In A Violent Nature Film SPOILER FREE Film Review

While cinema as a whole might be suffering at the box office horror cinema certainly isn't with this being one of the best years for horror in quite a few years. With the film that i'm going to be talking about today being a good example of the fact that you don't need a big budget to make a scary film as all you need is a good script and the rest will fall into place and so then join me as I give you mt SPOILER FREE review the film that quite literally puts you in the killers shoes with the film in question simply just "In A Violent Nature" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a necklace is taken from an old fire hour a killer will get revenge on those that took it once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought /felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us  in this very film was in all honesty both really good and yet at the same time shockingly simple which in this case isn't a bad thing as it's the films nature to tell a simple story that's easy to follow and is very cut and dry both of which are things that work well enough in this films favour due to it's unique set up that being the fact the film is being told from the point of view of the killer and not from the victims point of view which also has the add of effect of making what could have been seen as a very tired and worn plot and set up with a bunch collage aged kids trying to survive a weekend in the woods seem all the more refreshing and different with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Andrea Pavlovic as Kris , Cameron Love as Colt and Reece Presley as The Ranger. Also starring in this film is Liam Leone as Troy , So Much Tenderness star Charlotte Creaghan as Aurora , Lea Rose Sebastianis as Brodie , Sam Roulston as Ehren , Alexander Oliver as Evan , Friday The 13th Part 2 star Lauren-Marie Taylor as The Woman , Timothy Paul McCarthy as Chuck and Ry Barrett as Johnny.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought /felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which is really shocking as pretty all of this films cast members are a bunch of unknown actors and as a result of that is the fact that it wouldn't have been wise to expect a good or even great performance from them and while yes some of the performances could have been alot better then what they were given the fact that this film only had a really small budget for just over $4 million American dollars the film does get some credit for having actors that do turn in a good performance alot of the time with even Lauren-Marie Taylor who hasn't acted in anything in over ten years at this point in time still turning a really solid performance in this film with the acting in this film really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so good that all this films cast have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them alot more naturally which is something that really foes help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

This film has quite alot of long shots of just the killer walking which at first does seem like it will get boring. However when you realise that the whole point of the film is to see things from the killers of point of view it does make alot of sense as it's something that does also set up how the killer gets to his targets instead of just appearing in front or behind them like would normally be the case this way feels alot more natural as this is a horror film that's based alot more on reality and that does include seeing the killer do quite alot of walking bit at the same time tho seeing alot of shots of the killer just walking doesn't really add anything to the film which means that those shots do alot of the time feel alot like filler as they don't add thing to the film and are there just to make the film alot more artistic then what it actually is as this film is still fairly artistic due to it's set up and due to the fact that the film has no music and features alot of long shots and as a result of that is the fact that alot of the shots of killer just walking whilst they really do serve the main point of the film do also feel quite alot like filler scenes as well.

Much like how Scream changed the slasher genre this film does so once again by having alot of the focus be on the films villain. With all of the films running time being spent seeing things from the killers perspective which is something that really hasn't been done before now and it's weird that no slasher film has thought of this ides as the idea alone is a creepy and unsettling idea and yet it's taken us until now for this idea to work when it's something that could have been done when slasher films stopped being popular in the late eighties and early nineties but at the same time tho if this idea was done back in the day then this film wouldn't feel fresh , unique and different as it would be repeating an idea that we've already seen before and yet because of the fact that this idea hasn't been done before it helps to make this film stand out from alot of the other films both horror and none horror that are currently out now and that is something that will help this film stand out from all of those other films and while people might not see it because it's franchise name those that will go and see it will get something that they didn't know that they wanted instead of getting the same thing given to them over and over again.

While there are alot of good things to be found in this film there are also quite alot of bad things to be found in this film as well. Like the fact that all of the hero characters aren't that well developed which again might be the idea but at the same time tho the film really should have made the effort to make all if not alot of it's hero characters more fully developed then what they already are because as things stand these characters come across as stereotypical slasher movie characters that have nothing unique about them which in turn has the add on effect of making all of those characters come across as being which in turn does make you want to see them get killed off which is something that really shouldn't happen as you should always want to see them survive even more if there written as being likable characters which is the case with this film and yet because of the fact that there not that fully developed as characters it just makes you route for the killer when what you should be routing for are the films protagonists.

