Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II Film Review

In the eighties it was very easy for a horror film to get a sequel and they usually happened within the year of the original film. However that was not the case with Prom Night as despite that film being a really good early slasher film when it first came out it would take a good five or six years for it to get a sequel and even then that film technically isn't a sequel film at all and so then join me as I review the film that both is and isn't a sequel to Prom Night with the film in question being called simply just "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" enjoy.

The plot of this film is student Vicki Carpenter finds herself being haunted by the ghost of an old prom queen who is out for revenge on the people that killed her back in the fifties. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually feature / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I inn all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad as it was quite the fun plot but at the sae time it wasn't a very interesting plot either as it has none of what made the original Prom Night work so well as a plot and while that is understandable given the production of this film as this is a sequel it is something that does become an issue with the film itself and while the plot of the film really does borrow quite alot of plot elements from really alot of other horror films to tell it's plot it does enough new things with those elements to make seem fresh and new again and indeed it is those elements of the films plot that do make the plot of the film as wonderfully bizarre and strange as it is but in a way that does make them fun to see play out in this very film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Wendy Lyon as Vicki Carpenter , Justin Louis as Craig Nordham and Michael Ironside as Principal Bill "Billy" Nordham. Also starring in this film is Steve Atkinson as Young Billy Nordham , Richard Monette as Father Buddy Cooper , Robert Lewis as Young Buddy Cooper , Lisa Schrage as Mary Lou Maloney , Terri Hawkes as Kelly Hennenlotter , Wendell Smith as Walt Carpenter , Judy Mahbey as Virginia Carpenter , Beverley Hendry as Monica Waters , Brock Simpson as Josh , Beth Gondek as Jess Browning and John Pyper-Ferguson as Eddie Wood.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As it's quite clear as day that all of this films actors are indeed trying their absolute best to turn in a good performance but for one reason or another they just can't and that is something that really does work both for and against the film it's works for the film in the way that this film is quite clearly a very campy and over the top film and thus isn't meant to be taken seriously but at the same time bad acting will always be bad acting as even in campy films the acting still needs to believable for it to work and the acting in this film just isn't all that believable with very few of the actors having actual chemistry together with them coming less like actual friends and more like people who just met each other that day with the acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that the script for this film really doesn't give any of this films actors a lot to work with inter s of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even mean to be in the first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film

It's well known that the original Prom Night had a more grounded and somewhat more realistic tone whereas it's the opposite that's true for this film. As this film is alot more lighter in tone with the film having alot more jokes in it which is something that does work for this film and if you treat this film as the standalone sequel that it is it is something that works for the franchise as well as this is a franchise that isn't meant to be taken seriously for the most part but at the same time tho given that this film is a sequel the sudden tonal change really does feel out of the place as while the first film did have it's more light hearted moments it was always a very serious film with the films more light hearted moments not really undercutting the more serious moments but here it feels like the more serious and the more lighthearted ton are at odds with each other as when the film is getting serious and it looks like that we could be getting some decent acting and scenes the film then undercuts that moment with a bad joke and then the film undercuts alot of it's kills by doing the exact same thing which makes both tones feel at odds with each other and not really working with each other when they really should be working with each other and yet there not which does make it feel like this film was meant to be a more serious film before the film underwent reshoots to add more scenes which did happen as they had been directed by the films writer Ron Oliver.

For those of you that don't know this film is quite literally a sequel in name only as it originally started life as a film called The Haunting Of Hamilton High with the film only becoming a Prom Night sequel after it's Canadian production company Simcom renamed the film to Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II. With the film containing more elements from other horror films then it does Prom Night with the film being a weird mix of Carrie and A Nightmare On Elm Street which makes it feel like Slumber Party Massacre 2 which was a weird mix of The Slumber Party Massacre and A Nightmare On Elm Street even with both this film and Slumber Party Massacre 2 both having a greaser character appear in the film and heck the film does at times feel more like it's trying to be Carrie as both Vicki and Carrie could basically be the same character as both characters get supernatural powers , both characters have an over protective religious mother figure and both films feature a prom sequence where the main character goes on a killing spree but then this film adds in elements from both The Exorcist and A Nightmare On Elm Street as well all of which make this film feel this weird hodge podge of horror films that make it loose whatever identity it could have had an yet also oddly enough give it it's own unique identity as well.

