Fairest Of Them All Film Review

We've been seeing a huge amount of horror films be released where the main villain is a popular kids cartoon character. A trend which sadly shows no signs of slowing down and just a few days after we've had one with Mickey Mouse as the main villain we now have one with several classic Disney Princesses as the main heroes and so then join me as I review the film that bits several Disney Princesses against each other with the film in question being called simply just "Fairest Of Them All" enjoy.

The plot of the film is when several Princesses all with magical powers are kidnapped by The Mad Hatter they just find away to escape from his grasp once and for all. Now then interns of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very fil was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho this films plot wasn't all that good either as while yes granted this is an original plot which is something that's new for these films but it's also a plot that not only isn't focused on all that much when the film does focus on it they usually add noting to it thus making it feel like a rather underdeveloped plot as well which does make this films plot feel like a waste of a good idea as on paper this is plot that could work as it has all of the potential there to be a really good film but for once reason or another the makers of this film just aren't that bothered in developing it's main plot with the film instead putting alot more focus on the fact that it's got several characters in it that are all either Disney Princesses or Disney Characters which does make this films plot feel more like an afterthought rather then the main focus but the film does get credit for at the very least trying to do something new original it just needed to develop it's plot alot more to make it a plot that's all the more good with the plot of this film not really being really rather entertaining and as well as not really being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Tim Cullingworth-Hudson as Prince Stephen , Andre D'Cruz as Boris and Alina Desmond as Alice. Also starring in this film is Cherry Fox as Georgia / Ariel , Vera Luisa as Ms. Terrycoat , Ivy Elizabeth Orlebar as Desmond , Danielle Ronald as Snow White , Kelly Rian Sanson as Cinderella , Lewis Santer as The Mad Hatter , Danielle Scott as Sleeping Beauty , Mark Sears as The Beast , Tommo Thomas as Norris , Natasha Tosini as Belle , Erand as Peter Pan , Tyler Winchcombe as Prince Raymond and Chrissie Wunna as The Fairygodmother.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty about as bad as you'd think it would be. As none of these films have that good acting in it and while yes this film does have some decent performances in it alot of the time the film is just filled to the brim with bad acting all over the place which is to be expected given that this film was written by the same writer as Mouseboat Massacre and even has some of the same actors with Natasha Tosini starring in both films and while her performance in this film isn't that bad it's not as good as her performance in Mouseboat Massacre was as at least then you could tell that she was trying to have fun in the role where as here she just seems bored half the time and like she wants to be quite literally anywhere else the rest of the time with the films best actors being both Danielle Scott as Sleeping Beauty and Lewis Santer as The Mad Hatter as both of them play them as these really messed up characters and turn in these really over the top and fun filled performances because of it with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does help to lower the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

This film has alot of characters from other Disney movies with all but one of them retaining their original name as all throughout the film they refer to Ariel as Georgia and yet in the films own closing credits they credit her as Ariel. Which is just super odd as while yes the original character of The Little Mermaid was never named in the original book everybody who knows that character is going to know her as Ariel with her character being the most annoying character in the movie as all she does is sing and scream and that's it that's her entire character as for no reason whatsoever she can't use her voice to talk and just having her sing and scream all of the time makes her really annoying with alot of the characters not even having anything that makes them feel close to either there original Disney counterpart or there original book counterpart either with the only thing that connects them to their source materials is the fact that they all have magical powers for no reason with that power being something that links them to there original source material like for example Belle can transform into a beast and much like how Snow White convinced animals to help her out in the original Disney film this films version of Snow White can convince people to kill themselves in gruesome manners and while having these powers is a great little touch to add to the characters they also tell us nothing about them with all of this films characters feeling shallow and one note so much so that it was hard to tell just who the man character of this film was even meant to be as it switches between Alice and Cinderella for no reason whatsoever.

On this films own official IMDB page it has the film as being described as a mixture between Battle Royale and The Hunger Games. This is a lie as if anything it's more like any single Disney Princess movie crossed with Fight Club as the film doesn't feature the characters running out into the woods fighting to survive being killed all the while a huge government watches over them as instead all of the main fights are done in these small rooms and given the fact that The Hunger Games ripped off Battle Royale saying that this film is like both of those movies is just dumb as all that does is make you think that your going to be getting this blood hungry fight between several characters at once when in truth every single fight is one on one and is usually pretty predictable as they all end the exact same way with one of the Princesses using their powers to defeat the other one after first trying to take them down in a normal fight but this is something that could have worked as doing a film that's actually like The Hunger Games but it's now filled with Disney Princesses could work and it is a solid idea but it would actually require a huge budget to pull it off and that's something that this film sadly doesn't have which is most likely why they went the Fight Club route and kept the fights one on one and in small room locations which if that is the case then why would you flat lie on your own IMDB page as all that does is build up audiences expectations for something that there never going to get while being truthful yes will make the film sound less epic but it will also get the audience more ready for what's actually in the film rather then what they want to be in the film instead.

For some reason this films production company August Bound Productions have chosen not only to put this film up on Youtube for FREE but also on Tubi as well. Which they've also done with another one of their movies this time a Peter Pan themed horror movie called Hook so all you have to do to watch this movie legally for free is go to CineNet's Youtube Channel and you can find this movie and more for free which is just pointless as they could have made some small amount of money by releasing this film and all of their films via direct to DVD and while selling the streaming rights to Tubi does make sense as again they can make there money back on the movie that way it also doesn't make sense when people can just go on to Youtube and watch the movie for free with little to know ad's on as all your doing is just killing your own business by putting the movie up somewhere for free and while yes grated this film is never going to make that much money in the first place the same thing co8ld also be said all of these horror movies and yet they all found ways that would make them money without hurting them in the long run as while putting the movie up for free on Youtube is great in the short term but in the long term it's going to do you more harm then good as afterall who would want to pay to see a movie when you can just watch it for free on Youtube that's the business model August Bound Productions currently has and it's not one that's going to sustain them for very long as there's only so long that you can keep on pumping out these movies with the same writer as both this film , Mouseboat Massacre and Hook all have the same very limited talent writer writing them.

While it is understandable for a film to have some flashbacks in it this film on the other hand overdoes it by having several flashbacks happen right after the other. With all of them just detailing the exact same thing of how that Princess or character in the case of Tinker Bell is kidnapped by The Mad Hatter and that's really it and that's not something that we needed to see happen several times in a row as just showing us the once would have been more then enough and heck they could have just shown us how he kidnapped Cinderella and no other character as that then would make it pretty clear that she's the main character of the movie but because of the fa t that the film just has to pad out it's already small running time it means that we get to see how a good chunk of the characters where kidnapped by the same character which just doesn't work as all it does is make the film more boring then already is as it becomes crystal clear that all your doing is padding out your running time by showing us things that don't need to be shown in the movie especially since all your showing is just telling us the exact same piece of information that you've just told us and while it might have worked if any of these flashbacks told us quite literally anything about any of this films characters they don't which makes them feel all the more pointless and useless then what the already are as right now all they do is feel like that there are padding when truth be told this film doesn't need padding out as the film could very easily reach it's running time without having several flashbacks in a row all happen as all it would have to do is flesh certain things and that's really it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fourteen minuets and four seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have with this film not even having the right amount of plot there to cover that amount of running time as the film doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the film doesn't take the time that it really did need to do in order to fully develop it's plot it's characters as the films plot is at best thin so much so that it was hard at time to work out just what the plot of the film was even meant to be at times and the films characters are just there to be killed off by The Mad Hatter and that's it and both of these are things that could have been fixed if the film had a longer running time and more thought put into it as well as then the film could have taken the time that it needed to fully develop it's plot to the point where you care about what happens next and the it could then take the time to fully develop it's characters which would then have the add on affect of making us the audience care about the characters and want to actually see them make it out of this film alive and well but since the film thought that it needed to have several pointless flashbacks that means that screen time that could have been used to develop it's plot and characters are now no longer there as it's now being eaten up by a pointless scene that adds nothing to either the plot of the film or the films characters as heck we don't even get to find out anything about The Mad Hatter either which makes him look a weak villain as well but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. As while they weren't as creative as they could have been given the fact that the all of the characters have some sort of magical power to them they are alot more better then what they could have been as by all rights this films could have been really bad and yet due to the fact that the characters do have magic powers that does mean that the kills can be alot more creative but at the same time tho it's hard to say just what the best kill of this film is in the first place as all of this films kills just aren't that good to watch with all of them being alot more tamer then what they could have been as de to the fact this version of The Mad Hatter is completely insane it would have made sense for him to do alot more gory kills then what it he does do but at the same time tho that is something that would have been stretching this film really small budget even smaller then what it already is but at the same time tho when The Mad Hatter does go for the more gory kill it is something that does feel true to his character to do so with her kill being a good example of not only how insane this version of The Mad Hatter is but also just ow dull alot of this films are as this film doesn't have that many stand out kills in it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall to say that this film is bad would be a huge understatement because this film is just flat out bad and not bad in a way that it becomes good again rather it's just flat out bad and while the film isn't unwatchable to say the least it is a film that I wouldn't recommend anyone to watch as that's just how bad that this film is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 3.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very revie well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official The Hunger Games fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

They Call Her Death Film Review

Like it or not if you want to see something that's a bit more daring these days you have to look at the smaller studios as the bigger ones are just doing what's popular at the minuet. With this film being released a smaller indie studio you all know that it's not going to be like anything that the more major bigger studios including yes A24 Pictures would dare to put out there and so then join me as I review the film that is a mixture of Terror Of The Prairie and oddly enough Planet Terror with the film in question being called simply just "They Call Her Death" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when she believes that her husband was killed in cold blood a young widow in the old west sets out to find who really killed her husband and exact her own kind of vengeance. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty so fresh and new and exciting as this is plot that really hasn't been done all that often which is something that does make it feel new every single time that a film fares to use this kind of story as usually it's the husband that's out for revenge and yet here just by reversing the roles it makes it appear to be new all over again and while yes granted the films plot is a tad bit on the simple side this is something that does work well enough in the films favor as not every single film out there needs to have a deep and dark plot as sometimes having one that's alot more simpler and easier to follow works just as well and that is very much the case with this films plot with the only thing that lets this film down from a plot point of view being the fact that the films plot isn't well developed with the film putting more effort onto the copious amounts of gore that they have appear every few minuets then it does in creating an actually good plot with this films plot feeling secondary to the films gore with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Sheri Rippel as Molly Pray , Jeff Boyer as Frank Jaroo and Devan R. Garcia as Diego. Also starring in this film is Shawn Nyberg as JM Winter , DanĂ© Shobe as Bosley Turner , Patrick Poe as Thomas Pray , Jason Puff as Leigh Murphy , Dylan B. Hart as Tex , Carmen Anello as Maggie , Dusty Nichols as Luther , Alex Laughlin as Fat Jack , Sam Tady as A Wagon Driver and A Partygoer , Sri Donepudi as A Traveling Woman , Abigail Musick as Death , One of this films Production Assistant's Kelly Rippel as An Assassin , Gregor Hunt as Denver , Kirby Whitt as Politician 2 , Jeremy Walter as Politician 1 , Joseph Wasinger as George Cartwright  Moonshine Mantell as The Groundskeeper and this films producer and visual effects artists , graphic designer , props and set decorated Adam Jeffers as Fudginald Gutts.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that he actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot more better then what it really had any right to be. As by all rights with a film like this one it really should have had alot of really bad acting and while yes granted this films acting can be pretty bad at times on the whole the film does have some really good acting in it as well with it being clear as day that this films actors know full well what kind of film that there in and are therefor just having the best time that they possibly could have done in this film and while yes some of them still don't turn in that good of a performance like the fact that Dylan B. Hart still doesn't turn in that good a performance with the same thing also being true for alot of the actors that are playing the townsfolk in this film as alot of them overact but not in a way that makes there performance good rather it's in a way that makes it look like that they have no idea just what it is that there meant to be doing with this film best actor being the films main star Sheri Rippel as she makes her character of Mary Prey seem both heartless and yet at the same time not so heartless as well with the acting that's in this very film also being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this film actors have to do is just the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to rase the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

To be frank all of this films characters are pretty one note characters with all of them either being straight up evil or straight up the good guys of the films. Which is something that does both not work and yet at the exact same time also work really well for this film as well it works for this film in the regards of the fact that thus film is all about doing the more simple things hence why it has a more simple and easy to follow storyline to it as well with that kind of thinking also extending to it's characters but that's also the problem as by doing that it does also mean that we get characters that are very note and that aren't all that interesting as the film doesn't really give us a reason to care for Mary outside of the fact that she's the good guy and it doesn't give us a reason to care for any of this films villains outside of the fact that there the films main villains and that's really it and that is something that does lead to this films characters being dull characters as you know right away how each of the films characters are going to act and how there going to act when there talking to other similar characters as well and it could even be argued that some of this films characters are character tropes seen in other and better movies as well be it from the crooked Sheriff to the new Deputy who is just trying to do his best to even the films main character who has the one goal of getti9ng revenge for the death of a loved one all of these are character types that have been done better not only in other westerns but in other movies as a whole whereas with this film much like the plot they feel secondary to the films gore as that's where alot of the effort went and not into creating genuinely interesting and really well rounded characters.

As was mentioned at the start of this film this is film is like both Planet Terror and Terror On The Prairie. With the film being dine in that dirty and grimy grindhouse style which does suit the film and give the film a rather unique look to it and yet at the same time it's plot can at times be very similar to Terror On The Prairie as both films have widow who at somepoint in the film goes to seek revenge for the death of their husband and yet it's this film pulls of that plot line alot more better due to it's grindhouse nature and look as that then allow for the film to go to these really weird and over the top places which does in turn make the film alot more fun to watch as you never really know what it is that your going to get next and that is something that was also true with alot of grindhouse films as well as with any of them you never really knew just what it was that they were going to show you next and yet it was nearly always either weird or just flat out cool to see with the same thing also being true for this film as well as the film has alot of really cool imagery to it and much like with Planet Terror this films really does embrace the fact that it's a grindhouse film by having alot of the tropes that you would come to find in those films like missing scenes and having scratches appear on the film thus making the film look more run down and giving the film a look that makes it appear as if it was shot in the sixties and not something that was shot just a few years ago and again much like how the director of Planet Terror did alot of the behind the scenes work on that film this film also has that with Austin Snell who not only wrote , produced and directed the film but also filled in several key roles including being the films cinematographer as well with his vision for the film really coming through in something that is nothing more then a great throw back to not only western films but grindhouse films as well.

One of the films more weaker elements is the fact that it does try to have a mystery aspect going through it with the mystery being who really killed this person at the stat of the film. However it's quite clear right from the moment that this character first appears in the film who it is as they just look evil so much so that it actually would have worked well enough in this films favor if they actually had that character be a red herring and reveal that it was actually somebody else who did the films opening kill but nope they go right with the person that you think that it's going to be with it not even being helped by the fact that the film offers absolutely no clues as to who the real killer was even meant to be in the first place which makes the reveal all the perplexing as it does come out of nowhere this wouldn't be an issue if the the mystery wasn't a a key part of the films plot but given that it's this characters death that resulted in Mary's husband noy only getting killed in the first place but also being the one framed for this persons murder then there should have been alot more effort put into the mystery aspect of the film as that would added more of a reply value to the film as then we the audience could get to see just which characters are acting evil at certain points in the film but as the film doesn't do any of that then the films losses one of it's reasons for people to rewatch it as there sill will be people that will willingly rewatch this film just for how much gore that the film has in it but as mystery this films just not that good as it has mystery that's as deep as mystery from bad episode of Scooby-Doo Where Are You as that's just how bad the mystery aspect of this film really is.

This film is an action horror film with the film having plenty of both action and horror in it but there is one thing that does let the films action aspect down by quite alot. With that being the fact that the films sound effects just don't sound that heavy hitting with it sounding like that the characters are throwing lot of weak punches and kicks when having a sound that makes those punches and kicks sound alot more impactful would not only serve the film better but it will also make the films action alot more fun to watch as well as right now they are only just laughable to watch not only due to the weak sound effects but also because of the fact that you can see this films main actor Sheri Rippel not even connect with who it is that she's meant to be hitting alot of the time with it looking like that her opponents aren't getting hit at all but are instead just falling over because they feel like it with it also being true for alot of the films other actors as well and heck there's maybe one fight scene in this movie that actually looks good and even then it's mostly due to the fact that one of the people might be a pro wrestler and that's the end fight that Mary has with someone as even tho the sound effects don't do that fight any kind of justice you can still tell that the person that she's fighting with is actually connecting with alot of their hits thus making it appear as if Mary is getting hurt for real and that is something that does make me believe that the makers of this film did cast a pro wrestler in that nameless role as that's something that they would've been tought to in either in wrestling school or just from doing alot of wrestling shows and it's something that not only shows in the final product but also makes that very brief fight scene the best one in the whole entire movie and after just checking the films IMDB page once again it turns out that they did hire a pro wrestler for that scene with them hiring Ryan Greeness aka Moonshine Mantell to not only act in the film as The Groundskeeper but to also do the stunts for this film as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minuets and fifteen seconds. Which to be fair to this fil is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have with the film even having just the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time as well but at the same time to this film also really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely either as the plot of the film isn't as fully developed as it really could have been with it being hard at times to tell not only what the plot of the film was but also what the characters motivations where alot of the time as which granted is also true for alot of grindhouse films as well but at the same time tho those films knew to have some somewhat well developed characters in them to balance it out a bit more which is something that this film just doesn't have as none of the films feel that well developed as there more like cardboard cut outs of other characters rather then being there own unique thing with us the audience not even getting the chance to find out anything about these characters which does make it hard to connect to them in any sort of way be it to love them as the good guy or to boo them as the bad guy and when that doesn't happen then it doesn't matter how cool and how gory there deaths scenes are because us the audience will be left feeling nothing because of the fact that the makers of this film don't really give us a reason to care for any of this films characters but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the best aspect of this film. With all of this films kills being so good and so gory which granted won't be everyone's cup of tea but as this is a grindhouse type of film it really did make sense for the makers of this film to fully embrace that aspect of the film and that did mean going to those over the top places with the films gore and while yes the fact that the film does have alot more effort put into it's gore then it does either the acting or the plot when the kills are this over the top and this gory it more then makes up for it with the best kill in the whole entire movie being when Mary just straight up stabs a guy and then pulls out his intestine all the while he's just bleeding out all over her with that kill being her first kill of the movie and while none of the films kills get as over the top as that one does that one kill is more then enough to let you know just what kind of a film that your in for as alot of the films kills have alot of really good looking gore and blood effects in them with as far as I can tell all of the films blood and gore being practical effects which makes them look all the more impressive as even tho it's a small thing it is something that really does sell you on just how violent that this film is and that's something that makes all of this films kills all the more impressive in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall if you haven't done go and track down a copy of this film as even if you don't like action films you'll love the kills and if you don't love the kills then you'll love the films action as either way this film is one fun filled film that is alot more better then what it really had any kind of right to be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well a all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and a such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images.

