Seed Of Chucky Film Review

Horror franchises all have there low points and there low points slasher franchises even more so as there's only so many times that you can tell the same story over and over again before your audience begins to get bored. With the film that i'm about to review for you all today being the low point of the Child's Play franchise as despite just releasing the fan pleasing Bride Of Chucky in 1998 the makers of the Chucky franchise decided to double down on it's more comedic tone and so then join me as I review the film introduces us to Glen and Glenda with the film in question being called simply just "Seed Of Chucky" enjoy.

The plot of this film is six years after the events of the previous Chucky and Tiffany find themselves in Hollywood where with the help of there son / daughter they decide to take over the body of actress Jennifer Tilly so that they can start a new life together. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad as the plot of the film is so far removed from both the first Child's Play and even Bride Of Chucky that it might as well be set in a different universe as while the plot of this film does keep the tone of the previous film it also pushes it to extremes that both the original film and the previous film wouldn't dare to do with the plot of this film also lacking clear focus as well with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Brad Dourif as The Voice Of Chucky and Jennifer Tilly as Herself and The Voice Of Tiffany. Also starring in this film is Billy Boyd as The Voice Of Glen / Glenda , Redman as Himself , Hannah Spearritt as Joan , John Waters as Pete Peters , Keith-Lee Castle as Psychs , Steve Lawton as Stan , Tony Gardner as Himself , Jason Flemyng as Santa , Nicholas Rowe as Lawyer , Stephanie Chambers as Claudia's Mum , Simon James Morgan as Claudia's Dad , Betty Simons-Denville as Claudia , Rebecca Santos as Fulvia , Beans El-Balawi as Human Glen , Kristina Hewitt as Human Glenda , Daniel Getzoff as Assistant Director , Nicola Mycroft as Reporter and Guy J. Louthan as Don Mancini.

Now then interms of what I personally thought  felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films cast members turning in some really good performances as while we do get some really good performances from this films cast we do also get some pretty bad performances as well with both Redman and Hannah Spearritt being prime examples of that which is of course not there fault as neither of them are trained actor and as a result of that is the fact that it would been foolish to expect good performances from them but it is the fault of this films first time director Don Mancini who despite writing and from this film onwards directing every single film in the Child's Play franchise really should have got a good performance out of all of his cast with the acting in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film was just so bad as it gives this films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

This film does have alot of meta humor in it which can at times but at times can also be very distracting as well. With the film having alot of fun of Jennifer Tilly's career which is funny at first but it does get tiresome the more the film goes on and the film is filled to the brim with meta humor like that with the film even commenting on the fact that Tiffany is also played by Jennifer Tilly when it really didn't need as while it's a cute joke that the film doesn't drag on telling it's still a joke that was there just to be a meta joke and while the Scream franchise is also filled to the brim with meta humor as well at least the jokes in that franchise are more about the horror genre as a whole and aren't as distracting alot of the time with the opposite being true for this film and while yes Bride Of Chucky also made meta jokes the meta jokes that they made in that film, were more about the Child's Play franchise as whole and weren't just focused on one person with the meta jokes in this film not even being that smartly written either as all there doing is calling out the fact that an actor in this film is playing two roles and one of them is themself and that's really it.

For some rather odd reason this film chose to make Chucky a family man which while it does work for a character like Tiffany as even in the previous film she was always more motherly in nature and would there for be open to starting a family. It's not something that works with Chucky as that's not in his character as he's a character that would be willing to do whatever it takes to survive in any given situation something which we've seen played out in several different films and heck even the entire premise of the films is built on him trying to survive by any means necessary and as a result of that is the fact that he wouldn't be willing to start of a family or even be that good of a father to his son or daughter as that would get in the way of him trying to survive this is something that should have been thought of when writing for the film and yet it wasn't all for the idea of it being funny seeing Chucky in this father figure role which granted yes is a funny idea but it's also something that doesn't really work with his character in anyway whatsoever.

To give this film some credit the very idea of Chucky and Tiffany being in a Hollywood movie is a good idea. It's just a shame that the film drops that idea just as soon as it starts with it just being an excuse to get both Chucky and Tiffany back to life and that's really it which is a shame as this is a really good idea that could have more then supported an entire film with the best thing being that you really wouldn't have had to have changed all the much about the film in order to make that idea work for the film and yet by dropping this ides it somehow makes the film feel weaker as the films cameos either by actual famous people or by lookalikes really do come out of nowhere whereas if the idea of Chucky and Tiffany working on a movie was kept intact then those cameos could be explained away by saying that there working on the movie or there working on a movie that's filming near there or there auditioning for a movie all of which would make those cameos feel natural and a lot less forced and it would also for the makers of this film to comment on things that were going on in Hollywood at the time that this film was being made something which they now can't do as the idea of Chucky and Tiffany making a movie was dropped.

One of this films most divisive ideas is that of Glen / Glenda with the characters not being as fully developed as they really should have been. With the general idea of the characters being that there's basically split personalities going on in Glen one of which is the more calm and lovable Glen and the other is the more psychotic Glenda and while there could be other ways to view the idea behind the two characters the fact remains that both ideas aren't that well done as neither character is given alot of time to really showcase what there respective personalty is with Glenda not even showing up until the films third act and her not even being hinted at at all during the films running time and as a result of that is the fact that we get a character that is really let down by the films script as the character or characters on there own do have the potential to be some really good characters and yet due to the fact that the films script doesn't give them each the time that they really need to be fully developed as characters the idea behind the character as a whole just falls flat.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour ad twenty six minuets and fifteen seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for this franchise to have and to this films credit it really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time but at the same time tho this film feels oddly shorter then what it should have been as alot of this film feels like it's on fast forward alot of the time likes there's a few a scenes missing that would help to make this film flow alot better then what it does which makes you wonder if this film was meant to be alot longer then what it was and if this film was longer as well it would also mean that the film would have the chance to fully develop alot of it's  characters as well something which really can't be done with the films current time as the film has to put alot of focus on advancing it's plot and can't really give alot of it's time to developing any of it's characters which is something that really does affect the film in the longer run of things but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as alot of this films kills aren't that good either with alot of the kills in this film oddly feeling really tame for this franchise as while yes we do get some really gory kills in this film those are very few and far between with the film having alot of kills that feel like the kind of kill that you'd expect to see in a slasher film from the early 2000's as alot of this films kills happen either off screen or we don't get to see what actually kills the person in question and yet when we do get to see a really gory kill in this film it's more often the best kill in the film as a whole and it's those gory kills that do also make the film worth watching due how gory they are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is quite clearly the series low point and it's no wonder that for the next film they went to being a straight up horror film instead of being a horror comedy as while yes this franchise has always had it's goofy moments this film took those goofy moments a bit to far in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good ad as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Child's Play fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this episode up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight Film Review

There are plenty of iconic horror franchises out there and plenty of iconic horror characters out there as well. With one of those characters being the horror host The Crypt Keeper and the franchise being Tales From The Crypt with the original TV series being so popular that when the series ended the team behind making the show sort to make a trilogy of films based on the franchise with each entry telling a different story and so then join me as I review that is really the second ever Tales From The Crypt film with the film in question being called simply just "Tales From The Crypt Presents: Demon Knight" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a stranger with a mysterious past and an eve more mysterious object walks into a hotel to stay for a couple of nights all of the staff plus a few others have to fight of a hoard of demons. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad however that's also the problem as the plot of this film isn't all that good either with the plot of this film not really being epic enough to be a plot of a feature length film as an episode of the show could have told this story but at the same time tho this plot is something that's worth seeing as while it does rely on several tropes from other horror films like this one it still has fun with those concepts and ideas with the plot of the film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Billy Zane as The Collector , William Sadler as Frank Brayker and Jada Pinkett as Jeryline. Also starring in this film is Thomas Haden Church as Roach , C. C. H. Pounder as Irene , Brenda Bakke as Cordelia , Dick Miller as Uncle Willy , Gary Farmer as Deputy Bob , Ryan O'Donohue as Danny , Charles Fleischer as Wally , John Schuck as Sheriff Tupper , Sherrie Rose as Wanda and John Kassir as The Voice Of The Crypt Keeper.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast turning in some really good performances with even Jada Pinkett turning in a good performance as well but without a shadow of a doubt the all time best performer in this film is quite easily Billy Zane as The Collector as he really is quite easily the only one that's having alot of fun starring in this film and that is something that really does shine right on through in the performance and while John Kassir is solid as The Crypt Keeper he rather rightfully doesn't really get quite alot of screen time to leave an impression on us the audience but what lets the acting down in this film is the fact that the films script really is just so bad as it gives none of the films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are really even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Pretty much all of the characters in the main part of the film just aren't that interesting in the slightest way possible. As there's nothing that's all that interesting about this films characters as alot of them just have one personality trait and that's really it with Jada's Pinkett's character being a tough girl and so she acts tough and that all there is to her character and it's the same thing with all of the characters in this film as all of them just base there entire character around that one personality trait and it's the same thing that true for William Sadler's character who is the self appointed leader of this group of his heroes and he makes that his entire personality trait and as a result of that is the fact that we end up with a bunch of characters that have the potential to be good characters and yet because of the fact that there all written so badly this films characters can't be as good as they could have been with this not really being helped by the fact that the films villain is quite easily the best character in the whole entire film as he's just such a fun character to watch and it makes you wonder why the makers of this film didn't bother to make the characters that your actually supposed to like as entertaining as the films main villain is.

For those of you that don't know this film is an adaptation of the TV show Tales From The Crypt which ran on HBO from June 10 1989 and lasted until July 19th 1996. However what alot of people is that the TV show and by extension this movie are also based off of a comic book also called Tales From The Crypt with the TV show even adapting some of the comic books most stories with this film not really adapting any particualr issue of the comic book as alot of the comic books stories were adapted for both the TV show and the 1972 film of the exact same name and as a result of that is the fact that we get a film that tells an original tale featuring a comic book character that not alot of people would even know is a comic book character in the first place as the comic book series isn't all that well known at least when compared to the HBO series as well which makes you wonder what other horror shows that are very well known are also based off of a comic book as surely this show can't be the only one but it might be the only one that's the most well known tho.

While this film was meant to be the first film in a trilogy of films but for some strange plans for a trilogy were cancelled after the release of the second film. It's hard to tell what that third film would have been like but what we do know for a fact is that a key that was in both this film and in the second film was due to appear in the third film as well and given how bad this film could get at times it's a wonder that they even got to a second film as this film got really bad reviews from critics at the time and yet despite all of that the film was also technically a mild hit at the box office and earned enough money to guarantee a second film which does make sense as this film was produced when the show was at it heights ratings wise and yet because of that you'd think that the makers of this film would put just as much effort into this film that they'd put into the making of the show and yet they don't and as a result of that is the fact that this film really does feel like a cash gran when the makers of this film should have put quite alot of effort into making this film as good if not better then the show that it's spawned from.