Say what you will about the film as a whole but at the very least it did create an entertaining villain in Mary Lou Maloney. Who is a truly entertaining villain with her just not caring about what the other characters thunk of her and is perfectly willing to do whatever it is that she wants just because she do and ironically if Billy had let her be the prom queen back in the fifties then chances are that her popularity would have all but vanished and she would have been the type of person who was only popular and well liked in high school and yet because of the fact that she was killed off before she became prom queen it means that she gets to live on infamy and this is something that the character both loves and hates as she's always wanted to be prom queen and that is something that does lead to some really entertaining with her character but at the same time tho she hates it as it means that she can't move on as it's something that she wants so much that she's pretty much been anchored to earth because of it and that is something that she does hate and while we don't get to see much of May Lou Maloney before she's killed of what little of her character that we do get to see of her character is enough to make an impression on us the audience but at the same time with her being such a good and entertaining character it really does highlight another problem as the rest of the characters aren't that memorable.

To give this film some credit it does get really creative with alot of it's scenes with alot of the transitions being really cool to see. Not only that but one of the mist creative scenes in this film is just so cool to see as we get to see Vicki get dragged into a chalkboard which then turns into liquid and all of it is done in camera which really does make you wonder how they did it because there's no way that they could have tipped the set without the shadow being cast from the chair not looking right and it's scenes like this and that beg those questions that make films worth watching as they just look so cool and they always make you wonder how they did it and while yes these days this scene would most likely all be done in CGI back in he late to mid eighties that would have been possible and so it would have to have been done practically which means that this scene looks just as good today as it's did back in the 1987 where as with CGI even good effects will look dated in five years time and while this film does have a few dated looking effects like the rocking horse does look a little bit to fake when it comes alive but when the film gets it right and does get really creative we end up with scenes like this one and it's scenes like this one that do make supernatural horror film really worth watching as this film does take full advantage of being a supernatural horror film.

Now then this film has / and an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty six minuets and forty two seconds. Which to be honest is a tad bit on the long side for this film as while the film does have more then interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time the film could have done with being a few minuets shorter as that would have allowed the film to be alot more focused then what it actually is and not spend a good chunk of it's running time with the characters trying to work out what we the audience already know is happening something which is made even more worse when you take into account that two of the characters that are trying to work what's happening with Vicki was actually there the night that May Lou Maloney was killed and that new Mary Lou Maloney really well as well which does make the whole mystery sub plot seem pointless and be something that could have very easily have been removed from the plot of the film and nothing that's actually important to the main plot of the film would have been lost as both characters could have integrated into the main plot which would have made alot more sense given there connection to the Mary Lou Maloney character but at the same time tho this film could have been a few minuets just to allow the chance for the films characters to become a bit more developed then what they already are but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films being some really creative kills for the most part as while yes we do get some kills that aren't that creative to look at like the one where the person is hung from the ceiling and then thrown out the window for no reason while it was a a really cool kill it's also not that creative of a kill either and it;s very easy to say that the best kill in the whole entire film is quite easily the locker room as we get to see Vicki now fully possessed by Mary Lou Maloney chase down one of her friends who then hides in a random locker only for Vicki to taunt her and then use her powers to squash the other two lockers into her which is just such a cool kill and it's one that's very in keeping with this films more over the top tone and it's very easy to see why this film is quite easily the best kill in the whole entire as it really is just that creative of a kill to watch not to mention the fact that the whole scene leading up to the kill it self is really entertaining and suspenseful so much so that you find yourself actually wanting the victim to make it alive as that's just how good that kill in this film really is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this is a really fun sequel even if it has quite literally nothing to do with the original film outside of the fact that they both just so happen to take place at the exact same school and that's really it but even so the original film was still the more better film despite the fact that the main villain of that film was a really bland character where as it's the opposite that's true for this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things tat are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really foes earn itself a grand old score of score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very film well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images really simply because Google Images actually really has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and really plus pretty much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City Film Review

Film reboots are sadly nothing new as they happen all there time but what is new is video game getting a reboot adaptation just a few years after the previous franchise ended it's run. While most remakes can be seen as being good heck one of them being Scarface is so popular that not alot of people know that it's a remake the same thing cannot be said for the film that i'm going to be talking about today as this film was forgotten about a week after it came out in 2021 and it's film that also got rather rightfully alot of hate when it was first being released as well and so then join me as I review the film that let's be real here all of those forgot was even a thing in the first place with the question being called simply just "Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City" enjoy.

The plot of this film is several years after escaping an orphanage Claire Redfield finds herself back in Raccoon City and looking for her brother Chris only to be caught up in a Zombie out break that both she and a bunch of other survivors have to try and survive. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about thew actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I inn all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the exact same time tho the plot of this film really isn't all that good either with it being the kind of plot that you'd expect to find in a really low budget zombie horror film only with none of the charm that makes a plot like this one work in the first place and while the plot of this film does get some credit for being more faithful to the plot of the fist game what might work in a game might noy always work out well when it comes to the movie version and as a result of that is the fact that we end up with a plot that really isn't that good and that makes the plots of the previous Resident Evil live action films which weren't that good in the first place seem all the more better when there compared to the plot of this film with the plot of this film also being not really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield , Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield and Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine. Also starring in this film is Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker , Avan Jogia as Leon Kennedy , Donal Logue as Chief Irons , Neal McDonough as William Birkin , Lily Gao as Ada Wong , Chad Rook as Richard Aiken , Marina Mazepa as Lisa Trevor , Nathan Dales as Vickers , Josh Cruddas as Ben Bertolucci , Holly De Barros as Sherry Birkin , Janet Porter as Annette Birkin , Dylan Taylor as Kevin Dooley and Sammy Azero as Enrico Marini.

Now then  interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which for this film is a good thing as alot of things about this film are just straight up bad and while yes this films acting won't be on par with some of the best acting from the previous or even the animated films for that matter given the fact that this film has a bunch of very little known actors starring in it the acting that's in this very really could have been alot worse then what it actually ended up being part of that is due to the fact that this films actors are a bunch of really solid actors in there own right but some of it also goes to this films writer and director Johannes Roberts who really does know how to get a really good performance out of his actors with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it give none of this films cast absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does hurt the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film really is the true legends and the really greats that are currently over at Mr. X. Now the interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad however the issue is is that this films CGI isn't all that good either as while they do use for CGI in the right way by extended what was already there on the day of the filming and only using for things that you couldn't possibly do practically like with the doberman for example where half of it does look like a real dog and because of the fact that it would be wrong to put heavy makeup on a dog to make it look like a zombie they instead use CGI but it doesn't look all that good and granted they do mostly hide it in the dark but what little of it that you can see does look to be really cheap looking and this is true for all of this films CGI as well as alot of it does look cheap looking which granted is mostly due to the fact that this film really did have a really small budget production budget and as a result of that is the fact that this films effects budget would have been really small as well and thus of course of the CGI will come across as looking cheap looking but at the same time it really is telling when effects from the earlier movies look better then the effects that are in this very movie.

Say what you will about the Paul W. S. Anderson series of Resident Evil but at least those films even when there at there worst were at the very least entertaining to watch. Where as the same thing cannot be said for this film as this film is just flat out boring to watch and is not even bad in a way that makes it entertaining either it's just flat out as while this film is more true to the game it's not a good representation of the first game as there's nothing interesting in this film be it from a plot point of view or a character point of view that make this film worth watching as it's clear as freaking day from the first shot of the film that no one involved with the making of this film has not only ever played the Resident Evil games let alone been a fan of them because if they were a fan of the games then they'd make some actual effort to make this film at least somewhat entertaing something which was done with ease with the Paul W.S. Anderson as even tho alot of those films just straight up weren't that good you could at least tell that he was a fan of the games so much so that even admitted to playing them for hours at a time so he knew to make those movies entertaing to watch where as the same thing cannot be said for this films writer and director Johannes Roberts who despite putting the effort more on the horror aspect of the film failed to make a film that people will actually like and the fact that this film seems to be forgotten about proves that the makers of this film really didn't care because if they did care then people would not only like this film lot more then what they already do but this film would still be talked about three years after it's release.

This film does try to give us interesting characters but it fails to do so because of the fact that all of this films just aren't that good and aren't that interesting in the first place. With both Claire and Chris having next to nothing personality wise with Claire being a slightly headstrong character except when she's not and Chris being a somewhat competent cop except when he's not but they get the golden treatment as when it comes to all of the other characters none of them are nothing like they were in the video games with Albert Wesker now not being the cool bad guy that you love to hate but is now one of the heroes for no reason whatsoever and Leon goes from being this cool spy type of character who can do everything and pull of everything that he wants to now being someone who can do nothing all for no reason whatsoever both of which ate things that go against the ideas behind both characters and Jill doesn't get much in the way of personality either her being there just for the sake of being there with her character being robbed of anything that made her at least somewhat likable in the previous films and now being replaced with nothing all of which leaves us the audience with characters that aren't that interesting and leaves them in a film that's not that interesting nor entertaining either and while yes there some good moments in this film and some good ideas in this film those are very few and far between.

To give this film at least some sort of credit it does a good job of showing us the relationship between Leon and Claire. With the two of them going from strangers who don't know each other to friends who even tho they have no choice but to trust each other as they have to survive a zombie attack the fact that they do so does course a bond to form between one which we know in the games does last for years and years and that is something that's handled really well in this film but at the same time the relationship between Claire and her brother Chris Redfield isn't built up all that well at all and heck if you didn't play the games and watch the other films it would be very easy for newcomers to this franchise not to pick up on the fact that they are related as it's something that's not built up upon at all in this film and heck the first time thar they meet back Christ acts somewhat like an antagonist towards Claire something that a brother would never do to his sister even if they are estranged from each other or not and yet it's something that this films versions of the characters have no problem and this is something that really doesn't work as these two characters are meant to really care for each and yet they very rarely if ever show any kind of affection towards each other and heck Claire shows more affection towards Leon then she does Christ but when the Claire and Chris do show affection towards each other it is something that makes this film actually feel like a Resident Evil film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty seven minuets and forty two seconds. Which for this film is a tad bit on the long side as even the film really does more then enough plot to really cover that amount of running time at the same time tho this film really could have done with being a little bit longer as that would allow for the rules of his world that the film takes place in to be fully fleshed out and and for the films characters to to be fleshed out alot more then what they are now and that would mean that the characters would get the chance to display at least some form of a personality treat which is something that really go a long way to help make these characters appear to be at least somewhat likeable something that really isn't the case in the final cut of film and given that the fact that this films running time is one of the short side of things it means that the film can't set up it's characters , it's world and still tell a good story and as a result of that is the fact that we do get a film that does feel really undercooked even at the best of times and as a result of that is the fact that all of the films ideas can't be as developed as they would have been if the film was even five or perhaps even ten minuets longer then what it actually is but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual scares that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As the film does have some really creepy looking creatures but at the same time tho all of this films scares just boil down to jump scares which are fine every now and then but when the entire film is made up of jump scares that even that well built up then all it does is make this films very few actual scares seem boring and predictable because of the fact that you can see them coming a mile away and as a result of that is the fact that we get scares that on paper should have been good but because of the fact that we can see them coming a mile away they don't work as well as they perhaps should have done and while yes this film will always get credit for at the very least trying to take this franchise back to it's horror routes it still needed to create good scares and give us things that are actually scary and while the previous films didn't focus on the horror aspect of the franchise as the films went on when they did do something scary they at least tried to build up really well to that jimp scare something that isn't the case with this film in anyway whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall it's not hard to see why this film is forgotten as it's bad example of how to do a video game movie and feels like a video game that would have been better off if it was made in the nineties as it's just that bad of a video game movie that it would have been right at home with something like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation then it does now when we've had much more better video game movies in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of images that I personally used in this very review from the official Resident Evil fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images really simply because the official Resident Evil fandom wiki page actually really has images from this film really are up and on the official Resident Evil fandom wiki page and really plus pretty  much all of the images that I personally found on the official Resident Evil fandom wiki page really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

Sequels to hit films are a given how they usually come out within a few years of the original film coming out. The same thing cannot be said for this film as this film came out over thirty years after the release of the original film and while there have been attempts to get a sequel film made going as far back as the nineties it's now finally where and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that proves that the ghost with the most really is indeed back with the film in question being called simply just "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" enjoy.

The plot of this film is thirty five years after the events of the first film Lydia is brought back to Winter River along with her daughter , her mother and her boyfriend and has to content with Beetlejuice who this time has some problems of his own. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with the plot of the film being as delightfully simple as it was back in the first film with this being helped by the fact that this really isn't the kind of film that really demands a complicated plot as all you need is a basic plot to make it enjoyable and that's exactly what the plot of this film is and because of that is the fact that the plot could also be seen as a throwback to other eighties films as alot of films back in the eighties also had some really basic and really simply plots to them as well with alot of those films also being classics because of that fact with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice , Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz. Also starring in this film is Jenna Ortega as Astrid Deetz , Justin Theroux as Rory , Arthur Conti as Jeremy Frazier , Willem Dafoe as Wolf Jackson , Burn Gorman as Father Damien , Amy Nuttall as Jane Butterfield Jr. , Santiago Cabrera as Richard , Nick Kellington as Bob and Monica Bellucci as Delores.

Now then interms of what I personally thought . felt about thew actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With al of the actors that you expect a really good performance from really delivering in this very film the likes of Michael Keaton , Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara all really easily stepping back into their roles as if they were just playing them last year and all three of them really do have some really good chemistry but that's not to say that the new cast are bad because there really not as all of this films new actors are also really good with this films producer ad director Tim Burton really knowing how to direct his cast and how to get a good performance out of his actors with the acting that's in this very film really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors really have to do is just say the pines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is the true legends and the really greats that are currently over at Framestore. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with the film not really having that much CGI in it with the film instead making great use of stop motion animation for all of it's effects similar to what was done in the first film and in that regard that does make the effects in this film feel like that they really do belong in this series and while the film does have very limited CGI effects in it what little CGI the film does have not only looks really good but also looks alot better then what it really had any right to as by all rights the CGI that's in this film really shouldn't have been that good and nobody would have blamed the makers of this film if they chose not to include some good CGI but no this films CGI looks just as good as this films stop motion effects do with the film also having some really good looking stop motion effects in it with the stop motion looking just as good as it did in the first film.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

For some strange reason alot of recent actually good movies seem to use songs in really good ways with Deadpool & Wolverine of course using Nysnc's Bye Bye Bye. With this film making some really good use of The Bee Gee's Tragedy of all things which was such a fun little scene that it really did work for this film and was such a really funny moment in the film but at the same time this is also a really weird trend that's started to prop up very recently and it makes you wonder whatever film franchises will return and make good use of a long forgotten song and while it could be argued that the first Beetlejuice film technically started this trend thanks to the use of Day O and as such it really does feel right that this film would use another long forgotten version of a rally popular song it's still to see two movies based off of very popular characters both come out in the exact same year and both of them use some really good songs in some really fun and funny ways and out of the two songs it's Tragedy that does feel like it's better suited to the film as that song does feel like that it belongs in a film like this one where as Bye Bye Bye feels like it's saying goodbye to nothing but really both songs are still used really well in both films.

In what was a rather shocking move this film does actually kill of Delia Deetz and they don't go back on it either she stays dead. This was such a bold move as she was a minor character in the first film and yet was still made a main character inn this film and as aa result of that is the fact that the makers of the film really didn't gave to go that far and have her character killed of in this film in a way that's fitting for her character but what makes her death fun isn't how she dies but it's the fact that she refuses to accept that she's dead which is just such a fun idea as it's something that's fitting for her character as her character would believe that her death was a mistake and that she had more to do in life and so to see her act like that in this film is a really fun idea and while she does get to meet up with her recently deceased husband Charles who does appear in the film in a rather unique and oddly gory way it's still fun to see this character very slowly be forced to come t the terms with the fact that she's dead even tho she has a huge ego and her ego would just never accept that fact with out all f the proof in the world something which she does get due to the fact that she's in the after life legally while Lydia and Beetlejuice are there illegally to save Lydia's daughter Astrid from having her soul taken by someone who wants her body to live again.

There are a few down sides to this film tho like the fact that Astrid really isn't all that likable as a character with her coming across as more unlikable version of Lydia only without any of the charm that made Lydia a likeable character in the first place. With the other bad thing about this film is the fact that the subplot with Delores not really being being that fully developed and heck the character barely even talks in the film with her maybe getting a paragraph in total lines of the film and even then alot of her lines are just her asking people where Beetlejuice is and that's really it which isn't enough to make the character seem justified as being in the film as on paper the character really could have worked and her plot with her trying to find Beetlejuice could have been interesting if it had some actual stakes to it and wasn't just featured as something that's shoehorned into the film for little to no reason because as things stand if her plot and her character was removed from the film nothing of actual importance would actually be lost from the film as it's just there just so Tim Burton can put Monica Bellucci in a film and that's rally it and that's not a good enough reason as you can have the best actor a film but you still to justify the reason as to why there character is included in the film in the first place.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty seven seconds and fifty eight seconds. Which is a really solid running time for this film to have as this film really does have more then enough there interms of plot to really cover that large amount of running time but at the same time tho alot of what the film does feature could have been cut out from the film and other aspects of the film could have been expanded upon like the fact that the relationship between Astrid and Lydia could have been more developed as in the final cut of the film it just comes across as Astrid hating Lydia for no reason whatsoever with them coming back together even feeling rushed in parts as well and all f this was because of the fact that the film had to squeeze in the whole Delores Monica Bellucci subplot when that's something that really didn't need to be in the film as much as it was as that's not something that adds anything to the overall plot of the film and as is there just to be nothing more then filler and nothing more then that with the film giving us more focus on something that doesn't need to be focused upon and giving us less focus on something that really should have been the main focus of the film but I will ad it that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a comedy that means that I gave to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well the in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this film alot of painfully funny laugh out loud moments in it and it's during this films more comedic moments that allows Micheal Keaton to once again truly shine as Beetlejuice as he really does get alot of the film painfully funny moments with the film even having it's own version of the Day O scene only this film it's involving Lydia , Astrid and Delia as well as Beetlejuice miming to the song MacArthur Park by Richard Harris and it's such a painfully funny scene that it makes what could gave bee a really boring sequence seem all the more fun as by paper the wedding scene could have been a really boring and predictable scene and yet because of the fact that they added alot of random humor in that scene it seems all the more entertaining then what it really could have ended up being and it really does show that Tim Burton still really does know how to make people laugh something which is true with alot of the scene that are in this very film as this film is just that good and is just all that funny in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this film is so much fun and it's one that alot of people really should go and watch one the biggest screen possible as it really is worth it as it's a film that more the lives up to the legacy to the first one and it really does prove that Tim Burton can still make a good movie when he really wants to in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page , the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images really simply because the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page actually really has images from this film really are up and on the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page and really plus pretty  much all of the images that I personally found on the official Beetlejuice fandom wiki page really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.