Another one of the films faults is the fact that even tho it's based on a more realistic setting and has a more realistic type of killer. The film does make it's main killer somewhat supernatural not by giving him powers or by having him teleport all other place but by having him come back to life at the start of the film which is something that does clash with the films more realistic take on the slasher genre and while it does feel like an homage to slasher films of the past it's also something that isn't needed as the makers of this film could have had this films villain still be alive and the hero characters still take something that's personal to him without knowing about it like what they did with the first Leprechaun film and yet here they instead chose to go halfway with the more realistic idea which does have the add on effect of making that aspect of the film feel rather underwhelmed and undercooked as it's something that isn't as fully developed as it really could have been with the same thing also being true for the supernatural side of things as well which also makes the film feel alot less fun as the film could have had some fun with it's supernatural side of things and yet because of the fact that that aspect of the film really isn't as focused on all that much the film isn't really allowed to be as fun as it really could have been.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty three minuets and fifty two seconds. Which is pretty much the perfect running time for this film as while this film does indeed take it's time telling it's plot as the film is more of a slow burn then what it really should have been with it's running time the film really doesn't have alot of plot to cover anything longer then that anyways and as a result of that is the fact that the film really doesn't need a long running time to really tell it's story and while yes it would have been better if the film did really have a longer running time as that really would allow the film to develop it's hero characters really alot more then what they already do on the flip side tho to do that would also mean that it's basic idea of showing the film from the killers point of view really would be stretching the films idea and it's basic premise even more thing then what it already is but I will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher fil m that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films having some really awsome and gnarly kills in it with all of this films being just so cool to watch with what makes the kills in this film so much fun to watch is the fact that there's no music in this film and so the scares that do happen in this film are more genuine scares and the films kills are some really fun and inventive kills with all of this films kills being kills that rally haven't been seen in alot of slasher films before now which is something that is really hard to do as there are alot of slasher films out there and yet with this film we get some genuinely really unique kills with this film being worth watching just for the kills alone as that's just how good the kills in this film really are in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is worth watching not only for it's unique idea which sets it apart from all of the other slasher films that are out there but this film is also worth watching for all of it's kills and while yes there are some bad things in this film there are alot more good things to be in this film as film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself gran old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

The Final Film Review

There are alot of horror films that sadly don't get alot of attention from either the mainstream audience or die hard horror fans alike. With the movie that i;m about to review fro you all today being one such a film as this movie is so little known that not alot of people will even tho this that this movie is close to being twenty years old and it's also kind of a Saw knock off movie as well and so then join me as I review the film that is basically the Saw franchise on an even smaller budget with the film in question being called simply just "The Final" enjoy.

The plot of the film is several outcasts tired of getting bullied decide to get the ultimate form of revenge on those who have bullied and tormented them in the past. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good as it's story at it's core was one that's rather simple and timeless as it's a story about people getting payback on those that have bullied them but here the plot of the film twists that in a way that makes the story seem fresh and new by giving us some new twists and turns but at the same time tho the plot of this film isn't all that good either as it doesn't do anything that's all that interesting as it's still a plot that you can see coming a mile away and while how you get to those points is a good idea it doesn't change the fact that the plot of the film is also really predictable as well with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Marc Donato as Dane , Jascha Washington as Kurtis and Whitney Hoy as Bridget. Also starring in this film is Julin as Heather, anime voice acting legend Lindsay Seidel as Emily , Laura Ashley Samuels as Kelli , Justin S. Arnold as Bradley , Travis Tedford as Andy , Eric Isenhower as Jack , Vincent Silochan as Ravi , Farah White as The Reporter , Preston Flagg as Riggs , Hunter Garner as Tommy , Ryan Hayden as Miles , Daniel Ross Owens as Bernard , Mark Nutter as Deputy Henessey and Matthew Posey as Parker.

Now then interms of what I personally thought /felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally tought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which was truly shocking as at the time of this films production all of this films cast members weren't that well known and as a result of that is the fact that it would have been foolish to expect even an OK performance from this films young cast and yet the fact that we got a bunch of really good performances really does go to show you just how good this films cast are as nearly all of them turn in some really good performances with one of the few people that don't quite turn in a really good in this film performance is Julin , Mark Nutter and Matthew Posey who really do try to turn in a good performance but they all just can't quite turn in a good performance in this film with the acting in this film not really being helped by the films script which just gives none of the films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does bring down the overall quality of the acting that's in this film.