Mouseboat Massacre Film Review

Why is it now a thing to make horror films where Mickey Mouse is the main villain as while yes granted he is the public domain but there's only so long that you can keep making movies with him as the main horror villain before the novelty starts to wear off. Which is something that's happening alot more sooner then later as every indie filmmaker under the sun are making horror movies with Disney icon being the main villain with the latest one having dropped about a few days ago now and since i've reviewed quite literally all of the others that have been released and shall continue to do so it makes sense that I review this film as well and so then join me as I review the film tries to blend in elements from The Ring and the Evil Dead remake for no apparent reason whatsoever with the film in question being called simply just "Mouseboat Massacre" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a family head to a lake house to help with getting one member of their family off of drugs they find themselves being targeted by killer known only as The Mouse. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really bad as it not only rip off plot elements from The Ring with the killer only being unleashed after one of them watches a video tape but the whole escaping to a cabin inn the woods idea to get someone off of drugs is ripped right off of the 2013 Evil Dead remake and for extra measure they also rip off elements from Friday The 13th: The New Blood only this film doesn't understand what it was that made those elements work for well in those films with this films plot coming across as being generic and by the numbers as you can tell right away how this films plot is going to go and really it goes the exact same way that you think that it will go as that's just how predictable that this films plot is as it had nothing new or even the slightest bit original to it that makes this films plot standout from all of the other Mickey Mouse themed horror films that are out there right now with it hitting all of the plot beats that you think that's going to it and because of that it comes across as being dull boring and predictable as well with the plot of this film not even being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Kathi DeCouto as Connie , Joseph Emms as Nigel Jackson and Keith Eyles as Stu Jackson. Also starring in this film is Lauren Leppard as Mimi Jackson , Atlanta Moreno as Phoenix , Shayli Reagan as Sarah ,Victor Rios as Simon , Sam Rowlands as A Policeman , Mouse Of Horrors and Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey star Natasha Tosini as Blaire Jackson , Iveta Drulyte as Helen Jackson and Jay Robertson as The Mouse.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not as bad as it could have been. As by all rights this films acting should have stunk to the high heavens as not only do these kinds of films typically have bad acting in them anyway but all of this films actors are a bunch of really unknown actors and therefor it could have been foolish to expect good performances from the in the first place and that's exactly what we get as all of this films actors turn in some decent performances in this film and while this films acting will never win any kind of awards it was never going to do due to how bad that this film was in the first place with this films best actor being Lauren Leppard as Mimi Jackson as she has to play a character who constantly on edge all throughout the film and then switch it up when she starts getting these visions of her family members and her therapist being brutally murdered which only adds to the stress that the character is already going through in the first place and to be Lauren Leppard does play the character really well with her scene with her father Keith Eyles being the best acted scene in the whole movie and while Jay Robertson does look rather impressive as The Mouse as he is quite a tall person which does make the character look physically imposing he just doesn't have the acting skills needed to pull the character off with the acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does harm the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Even tho this this film has pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have. The makers of this film thought that it would be a very good idea to have the films opening prolog be a whopping seven minuets long which if this film was alot more nearer two hours wouldn't be an issue as you still have a good chunk of film in which you can still fully develop all of your character and the plot of the film however this film isn't even one hour and thirty minuets long and so those seven minuets is time that could have been better used in fully developing the films plot and characters except now it's being spent on a prolog that has very little to know impact on the plot of the main film as all it is is showing us three characters getting killed and that's really it and while there deaths are referenced later on in the film as well that still doesn't justify the prolog being that long as you still could have gotten across all of the information that you needed to in about three to four minuets just by having one character be killed with the others killed off screen as the only real reason for these films to have a prolog is to get to the killer alot more quicker so it wouldn't really matter if we had a few off screen deaths at the start of the movie regardless and yet for some odd reason the makers of this film thought that it was a good idea to devote that long time to characters that we are never going to see again in the main body of the film when that's time that should have been spent in developing the plot of the film and the films characters as those are two most important things that you need in order to make an actually good film.

It doesn't really need saying who the main villain of this film as you can tell right from the films poster just who it is. As yes it's one again Mickey Mouse and to be frank it's getting dull seeing all of these Mickey Mouse themed horror movie come out in such a short space of time and what makes this worse is the fact that the indie filmmakers are going to keeping on making them because of the fact that there cheap and easy to make and while every once in a while you get a Screamboat where that the films version of Mickey Mouse still acts like his cartoon counterpart only now it's done with a more sinister edge to it you nine times out of ten get films like this where the only reason for the film being made is the fact that they have a beloved cartoon character killing people with it once again being made clear as day that that's where all of the effort goes when films as bad as this one come out as there's very little redeeming qualities about this film as even there version of Mickey Mouse acts nothing like him outside of the fact that he's wearing a mouse mask and lives on a boat and that's really it and while the idea of him living on a boat is a good idea that the film does use near the end it's really only there because of the fact that the only Mickey Mouse cartoon to enter the public domain is Steamboat Willie and that's really it as the boat adds nothing to the film so much so that you could remove the idea of him living on a boat from the film entirely and nothing that's actually important to the plot of the film would be lost as it has no impact on the film as a whole but credit where it's due this films version of the Mickey Mouse character does look good grated he's just wearing a mouse mask and some overalls but it is still a good look and one that does suit this version of the character.

As was mention at the start of this review this film borrows elements from other and quite frankly better horror films. Which does make the makers of this film seem quite lazy which is something that does make alot of sense as the writer of this film is also the same person that co-wrote the so bad that it's good Mikey Mouse horror themed movie Mouse Of Horrors Harry Boxley with him even writing the pretty average Popeye's Revenge as well so it's safe to say that his guy has really found his niche in writing bad horror movies where the sole selling point is the fact that the killer is a beloved kids cartoon character and yet even tho there still needs to be something original in the film as even Mouse Of Horrors had an original setting to it so this writer can come up with original elements but for one reason or another he just chooses not to which is something that does make him seem like a lazy writer but to be fair tho he is working on alot of movies as the main writer for them and so there are going to be times where we get nothing new or original followed by one maybe two films where the premise is an original idea with this film being one of the few times where he just couldn't come up with an original idea and so he just went with what he knew worked in the past but in doing so he's quite clearly showing that he has no idea what it was that made those ideas work so well in the first place as the idea of having a killer video tape be linked to the killer worked in The Ring because it meant that no matter how far you ran the killer will still get you thus making the killer this unstoppable force of nature and the idea of having someone have these visions worked in Friday The 13th: The New Blood worked because it gave Jason a unique hero to up against and the idea of going to a cabin in the woods to help someone get off of something worked in Evil Dead 2013 worked because those characters were actually likable characters who were just trying to do their best for Mia and all of those things are missing from this film thus meaning that while the ideas are solid there lacking what it was that made them work so well in the first place.

To say that this films characters are bad would be a huge understatement as all of this films are badly written characters. With absolutely none of them having anything interesting about them whatsoever and while this films characters aren't the typical kind of characters that you'd usually find in a slasher film there also characters have nothing to them as none of them have any personality trait and all of them are just forgettable characters heck it would have a huge improvement if this film just copied and pasted characters tropes from and better horror films as that would at least sow that some effort went into this films characters but they didn't even do that with all of this films characters coming across as being very note with the parents coming across as only caring about Mimi as they just straight up ignore what there other kids are up to even when there eldest son Nigel is missing for hours they just don't do anything and assume that he's on a date with a girl that he met on the way up to the lake and they don't even bother talking to Blaire other then just to tell her not to let Mimi out of her room and that's it with even the dad just straight up yelling at the top of his lungs to Mimi the very kid that he's there to help get off of drugs with none of the kids fearing any better as both Blaire and Nigel have about as much personality as a blank wood and contribute nothing to the film other then being victims for The Mouse and that's really it with the only somewhat decently written character being our final girl Mimi as she has to try to convince her parents that there son is in serious danger which even tho they know that he's been missing for quite a while now still ignore her warnings for no good reason and even Mimi isn't that well written as she has no personality to her whatsoever and is only somewhat interesting noy because of the fact that she's written well or anything like that rather it's just because of the fact that she's the main character and that's really it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty two minuets and fifty one seconds. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect one of these films to have with this film having more then enough plot there to really cover that amount of running time however tho this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as it doesn't develop the plot at all and the same thing is also true for the films characters as none of them get any sort of character developed whatsoever with the plot of the film remaining as bare bones as it was every going to be and the characters basically just being there for the sake of being there and while we do get some backstory for The Mouse character it's oddly confusing as he was a mouse that wanted to be human after a scientist did some research on it to make it as tall as the average human being which they never explain why he's as tall as he is and nor do they explain why he seems to summoned whenever someone watches this one creepy and very badly done animated video either both of which are things that should have been explained as they would have added to the characters backstory but because the makers of this film thought that having a seven minuet long prolog in a film that's just over one hour and twenty minuets was a good idea we are now left characters that can't be that well developed as the film has to get to the next plot point quickly and the plot can't be that well developed because of the fact that there's a huge seven minuet long prolog at the start of the film with those seven minuet being time that could have been spent on either developing the plot of film or the films characters but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films kills being some of the best aspects of this film as alot of this films kills are some really creative kills that show alot of this films practical effects which is quite clearly where alot of this films budget went as the rest of the film looks bland and average but the films gore and practical effects actually look pretty decent with the best kill in the whole film being the kill when The Mouse uses a chainsaw to kill off Nigel as not only do we get a really impressive and creative kill out of it but we also get alot of gore out of it as well something that is also true for all of this films kills as well as there does seem to be alot of gore used in all of this films kills and while having some really impressive kills is indeed a step in the right direction for this film none of it means anything because of the fact that this film really doesn't give us the audience a chance to like any of it's characters and therefor we don't feel anything when they die and heck even the killer goes out in a weak way as well as he gets bludgeoned to death by Mimi and that's it which is a rather underwhelming death for this character to have and it's alot of the same thing for alot of this films kills as even tho the kills are decent and really creative because of the fact that the film doesn't give us a reason to care for any of it's characters us the audience don't feel anything when one of them does die in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of all of the Mickey Mouse based horror films that are out there this one is one of the worst ones but it's not the worst one tho as that honor goes to The Mouse Trap with this film still trying to be a decent film as there are some decent ideas in this film the issue is tho is that this film doesn't develop anything that it sets up which makes them feel rather undercooked and wasted in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now the  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does earn that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 4.5 out of 10 from me.

Now hen as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Disney fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images.

Fear Street: Prom Queen Film Review

For some odd reason the Fear Street films released back in 2021 really caught fire when they were released weekly on Netflix. As such there was some hype when it was announced that there would be a new film coming out and what's more this film is meant to be more based off of the book that the film takes it's title from and given that I haven't seen a single one of the original films or read any of the books I thought that i'd check this film to see if it's any good or not and so then join me as I review the film that is basically a more modern version of Prom Might with the film in question being called simply just "Fear Street: Prom Queen" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a masked killer starts killing off all of the candidates from Prom Queen it's up to prom queen candidate Megan Rogers to find out who is doing these crimes before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho this films plot wasn't in particularly all that good either with this films plot feeling like the stereotypical eighties slasher film without realizing what it was that made those films so good in the first place with the films plot being a huge part of that as while it is a decent plot that could work as a throw back to movies like Terror Train or the original Prom Night for that matter the film adds quite literally nothing new to it's set up to make it's plot feel fresh again with it instead feeling tired and played out as while it did have all of the potential to be a really good plot if it actually tried to do something new with it's set up and yet by playing things a bit to safe for it's good it instead comes across as being generic as all of the elements that should have worked alot of the time just don't but when the film does try to do something new like having the victims all be candidates for prom queen which is a good idea it's also not one that's not really expanded upon all that much with the plot of this film also not really being really rather entertaining and as well as not really being really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is India Fowler as Lori Granger , Suzanna Son as Megan Rogers and Fina Strazza as Tiffany Falconer. Also starring in this film is David Iacono as Tyler Torres , Ella Rubin as Melissa Mckendrick , American Pie star Chris Klein as Dan Falconer , Ariana Greenblatt as Christy Renault , Lili Taylor as VP Dolores Brekenridge , Katherine Waterston as Nancy Falconer and Brennan Clost as Gerald.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us un this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films actors turning in some passable performances in this film which was a little unexpected as really out of this films actors only two of them are fairly decently known with those being Chris Klein and Ariana Greenblatt and that's really it with the rest of this films actors being made of mostly unknown or at best very little known actors and as such it would have bee really foolish to expect some good -performances in them in this very film and yet that's exactly what we got with all of this films quite clearly trying there absolutely best to make this films script work for them however the issue comes from the fact that this films co-writer and director Matt Palmer really does have no clue whatsoever on how to get a good performance out of his actors however given that he's pretty much new to the world of directing this is forgivable as those are skills that he will naturally pick up as he makes more movies but it is something that does make this films acting hard to watch at times with the acting that's in this very film not really being heled by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does hard the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

This films characters are just like the script in that there bad and generic as all of this films main characters are characters that have not only been done before in other and better slasher but they also have nothing that makes them feel new and unique. With al of the character types from eighties slasher being represented in this film only none of them have anything new or interesting added to them with the only exception being the character of Lori Granger who despite the typical good girl character who has to fight against prejudice due to her mother being insane and killing people which is a unique angle to take on what could have been seen as a being a really tired and worn out character trope only the film does nothing with it thus making it feel like something that was an afterthought as they do nothing with it other then mention a few times early on in the film and that's really it however she's gets the gold star treatment when compared to the rest of this films characters who are all just badly done stereotypes which does make the makers of this film seem lazy as it appears that they couldn't be bothered to come up with fresh and new characters or at the very least make the characters that they do have seem interesting and while i'm sure that these characters will make the crowd on both TikTok and Bluesky happy they are characters that need to have to something new added to them as given just how they are in this film there not that good this is despite the fact that alot of them are being portrayed by some really good actors yet even taking into account that this films writers are fairly new writers as none of them even have a Wikipedia page for that matter they should still have taken the time to give us some decent characters in this film.

Unlike the previous three Fear Street films this one is actually based off of one of the Fear Streets book with the book being The Prom Queen. While it is hard to say if the book and this film are close to each other interms of quality as the only thing that I can say for sure about the book is that they changed the name of the main character from Lizzie in the book to Lori in the film and that's really it but at the same time tho given that the previous three films didn't really adapt any of the book per-say instead just adapting the world that the books take place in it is odd that for this fourth film they would instead choose to adapt one of the books when the previous three films proved that you don't have to do that in order to make the film good with this film not really doing a good enough job of making people want to read the books as it just makes the books story which is pretty much the exact same one as the film seem dull and generic when the job of the adaption should always be not only to make the story more accessible to people but to also make people want to check out the source material and yet it's something that this film just doesn't do as instead it's more focused on really letting you know that it takes place in the eighties then it is in being a good adaption of the book with there being no reason to see which is better as just based off of a very quick reading from the book's Wikipedia page everything that happens in the film happens in the book which is great if you like a straight forward adaptation but what ight work in the book doesn't always work out in the adaptation but credit where it's due for still trying to make a direct adaptation of one of the books in this series as that is something that if done well could lead to future films or better yet a TV series that takes the exact same approach that this films takes by directly adapting one of the books and not just the world that the books take place in.

As was mentioned earlier on in this review this film is pretty much just copying both the original and the remake version of Prom Night. As both films take place at senior prom and both films have a killer that is directly related to one of the films main characters and heck both films even have a pretty decent soundtrack to it on top of that with the influence even extending to the films poster as there is a poster for this film that looks shockingly like the poster to the original Prom Night and while it's great that you want to show your influences for other horror movies in your horror movie but you have to be subtle about it because if not then all it will do is make people want to watch that film and not your film which is exactly the case with this film as it just reminds you that you could be watching a much more better horror film instead of making you focus solely on this film which is what it should have been doing in the first place and heck it even takes a little bit from the Prom Night remake as well by having the scene where the killer is arrested be a false ending with the kills then continuing when one of the main characters gets home which is just such a pointless thing to do as everybody would be expecting that given the fact that when the killer is masked there's twenty minuets of run time left and while having a false ending an be good as it then makes you wonder what's going to happen next in order for it to work there has to be some build up done all throughout the film which is something that's very sadly not even close to being the case with this film as it's more focused on being a new version of Prom Night then it is in being it's unique thing.

For some strange reason even tho this film is meant to have a mystery aspect to it the film not only doesn't give us any clues as to who the killer might be but it also reveals the killer to early into the films third act. Both of which are things that work against the film as without any clues or suspects for that matter us the audience can't figure it out for ourselves as to who the killer of this film is even meant to be in the first place which also robs the film of any replay ability as well as now we have no reason to back and watch the film to see if we've missed out anything important and with the killer being revealed for two early in the films third act there was no real build up to the reveal and not to mention the person who is the killer in this film doesn't make sense as he doesn't really have much in the way motive outside of wanting to make sure that two people get something that they wanted which is not only a really generic motive for a killer to have but it also makes the killer look dumb as the people that he killed still could have won and become Prom Queen as the ones who were deciding the votes were those in attendance so wouldn't it therefor make sense to kill those that are voting for the person other then who the killer wanted to to win instead of killing off those that are taking part in it in the first place and when they reveal that there's more then one killer that is something that whilst it is interesting it also comes out nowhere and comes into pay in the final scene of the film and therefor can't leave as much of an impact as an idea like that does tend to leave with all of these being issues that could be fixed not only with a simple rewrite of the films script but also by hiring writers that actually know what there doing.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty minuets and one second. Which is pretty much the exact grand total running that you'd expect a film like this one to have with the film really having the right amount of pot there to really cover that amount of running time however it's not really used all that wisely as ether the plot of the film nor the films characters are developed well enough to the point where you actually care about them nor care about what's actually going on in the film as the film is more focused on doing everything as half baked as it could do that it just doesn't give us any kind of interesting characters now while it would be hard to say if the characters in the original trilogy where any better one thing is clear and that's the fact that due to the original trilogy of films having the same director and the same crew throughout all of them that means that the makers of the film could fall in love with the characters and there for make them more interesting where as here the films characters just feel like that there only there to be killed off with very few of them actually adding anything to the main plot of the film with even the films plot not really being that well developed either as even tho it is a decent plot it still just feels half baked like the makers of the film could have done with spending a few more months just working on the films plot to get as good as it was ever going to be with this running time and yet for whatever reason the makers of this film felt that it was OK as it is but I really will admit that this film really does have some really dreadful pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films kills really being the true highlight of the film as we do get to see some pretty creative kills however just because the kills are creative and gory doesn't mean that the film itself is any good as the film still needs to have likable characters that make you feel sorry for them because of the fact that they've died and sadly that is where that this film falls flat as the characters aren't all that likable due to there being nothing about the characters personalities that makes them either likable or hate able and therefor when one of them does infact die all us the audience feel is nothing we don't feel happy that a character that we hate has been killed off nor do we feel sad when a character that we like has just been killed off either this is despite the fact that the film does have some really impressive gore effects to it with the example of this films gore being when one of the characters gets a part of his face sawed off which does look really cool and is a really inventive kill on top of all of that as well with that kill also being the films best kill as it is a memorable kill even if the character being killed off is totally forgettable which is something that's also true for all of the characters that do get killed of in this film as there's nothing all that memorable about them over then the way that they do get killed off which makes those characters seem all the more badly written then what they already are in the first place in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while I can't say if this is the vest or even the worse of the Fear Street films what I can say is that this film does feel like the waste of a good idea as on paper this is an idea that should have worked and yet for one reason or another it just didn't work as well as it really should have done in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the and things that are in this very film in this very review and a such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old core of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , the official Fear Street fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Fear Street fandom wiki page simply because the official Fear Street fandom wiki page actually has images from this film really are up and on the official Fear Street fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Fear Street fandom wiki page were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.