With this film being a horror comedy there is a little bit mor effort put into the films horror aspect which does make sense given the films nature. As the only bit of real comedy comes from both the opening and closing segments of the film with the middle portion of the film being the actual film itself and that's where the film puts in alot of effort into it's horror aspect and to this films credit the film does have alot of good scares and kills in it and while the film doesn't really take as full advantage of it's demon killers as it really could have done the film does the best that it could have done to make those killers seem all the more creepy then what they actually are and that is something that really does work in the film as we the audience don't get to ave a good look at the villains as there hidden in the dark for quite alot of the film which means that we have to imagine what they look like which is something that really does make them all the more creepy and scary then what they actually are with the films kills being just as inventive as you'd want them to be.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and twenty two seconds. Which is pretty much the perfect running time for this film as while the film does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time given the fact that this film is basically just an extended episode of the show the film really doesn't have to a longer running time as all it needs is enough running time to make it to a feature length film and that's really it and that's exactly what we get in this film and while having a longer running time would time would also help the film out as it would give the film a chance to fully flesh out it's characters alot more then what it really does it would also have the add on effect of stretching the films plot really thin and making the film feel like a chore to sit through and would ultimately do more harm to the film that would do actually good to the film but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured/ presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As alot of the films jokes do come from making puns about being dead and that's really it which while they are funny it would still be nice to see the film do alot more actually funny things that they perhaps couldn't do in the show instead of just sticking to what they know works thanks to the show as this movie had the chance to appeal to a more wider audience that perhaps didn't or don't watch the show and apart of that is the humor which in this film could have been alot better as that would also have the add on effect of making the show look a lot more funnier then what it might already be as well and yet all this film does is just copy and paste the exact same type of jokes that the show would use and not really anything that's really all that new to them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while it's hard to say if this film is a good entry point for the series as the film really isn't that good but given that the show is an anthology then there really would be no harm in starting with this film just as a way to dip your toes into this franchise to see if you like it or not in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the image tat I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Tales From The Crypt fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images.

The Munsters 2022 Film Review

The Munsters franchise is one that Universal Pictures really doesn't care about as they've messed it up so many times now. With there latest mess up of the franchise coming in the film that i'm about to review for you all today with this film also being one that let's be honest here alot of us forgot was even a thing in the first place as there's been no move on The Munsters franchise since this film came out and so then join me as I review the film that features a slumming it Sylvester McCoy with the film in question being called simply just "The Munsters" enjoy.

The plot of this film is the very first thing that's wrong with this film as this film has no plot to speak of whatsoever. With the film instead mainly feeling like a bunch of random scenes just stuck together and while the film does indeed have a very loose narrative in it's final forty minuets all that is is an excuse to get The Munsters to America with the first hour of the film not having a plot as it's more focused on telling the story of how Herman and Lily met in the first place instead of actually telling a plot be it a good one or not and while the film very easily could have had a plot that revolved around Human and Lily meeting heck even the loose plot near the end of the film would have been better then what actually got in the film the very fact that this films writer , director and producer Rob Zombie chose not to give this film a plot really does make him seem like a lazy filmmaker and this film feel pointless as the film has nom plot to speak of and there for has no reason to exist in the first place in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster and Donna Doomley and Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster , Shecky Von Rathbone and Zombo. Also starring in this film is Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa Munster and Ezra Mosher , Richard Brake as Dr. Wolfgang and Orlock , Jorge Garcia as Floop , Sylvester McCoy as Igor , Catherine Schell as Zoya Krupp , Tomas Boykin as Lester , Levente Törköly as Bela Krupp , Jeremy Wheeler as Mr. Gateman , Roderick Hill as Mr. Goodbury , Mark Griffith as Mr. Graves , Renáta Kiss as Uncle Gilbert , Butch Patrick as The Voice Of Tin Can Man and Cassandra Peterson as Barbara Carr.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as the acting in this film isn't all that good with the worst actor in this film being Sheri Moon Zombie who just isn't that good of an actress when in a leading role as she's an actress that's alot more suited to being a side character or even a minor character at best and yet here by making her a lead character Rob Zombie has completely exposed the fact that his wife just can't act with the same thing being true for alot of this films cast as alot of this films cast just don't turn in good performances in this film with the only real exception being Daniel Roebuck who really does capture the spirit of Al Lewis with the acting in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so bad as it really gives none of this films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this film as this films script really is just all that bad.

In what is a rather bold move this film decides to tell the story of how Herman and Lily met and give alot of focus to there romance. This is a good idea as none of the previous movies or even alot of the episodes of either the original show or even The Munsters Today gave the romance between Herman and Lily alot of attention and here it's the main focus which really isn't that bad of an idea as the film gives there romance a kind of Romeo And Juliet type feel only done with The Munsters which isn't a bad idea but at the same time an idea that's this good still needs a good script in order to do that good idea some justice ad that is the one thing that is letting this romance down as is the fact that both Sheri Moon Zombie and Jeff Daniel Phillips don't have alot of chemistry together as they come across as people who are close friends and not as people who meant to be madly in love with each other this is despite the fact that the idea of showing us how Herman and Lily met is more then strong enough to support it's own feature film and while the actual romance could have been handled a little bit better the idea behind it is still a solid idea.

For some reason this film chose to give Lily alot more screen time which for this franchise just straight up doesn't work. As all of the main characters should be given an equal amount of screen time and yet it's Lily that gets more screen time then either both Herman or Grandpa with this having the add of effect of making what would have been some very minor issues with her character now seem all the more huge as because if the the character had less screen time or equal screen time to both Herman and Grandpa then people would be alot less forgiving with Sheri Moon's acting as the film would then become and ensemble piece which is something that's perfect for her and it would also mean that it would that the dreadful writing that is all over her character wouldn't be as noticeable as while it would still noticeable people would be more focused on the dreadful writing on the other characters to really notice it but what is something that would be noticed no matter what is the fact that the character is just bland and boring in this film with her character not having much of a personality and is just there just because she was there in the original show and that's really it.

Herman and Grandpa do come of a little bit better as it does come across as there actors Jeff Daniel Phillips (Herman) and Daniel Roebuck (Grandpa) are at least trying to recapture the spirit of the original characters. With only Daniel Roebuck being successful but it does show that there is some small amount of effort to recapture the magic of the original show whilst also still trying to do something new with the franchise and in that regard Rob Zombie is the best man to bring this film to the screen as he is a fan of The Munsters but at the same time the film itself still isn't all that good as while Herman and Grandpa come of better when compared to Lily there still not that very well written as characters with there being not reason for them to like each other with them going from Grandpa hating Herman to liking him with nothing being done to explain why that that's the case and Grandpa does have somewhat of a personality that's in line with the original show Herman on the other hand doesn't have that as instead of being a lovable and caring person like he was in the original show in this film is straight up the dumb one of the group with him not being all that lovable at all which make Herman just come across as being a very one dimensional character and not like the caring character that he was in the original show.

To be frank this film looks cheap which might be because of the fact of that the film may or may not have had a small budget or it might be because of the fact that Rob Zombie wanted to give the film alot of color to add some "hyper-real" fashion which all it does is just call attention to the fact that this film looks cheap looking with it being painfully obvious when the film is using green screen and rear and front projection which is great if your trying to make it look like the original show but that's also the problem as this isn't the sixties and it's not the original show it's the twenty twenties and it's not a TV show it's a movie and as a result of that is the fact that the film should have looked alot more dearer then what it did and the fact that wasn't case at all only has the add on effect of making this film look like a cheaply made made for TV movie and not an actual film that was released on Netflix with this being a big issue alot of the time when it comes to the creature effects where it's just so obvious that there just actors in masks that it becomes distracting and takes you out of the film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty nine minuets and forty six seconds. Which is such a long running time for a film like this one to have as the film doesn't have a plot to speak it really does make the film alot longer then what it really needs to be as while you very easily could have gotten the film up to a feature length running time for the Lily and Herman plot as that would have at the very least have been something better then what we got but at the same time tho this film is broken on a fundamental level regardless of the films plot or the films running time ad while yes the film would have been better with a short running time as it would have forced the makers of the film to really focus it's plot alot more then what it actually does at the same time tho we'd still be watching a bad film and that is something that would never change unless the film was fixed at the most basic of levels and one of those being the fact the loose plot at the end of the film should have been alot longer then what it is but I will admit that this film really does have some really dreadful pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad. As the film doesn't have that many actually funny jokes in it with alot of this films jokes just being painfully unfunny at best with only a few the films very early jokes getting a smile and only one of the films jokes near the end of the film getting a smile as well and that isn't due to the joke itself as it's instead due to the actors in the scene that make the joke funny and as a result of that is the fact that we end up with a film that is just straight up unfunny and insulting to the fans of the original show as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of all the The Munsters films out there this one is just above The Munsters Scary Little Christmas interms of quality but it's still a bad film that will put off new potential fans to the franchise and as well as all of the old fans who are returning to the franchise as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and ad well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk , Tenor and Google Images.

Grindhouse Film Review

Double feature films are sadly a thing of the past with them only being remembered by the most die hard of cinema lovers. With two of those lovers being Hollywood heavyweights Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino doing something to set that right and as a result of that is in the year 2007 we got a double feature from two directors who really just make whatever kind of film that they want to make and so then join me as a I review that really should have been a hit film with the film in question being called simply just "Grindhouse" enjoy.

The plots of this film is in Planet Terror a group of survivors find there small Texan town overrun by zombies and have to do whatever it takes to survive where as in Death Proof a group of people have to outwit a deadly stuntman who wants them all dead and buried. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually feature / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with the plot of Planet Terror being the better of the two films plot wise as it not only embraces the zombie genre but also has alot of fun with it where as the plot of Death Proof just felt like that it was Tarantino on auto pilot that's not to say that it's a bad plot because it's not it's just that you expect better from the writer and director of Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight with the plots of the films both being really entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these films is Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling and Pam , Freddy Rodriguez as El Wray and Josh Brolin as Dr. William Block. Also starring in this film is Marley Shelton as Dr. Dakota Block , Jeff Fahey as J.T. Hague , Michael Biehn as Sheriff Hague , Rebel Rodriguez as Tony Block , Naveen Andrews as Dr. John "Abby" Abbington , Julio Oscar Mechoso as Romy , Fergie as Tammy Visan , Nicky Katt as Joe , Hung Nguyen as Dr. Crane , Tom Savini as Deputy Tolo , Carlos Gallardo as Deputy Carlos , Skip Reissig as Skip , Electra and Elise Avellan as The Crazy Babysitter Twins , Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike McKay , ZoĂ« Bell as Herself , Rosario Dawson as Abernathy Ross , Vanessa Ferlito as Arlene , Sydney Tamiia Poitier as Jungle Julia Lucai , Tracie Thoms as Kim Mathis , Jordan Ladd as Shanna , Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Lee Montgomery , Death Proofs writer , director and producer , Planet Terrors producer and the producer of Grindhouse Quentin Tarantino as Warren and Lewis , Marcy Harriell as Marcy , Eli Roth as Dov , Omar Doom as Nate , Michael Bacall as Omar , Monica Staggs as Lanna Frank , Jonathan Loughran as Jasper , James Parks as Ranger Edgar McGraw and Bruce Willis as Lieutenant Muldoon.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good for the most part. As while we do have some really good solid actors turning in some good performances in this film at the same time tho we also get alot of really bad performances in both of these films with the worst offender for this film being Planet Terror as that films writer , producer and director Robert Rodriguez just straight up hired his friends for alot of the roles and alot of them just can't act but at the same time the friends that he hired to do the film aren't actors and as a result to expect a good performance out of them just wouldn't make sense and of course we get some really good acting out of Death Proof as Quentin Tarantino knows how to get a good performance out of his cast with the acting for both films really being helped by the fact that the scripts of both of these films are so good that all these films casts have to do is just the say lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to improve the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

Doing the CGI for these films is the legends and the greats that are currently over at Double Negative , The Orphanage and Troublemaker Digital Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very films well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very films was in all honesty really good with Planet Terror having some really good use of CGI as it's only used to create something that would be physically impossible to create practically which is a really great way to use CGI as it's something that couldn't be done practically and has to be done in a computer which is a great way to use CGI instead of using to replace someone or something that was there on the day and replacing with something or someone else and it helps that the effect on the CGI good really does look really good and as is an effect that has aged really well all of these years later.

This film whilst not successful at the box office still somehow managed to spawn three spin off films all from the films many fake trailers. Which is a great way to continue on with this franchise without having to make a Grindhouse 2 but at the same time tho those films don't recapture the magic that is this film this is despite the fact that alot of those films are still really good films in there own and heck even two of those film have managed to spawn sequels with Machete getting Machete Kills and Thanksgiving is getting a sequel in 2025 but there's one trailer that's perfect for it's director and that's Werewolf Women Of The SS with this fake trailer making it seem like that it's the absolutely perfect film for it's director Rob Zombie as it has alot of things that Rob Zombie is known for however just going of the fake trailer it comes across the type of the film that would be perfect for a director like Rob Zombie to make as it's just balls to the wall insanity and given how much love Rob Zombie has for the horror genre it makes you wonder why he hasn't tried to turn Werewolf Women Of The SS into an actual movie.

Out of the two films while Death Proof is the better made film it's Planet Terror that's the more entertaining film to watch. As that film despite being very cheesy and like a low budget horror film it's also a film that has alot of the more cooler and just pure fun moments where as Death Proof on the other hand despite having the better acting out of the two and the more interesting premise out of the two films it's also the one that's the more boring of the two films as not alot actually happens which makes you wonder Quentin Tarantino decided that this script was good enough or decided that he was doing a good enough film as we know for a fact that he can make great films just look at the rest of his filmography as prove of that but while Death Proof isn't that good of a film it's still a good example of the director showing his love for classic cinema as we get very little to know CGI in Death Proof with it being all done practically and was most likely shot on film where as Planet Terror was shot digitally and it's that small attention to detail that makes this film a great throwback to something that will never be coming back.

To give Death Proof some credit it's main villain Stuntman Mike is a somewhat good villain as while he does have a great way of killing people we the audience don't get the chance to find out why he is the way that he is. Where as with alot of the more villainous characters from Planet Terror we do get to understand why they are the way that they are and that makes it easier for us the audience to hate them where as with Stuntman Mike despite him being the more villain who is just a pure joy to watch in Death Proof just comes across as being very one note and as a result of that it makes it harder for us the audience to dislike him as we're not really given a reason to hate him outside of the fact that he's the villain and that's really it and as a result of that is the fact that he comes across as being a really forgettable villain when on paper he sounds like one of the more memorable horror villains and yet people don't talk about him and that's because of the fact that he is a forgettable villain where as the more villainous characters in Planet Terror are alot more memorable.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly three hours and eleven minuets and twenty one seconds. With each of this films two separate films being around one hour and thirty minuets each with that running time being a great running time for either film to have as both films have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time with both films using there running time as best that they could have done in the short amount of time that they both had an while yes both films would have been better if they were slightly longer as then they could fully flesh out characters a bit more and make them stand out from all of the other horror characters and thus become alot more three dimensional in adding on even fifteen more minuets they'd be stretching there already pretty thinly drawn out plots even thinner but I will admit that both films really do have some really good pacing to them tho.

So now then as these are horror films that means that to have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in these very films well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in these very films were in all honesty not that bad. With both films having some really good kills and while Planet Terror has the more over the top and outlandish kills which are always fun to watch it's Death Proof that has the better kills in the fil just due to the fact that the kills main weapon is so unique in that it's his car and seeing him use that car to take out his victims in the films first half was really entertaining to see with and while the second half of Death Proof does have truly iconic car chase scene at the end of the film the film itself doesn't live up it's slasher name with Planet Terror having more kills all of which are just balls to wall fun to see in the film and it's those kills that help to make this film really fun to watch as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of the two films whilst Death Proof is the better made of the two films it's Planet Terror that's quite the more entertaining and better of the two films overall and both films go along way to showing you there respective directors love for cinema as a whole as both films are something that really do need to be seen to be believed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these very films in this very review and such that means that this very film really does earn itself a grand old total combined score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review ell then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images.