While it was a good idea to have all of this films villains hide behind masks it is also something that makes the victims look dumb as alot of the villains have really unique features body shapes that makes them recognisable. Which has the add on effect of making the films look dumb since for example the character of Dane has some fairly curly hair and is the only one in there school with that type of hair and yet none of the bullies can put two and two together which yes might be the point as the bullies openly admit to not even knowing the names of who it is that there bullying but at the same time tho if your going to go to the length of giving all of the social outcasts masks and costumes then at least make sure that there not showing anything that is unique to them and then you can get away with the bullies not even knowing who it is that's torturing them and it would make those that were being bullied look like that they've thought of everything where as as things stand it makes the whole thing look like that it was put together at the last minuet when that's not the case as it's stated in the film that they've been planning for this for a long time.

It's really plain to see that this film really does alot of inspiration from the Saw films more specially the later Saw sequels. With there being alot more focus on the torture methods instead of the characters and story where as in the later Saw films there would be alot more focus on the films traps and not the characters and the story and as a result of this is the fact that the film really does come across as being nothing more then a Saw trip off film albeit one then at least tries to do something new and different and doesn't just copy the Saw formular to the letter but with that being said tho it does make you wonder why the makers of this film chose to copy the Saw films when it would have been alot more cheaper to do a slasher film as then you wouldn't have to come up with various torture methods and do lots of various make up effects as you could always not show that much of the kill which would save the makers of this film alot of money in the long run but at the exact same time tho it would also require alot more locations which wouldn't be cheap to get tho.

This film does do something that was rather smart and that's the fact that it gets you to care about those being bullied and it gets to hate the bullies. Only to then switch it around and have the ones that your meant to like be the ones that are committing these crimes and the ones that your supposed hate be the ones that are the victims when usually in a film like this it's usually black and white about who are the good guys and who are the bad guys and as a result of that is the fact that there's no twists and turns and yet that's exactly what we get in this film as it makes you wonder who it is that your supposed to like with this being hit home even more when you take into account that the outcasts homelifes aren't exactly perfect either be it because of the fact that there parents are always arguing are they just don't straight up talk to them all of the outcasts have bad homelifes which again makes you route you for them where as all we see of the bullies up until they reach the party where they get captured and tortured they've all been acting like people which makes you wonder if the outcasts were right all along or not.

The film does at least try to make the outcasts human by having them interact with there respective bullies during the torture part of the film. With even some of them accepting there bullies apologises which was something that the film didn't have to do and yet by doing that it does make both sets of characters feel alot more three dimensional as the bullies themselves learn that there actions do have consequences and the outcasts learn that even people who might seem like harmful people are still just that there people and because of that they can mistakes and they need to learn that there actions can and do have consequences and while this is true for a lot of the outcasts the fact that they go and show Dane going slowly insane over the course of the film really does go to show you just how far he's gone mentally and while he's not willing to break his vow and kill his main bully the fact that he's willing to kill of one of the people that was actually helping him and was a very good friend to him does show you that when pushed he is willing to commit murder.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and forty seven seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for a film like this one to have and to this film it really take as full advantage of that running time as it really good but the film really doesn't have alot there interms of plot to really cover that large amount and as a result of that s the fact that alot of scenes like the outcasts setting up for the party do come across as feeling like filler as they add nothing to the overall plot of the film in the longer run while something  things do indeed come back like seeing Dane lay down a bear trap near the start of the film does indeed come back none of what we see of them setting up for the party plays apart in the films plot in anyway whatsoever and all it does is take away screen time from scenes that could have been used to set up what the outcasts personalities are like and what the bullies personalities which go along way to help to make those characters feel alot more three dimensional then what they already are but I will admit that this film really does have some really food pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I ave to actually talk about the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty i in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However that's also the problem as this film wasn't all that particularly scary either but given that the films main focus was on the torture methods and not in creating good scares much like the later Saw films that does somewhat make sense but at the same time given that this is a horror film there should be some focus on creating good scares and not just giving us some rather interesting torture methods which at best would make anyone just squirm and not outright scare anyone with the scariest thing in this episode being the fact that actor Marc Donato gets really up close and personal with the people that he's torturing which was fun and at times creepy to see but that's really it as there really was nothing all that scary to be found in this film whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while it's not hard to see why this film isn't all that talked about that much as it is a really small budgeted horror film it is still one that at least tries to do something new with the age old idea of outcasts getting revenge of some sort on those who have bullied them in the past and that is something to be praised no matter the quality of the film that it's attached to in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards .
