It Follows Film Review

Horror fans there are alot of mainstream horror films out there and while it's good to watch one of those every once in a while sometimes what you crave the most is an indie horror film. Which as luck would have it I just so happen to own a really good horror indie film on DVD so then join me as i review what is quite possibly the absolutely scariest indie horror film ever made with the film in question being called simply just "It Follows" enjoy.

The plot of this film is young girl by the name of Jay finds herself the target of supernatural entity that will only stop stalking her when she's dead and so then it's up Jay and all of her friends to put a stop to this supernatural entity before it's far to freaking late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking good with this films main storyline being genuinely rather freaking refreshing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Maika Monroe as Jaime "Jay" Height , Keir Gilchrist as Paul Bolduan and Daniel Zovatto as Greg Hannigan. Also starring in this film is Jake Weary as Hugh / Jeff Redmond , Olivia Luccardi as Yara Davis , Lili Sepe as Kelly Height , Bailey Spry as Annie Marshall , Debbie Williams as Mrs. Height , Ruby Harris as Mrs. Redmond , Leisa Pulido as Mrs. Hannigan and Ele Bardha as Mr. Height.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking good. With all of this films teenaged cast members really doing a good at portraying their respective characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film has a cool looking opening one long take shot which I just love simply due to the fact that's a really hard shot to pull of. Since you need to cue several people at several different times and those can't afford to mess up since if they miss there cue or if they mess up a line of dialog the entire shot has to start over again from the very beginning and so it's always impressive to see a film pull of one of these shots in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is one of the very few films that actually requires you to pay attention as to what's actually going on in the background. This is because any of the background characters are acting as the current embodiment of this films main villain and so then you have to keep an eye out on all of the background characters because you never freaking know which one of them is going to be freaking stalking Jay next and that is always going to be a very freaking super creepy thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Not really helping this film is the fact that we don't really get to find out literally anything about any of our main cast of characters. As such all of our main cast of characters just come across as being very one dimensional characters whom just so happen to have very little to no personality trait whatsoever which doesn't give us any character to form any connections to in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also not really helping this film is the fact this film does tend to drag on quite a bit with there being quite a few scenes that add up to nothing in the grand scheme of things. This is a shame because when the film does get back to it's actual plot it's gets to be quite entertaining very quickly it's just a shame then that this film has quite alot of scenes that really didn't need to be in this very film as they add nothing to over all plot of the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films exact grand total running time was I do know for a fact that this film had / has an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and thirty six minuets. Which is a bit of an issue since this film didn't need to be any longer then one hour and thirty minuets but at the exact same time tho when this film does get going it really does just fly by tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is a horror film after all that means that we have to actually talk about the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty. Really freaking good with this film being genuinely quite scary and what makes this film really scary for me at least is the fact that it does a good job of building up tension which is something that very sadly not alot of horror nowadays take the time to actually do in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a really good indie supernatural horror film and as someone whom really doesn't like supernatural horror films all that much for me to say that this is a good film really does mean something in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review which means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film up on Google Images and pus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always do with our ne and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams.
