Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama Film Review

Horror films come in all shapes and sizes with alot of them being big screen releases that become mainstream. However the film that i'm going to be talking to you all about today is the exact opposite as this is a film that really is pretty much a direct to VHS movie and really is the very definition of a cult film and so then join me as in review the film that ring three iconic horror actors together in one film with the film in question being called simply just "Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a group of teen break into a bowling ally to try and steal a trophy they find themselves in for the fight for their lives they accidentally unleash and evil imp from one of the trophies. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad which is something that's to be expected as this film was made on a really small budget and is basically a direct to VHS movie and those typically don't have good plots to them with this films plot being as good as it was ever going to be given the fact that the script was written in just ten days and only had one draft written which is something that might explain why this films plot is a bit all over the place and isn't that well focused as the plot of the film does disappear for large portions of the film which does make it hard to tell just what the plot of the film is meant to be alot of the time with this not really being helped by the fact that this plot isn't that strong of a plot both of which are things that could have been fixed if there were more rewrites to the script as that would then allow for the plot of the film to be alot more focused and for it to be alot more stronger of a plot but on the flip side of that is this films plot is wonderfully cheesy and campy and over the top which is something that does add to the overall cult like nature of the film with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is horror legend Linnea Quigley as Spider , Andras Jones as Calvin and Robin Rochelle as Barbara "Babs" Peterson. Also starring in this film is Carla Baron as Frankie , Kathi O'Brecht as Rhonda , John Stuart Wildman as Keith , Hal Havins as Jimmie , Brinke Stevens as Taffy , Michelle Bauer as Lisa , Dukey Flyswatter as the voice of Uncle Impie and George "Buck" Flower as The Janitor.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films acting being as good as it was ever going to be as nobody would have expected this film to have good or even great acting in it due to it's title alone but that's exactly what we get in this film with this films actors turning in the best possible performance that they could have done given the plot of the film and he fact that this film was filmed in a whopping twelve days which means that there's pretty much to time to do a take two and that is something that does really show through in the film as alot of the acting in this film does feel like the kind of acting that you'd see in the first take of any movie and while this films actors do the best job that they could have done with the material that was handed to them this films acting would have been greatly improved if they were given the time to do a take two as then the actors would be able to turn in some more better performances with the best actor in this film being Linnea Quigley as while all of the films actors know full well that there in a bad film she seems to be one of the few actors in the film that are actually trying to turn in a better then OK performance whilst also quite clearly having the time of her life being in this film with the acing that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there actual characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does effect the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

This film does fair a little bit better when it comes to there characters as the films characters are somewhat memorable but not for the right reasons tho. As while the characters are decently well done there still one dimensional characters only now it's pushed to the extreme which does make these characters laughable like take for example Spider all we really know about her as a character is that she's the films touch girl character and that's it and it's something that the film takes great pride in showing us every single time that she's on screen to the point where that becomes her sole personality and it's the same thing for all of the films characters where they all get one personality trait which the film then pushes so far to the extreme that it makes these characters feel more like cartoon characters due to the fact that we get to find out literally nothing else about of this films characters which to be does make these characters somewhat memorable but it's not in the way that you'd want them to be as while yes granted you do find yourselves routing for the characters that your supposed to like and hating the characters that your supposed to hate you do also find yourself laughing at the characters alot more then you cheering for them which is something that does add to this films more cult like nature and it is something that does make what could have been seen as being a really bad film now come across as being a film that's still bad but it's also pretty enjoyable due to how bad that pretty much everything in the film as there is clear effort gone into making this film and it is something that does shine through in the final cut of the film but at the same time tho none of that effort went into making this films characters memorable in the way that you'd want them to be memorable.

As was mentioned at the very start of this review this film did become a cult hit and it's not that hard to see why. As everything about this film from the choice of it's main actors to even it's title does scream cult film and to this films credit it does fully know that it's not going to be a hit film and therefor does have alot more fun with itself because of it with even the characters as one dimensional as they are in the film are still some pretty characters that have some pretty fun and more often then not funny scenes and while you can quite tell that the actors in this film are never in the same shot as The Imp despite them being in the exact same scene it is something that whilst it does make the film look cheap it does also add to the overall cult like nature of the film with this film even being such a cult hit that it spawned a knock off film in 1991 called Sorority Babes In The Dance-A-Thon of Death and just a few shorts years ago spawned a sequel called Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama 2 which is something that the film might not have been able to do if it was the more traditional hit film but due to the fact that this film is nothing more then a campy film with a title that does make it clear as day that this was never going to be a hit film the film was able to find it's own audience with it being that audience that helped to make it the cult film that it is today with this being something that does go to show you that you don't need to be a good film to be remembered as sometimes all you need is a stupid title and a stupid plot and that's something that this film does have with the title of the film even making it standout among all of the other direct to VHS horror movies out there just due to how eye catching that the title alone really is.

Out of this film and Nightmare Sisters it's fair to say that whilst Nightmare Sisters was the better overall film this one was the one that was most fun film to watch. As you can tell right from the very start of this movie that this films writer and director David DeCoteau knew that he was making a film that was going to be fun and therefor he just went nuts with the film with him making a film that whilst it's not as good as Nightmare Sisters is this one is still that's fun to watch due to the fact that it does look like that everybody else is on the joke with that being something that does make the film all the more  fun to watch with everyone who was making this film quite clearly having a blast with it so much so that all three leading ladies returned for the sequel with really the only thing that's really letting this film down being the fact that it doesn't take fully advantage of it's bowling alley setting as we barely get to see much of the bowling alley itself and when we do get to see it it's usually just the stuff that you'd usually see and nothing behind the scenes which makes having a horror film be set mostly in a bowling alley all the more pointless as that does limit the kind of creative kills that you could do with these characters given it's unique setup and villain but at the same time tho given that they could only afford to film at the bowling alley at night and that's really it that might have been the reason as to why we only really saw the bowling lanes and not much else as the rest of it might have been locked up but it is something that does make you wonder what the makers of this film would have done if they did get back to wear the pins are loaded for example or if they did go behind the scenes of the bowling alley instead of them going behind the scenes of the mall that the bowling alley is housed in which is still a great idea but at the same time you do still want to see more of the titular bowl-o-rama and not the building that's being housed in.

Given the title of this film this film is of a course a horror comedy with the makers of this film actually putting just as much effort into the horror aspect of the film then they did the comedy aspect of the film. It's just a shame then that the films comedy isn't that good with the film having jokes that you can see coming a mile away with the only somewhat decent joke being the slight running gag that the film has early on where these three girls just keep on knocking this poor Janitor into the same room all without each of them seeing the other which is a good little running joke and was one that could have carried on all throughout the film however tho the film for no apparent reason drops that joke in favor of the Janitor being kind of a death person who just winds up annoying Spider alot of the time as he comes to the same conclusion that she's been trying to tell him for a good while which don't get me wrong is a decent joke but it's not as good as the previous running joke with the same character was as at least with that joke you could pass it from character to character and it would still feel fresh and different but here because of the fact that the makers of this film stuck him with the only capable character in the film there kind of running joke is one that does start to get old realm fast even more so when you realise that the running joke with Spider and the Janitor gets in the way of Spider's pudding relationship with Calvin and it's like that with alot of the films jokes with the films jokes at best being OK to average jokes but nothing special and at worst being just downright unfunny but to this films credit they did know to keep it fairly balanced and didn't really lean to far into either aspect which given this films title is something that they very easily could have done.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and nineteen minuets and forty two seconds. Which to be fair to this film is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have with the film even having the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time and while yes this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely by not developing ether it's plot or it's characters this is the kind of the film that really doesn't need either of those things for it to work in the first place as this film is nothing more that a trashy horror comedy that knows exactly what it is and that's a bad movie which to be fair is sometimes just all you want from a movie as while yes it would have helped this film out quite alot if it did have a more developed plot as that would make the plot of the film all the more interesting then what it already is and if the films characters were more developed as that would not only make them more interesting as characters but it would also give us the audience more of a reason to route for these characters outside of the basic one of them is the good guy and the other's the bad guy this is the type of the film that really doesn't require any of that and to this films credit it does work on it's own merit as while yes granted this film is a trashy horror comedy it's also a fun and campy movie that knows exactly what it is and really isn't afraid of being the kind of bad movie that it already knows that it is which is something that dies make this film all the more to watch because of it but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now the as this is a horror film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However tho this is a bad thing as the films kills just aren't that good either with alot of them being rather plain and boring to watch with none of them really taking as full advantage of the films supernatural aspect as they really could have done which is something that could come down to one of two things the first one being the fact that The Imp is stop motion animated and therefor really can't do all that much in the first place and the second might just be the fact that this film most likely had a really small budget in the first place and therefor the films kills can't be as good as they perhaps would have been should the film have had a much more larger budget in the first place either way it is something that does prevent all of this films kills from being good or memorable with the film not even having a single good kill in it as while alot of the films are indeed creative and fun to watch in the film as there all lacking that extra special something that makes them good in the first place with the only thing that would have made any of this films kills better was if the film actually took full advantage of it's supernatural aspect by having The Imp himself actually be the one to kill people and not have him control two or three girls and have them kill them for him which while it's a solid idea it is one that does hold the films kills back from being as good as they really could have been in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall it really hard to fully judge this film s while yes it is a really bad film no one will ever deny that but it's also a film that's so bad that it's good with the things that make it bad also being the things that make it fun to watch in the first place with this film being a really campy film that knows that's bad film and really isn't afraid to be exactly that which does also help to make the film fun to watch as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in tis very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Nightmare Sisters Film Review

Horror in the eighties was truly a sight to be seen as while we had giants like Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger among others racking up victims on the big screen. We also had a slew of direct to VHS horror films that range from being really good to being really weird but all of them are a good example of just how big horror in the eighties really was and so then join me as I review the film that used the exact same cast and crew from Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama with the film in question being called simply just "Nightmare Sisters" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when three nerdy guys find themselves being invited to the house of three equally nerdy girls the guys find themselves in for the fight of there lives when they accidentally unleash an ancient evil that takes over the girls. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not bad with this films plot also not really being all that good either as while it is a rather simple plot it's perhaps a little bit to simple for it's own good as this films plot is also a it on the weak side of things as well as while this films plot is more then strong enough ti support an entire feature length film it's also not a plot that's as good as it could have been due to the fact that there's not really that much focus on the films plot with the film oddly enough giving alot more focus to it's three leading ladies then it is the actual plot of the film which is something that does make sense as this film does have three fairly big names in the world of horror all starring in one movie together but that would mean nothing if the plot of the film isn't that good and while this is a film that really doesn't need to be a deep and thought provoking plot in order for it to work as here it just needs to be simple and that's really it but at the same time tho the plot still needs to be good in order for people to actually like the film with the plot of this film being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Return Of The Living Dead star Linnea Quigley as Melody and The Slumber Party Massacre star Brinke Stevens as Marci. Also starring in this film is Michelle Bauer as Mickey , Richard Gabai as Kevin , William Dristas as Duane , Marcus Vaughter as Freddy , Timothy Kauffman as Phil , Matthew Phelps as J.J. , C. Jay Cox as Bud , Michael Sonye as Omar and Jim Culver as The Exorcist.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With alot of this films actors turning in some fairly solid performances which is something that is truly shocking as alot of this films actors are really unknown to at the very best very little known actors and therefor it would have been foolish of anyone to expect to see good acting in this film and yet that's exactly what we get and while granted this films acting isn't OSCAR worthy it is a damn sight better then what it really had any right to be as by all rights this films acting really should have been bad but you can tell right from the first frame that all of this films actors are giving it there all and are just having a blast making this movie with the films best actor or in this case actors being Linnea Quigley , Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer as not only are they the three biggest names in this film but they are also the ones that get more of a chance to show off there acting skills as well and what we get to see from them from an acting point of view really does help to make this films acting really even more better then what it had any right to be as well with the acting that's in this very film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with interms of what it is that there characters actual personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really foes help to lower the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

When it comes to it's characters this film really doesn't all that much better as to be frank this films characters are really weak. As all of them just fall under two categories either nerdy or popular and that's it as none of them have anything about them that makes them standout from one another which is fine given that this film is meant to be a very low budget B movie horror comedy but at the same time this is also a huge issue with the film as all of the films characters are just these very flat and very dull and boring one dimensional characters which does make them hard to watch alot of the time with it being main fully obvious that the makers of this film put more thought and attention into the fact that they wanted to let you know that all three of this girls main leading characters are drop dead gorgeous then they did into quite literally anything else in the film and while having three drop dead gorgeous girls in the film is great for the over art it means nothing if all three of them have the personality of a blank wood but to be to fair tho seeing Linnea Quigley play "dumb One" one of the trio was hugely entertaining in it's own right but it doesn't excuse the fact that all of this films characters could have been written so much more better as that would then make them memorable characters and it would make this film stand out all the more from all of the other direct to VHS horror film that came out around this time but because of the fact that the makers of this film were just content with having badly done characters then it means that instead of standing out from those films by having these memorable the film instead blends in by having badly written characters.

To give this film some sort of credit it's three bully characters are more of a parody of bully characters that you'd see in other eighties movies from around the same time. With this being something that does oddly make those three characters all the more fun to watch as even tho you know full well just what it is that there going to say and how there going to act in the film that's part of the charm of there characters and while it's not something that makes them likable characters in any way whatsoever it is something that does make oddly enjoyable to watch in this film where as alot of bully characters regardless of if there in a horror film or not feel like that there being written by someone who was never bullied in their life and so are just having them say or do things that they think a bully would say or do and while it could be argued that that's also the case here that is something that does add to the charm of these characters as there written in a such an over the top kind of way that the ultimately end up becoming human cartoon characters where as the characters that aren't the bullies whilst they still are written in that over the top kind of way don't have any charm to them and thus even tho we are meant to hate the bully characters and want to see them die at the end of the film we the audience end up having more fun with those characters as there for the most part written like the heroes even tho there meant to be the bullies and therefor we end up liking them alot more then what we should do and feel sad when there gone as all we get left with are a bunch of characters that aren't that well written and have nothing that's actually interesting about them.

This film is home to what might the weakest slap in horror film history as during the opening prolog of the film a woman is seen talking to a fortune teller where he straight up tells her that her husband is hooking up with someone after his mystic ball possess him and starts to then taunt the woman. It's only then that the woman gives him what has to be the weakest slap in horror film history because it didn't look like that it hurt at all no matter how loud they made it sound it just looked weaked and it makes you wonder if actor Michael Sonye was on a really tight schedule as it looks like that they didn't do a second take of that slap which is something that really should have done as the acting from both the woman in question and Michael Sonye wasn't that good either it looking like that they spent all of five minuets on that scene even tho it sets up something that is then payed off later on in the film and yet if they did do a second take of that scene then not only could there acting have been so much more better then what it is as the pair of them are just hamming it up but not in a fun way either then it would also mean that we'd get a much more better slap out of it as her slap was so weak that if it was on WWE they'd have to reshoot it after the episode was broadcast as that's just how weak that her slap was but to be fair tho it's that scene that does let you know right away just what kind of film that your in for as that scene is so campy and over the top much like the film itself that it does get you ready for the madness that's to follow it so in that regard maybe it was a great thing that the slap was that weak but on the flip of that is the fact that regardless of if it was intentional or not it still has to look like that it hurt where as the slap as it is looks really painless and not really painful.

While this film is meant to be a horror comedy it's a little bit hard to tell just where the makers of this film put there focus on in this regard. As the film has very scares in it and the laughs feel more like the jokes that would be in any of the lesser Scary Movie sequels as there not really all that funny either with there being one or two passable jokes at best with one of those being a reference to The Exorcist as the exorcist in this movie just straight up implies not only was he the one delivering the exorcism to Regan but that this movie and that movie also take place in the same fictional universe as a result of it which all that does is just make you wonder if with the release of The Exorcist: Believer did the makers of thar film resurrect the world that this film takes place due to the fact that the priest character in this film also by his own account be the one to cure Regan of her evil spirits as well and while that reference was solid it also wasn't needed either as the film very easily could have had him just be a random character or if they wanted to go all in with The Exorcist joke then why not get someone who played one of the fathers in that movie to play the priest in this movie with the best joke that the film has being anything with the bullies as anything they do in this movie is just pure gold with there best scene being quite early on in the movie where they straight up make up rules for a rule book just to keep our hero characters from going out something which they later bring back when the bullies have all three guys tied up and go mad at them for apparently breaking a rule that they've just made up all for no reason whatsoever which is just how funny that these bully characters could be and while all of the other characters including the girls themselves get some decent jokes as well nothing will ever top whatever the bullies say or do as there just meant to be living breathing human cartoon characters and are rightfully treated as such in the final cut of the film itself.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty minuets and fifty six seconds. Which in all fairness to this film is pretty much the exact grand total running time that you'd expect a film like this one to have with this film having the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time but in saying that tho this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the plot of the film isn't that well developed with it being very hard to tell just what it is that the main plot of the film is even meant to be as it does come across as the characters just doing thing not because the plot of the film demands it but rather to fill out the films running time when if the film just had a more developed plot then there would be no need for filler in this film in the first place with the film not even taking the time to fully develop it's character which in all fairness to this film is also an issue with other direct to VHS horror films as well as alot of them much like this one but alot more thought and effort into there cover art and not there characters but in saying that tho there should have bee more effort in this film to make it's characters stand out and be more developed as that would help the film become all the more better because of it and yet for one reason or another the makers of this film chose not do either of those things when doing either or both of them really would help us the audience to not only like the film but also care for it's characters alot more then what we already do in the first place but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a horror film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. However tho in saying that all of this films kills aren't that good either as there all the exact same kill where one of the bully characters just turns into dust for little to no reason with this film being one of the rare films where there actually isn't a best kill in the film as all of the films kills are the exact same kill which yes makes sense in terms of the film and the films main killer but at the same time it does make all of the films really boring to see with this being made all the more worse when you don't even get to see any gore at all which is something that would have made the film all the more better as then the film could at least have some more entertainment value to it but just having all three of the bully characters turn to dust after getting with all three of the possessed girls is a bit of a lame death even if all three bullies are characters that really did earn there deaths and therefor did deserve a more satisfying death for all three of them instead of just getting variations of the same death and even the films main villain gets a pretty lame death as she much like with the bullies gets turned to dust and that's really it and while that is something that really does mesh well with the films more comedic tone it does nothing for the films horror aspect in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while it's hard to say if this film is a truly bad film or not as what it lacks for in scared and comedy it more then makes up in entertainment value and sometimes being entertaining is just as important then being a good film but with that being aid this is still a film that's not that very good either altho it's hard to say if this film is worse or better then Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very revue and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got al of the images hat I personally used in this very review from the official Headhunter's Horror House fandom wiki page , Tenor , Imp Awards > Com and Google Images.

The Munsters "Lily Munster–Girl Model" Review

With Wednesday currently gearing up to release the second part of it's second season in a few weeks and proving that creepy and cooky families do still have life in them. It only made sense that I took the time to remind you all of a show that was a rival to the original The Addams Family TV show and so then join me as I review the episode that sees Lily get a job with the episode in question being called simply just "Lily Munster–Girl Model" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is when she's bored one night Lily decides that she wants to get a job in order to contribute anything to society. Now then interms of that I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual job that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad however tho this episodes plot isn't all that good as it is a very basic and simple plot which is something that does work well enough for the show as this is a sitcom afterall and those don't typically have deep and thought provoking plots in order to tell their stories well but in saying that tho this episodes plot is perhaps a little bit to simple and easy to follow not that that's a bad thing per-say but it's something that does hold the episode back quite alot as you know how the episode is going to end due to how simple that this episodes plot is when giving the episode a little bit more of a complicated plot that's more in line with say the "Eddie's Nickname" episode or even the pilot episode of the show would have helped the episode out a little bit in saying that tho this show does work it's best when it does have a simple plot much like this one and while this episodes plot isn't all that good there's still more thought and effort put into this plot then there was the 2022 Rob Zombie movie as this plot does have alot of care and attention put into it with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster , Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster and Al Lewis as Grandpa Munster. Also starring in this episode is Pat Priest as Marilyn Munster , Butch Patrick as Eddie Munster , Roger C. Carmel as Laszlo Brastoff , Nina Shipman as The Beautiful Girl , John Alvin as Mr. Franklin , Kimberly Beck as The Little Girl , Sally E. Morris as Colette , Sondra Teke as Millicent , Susan Wedell as The 1st Model , Tracy Butler as The 2nd Model , Lois Roberts as Irving and Lesley-Marie Colburn as A Girl Model.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes actors really giving us some truly wonderful performances with it even being in this episode that we get to see some of the wonderful chemistry between Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis as the two of them do share alot of screen time together with both of them also giving us some truly wonderful performances as well which is something that's to be expected as they have been with the show since episode one and so it does make sense that them and the rest of the series main actors would also turn in some really performances in their right as well with the best actor in the whole entire episode being Yvonne De Carlo as she does get alot to do in this episode which does give her a chance to show us just what she could do as an actress with her performance being as wonderfully over the top as a plot like this one would allow it to be with it being clear as day that she's having a blast making this episode which is something that really does shine through in her performance with the acing that's in this very episode really being helped by the fact that this episodes script is just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

It was kind of a refreshing thing to not only see an episode where Lily is the main character but also one where she does actively look for a job as that does feel like something that her character would indeed do. With the rest of the shows characters being written both oddly OK and yet at the same time out of character as well as while it's perfectly in character for Herman to worry about Lily it's not in his character to actively stop her from doing something that she really wants to do as that just makes this version of the character feel like a character that was made in sixties with the same thing also being true Grandpa as well as they both go out of their way to make sure that Lily gets fired from her job when they have to no good reason for wanting to do and while this give us more of Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis in scenes together which is always fun to see it comes at the expense of their characters being in character as these two characters would do anything that they possibly could do to support Lily and would want to see her succeed and yet for some odd reason the episode frames her as being the bad guy and has her be the one that apologizes to them when they are the ones that mess up the fashion show that she takes part it look fair enough this episode was written at a time where women were just expected to stay home and not really get a job but this family had always been presented as a loving a caring family which makes it all the more weird that they would go out of their way to make sure that Lily gets fired from a job that she really likes doing and for the few very scenes that Eddie and Marilyn are in they seem to be written just fine.

Just sticking with what just being said for a minuet this episode does feel very of the time that it was being made in. As everything from the jobs that Lily goes out for to even how both Herman and Grandpa act when she does get a job does feel very dated as the only jobs that we see her go out for are as a home Nurse , a secretary and finally a model all of which are very female dominated jobs and even taking into account that this episode was made in the sixties it does make it feel very dated that she would only go out for those jobs and nothing more then that but on the plus side seeing her get a modelling job on her first try was very impressive but at the same time it does feel like a very stereotypical female job to have where as it would have been more forward thinking to have her say working in a bank or working in a graveyard both of which do feel very true to her character but given that the world at that point in time just wasn't ready to see a female working any other job then those three that she does go out for it does mean that we get stuck with an episode that was dated be the seventies now to be clear that doesn't mean that this is a bad episode as it's really not as the very fact that they even had a plot with Lily going out to get a job in the first place where as must sitcoms would avoid that kind of plot like the plague is vert forward thinking in it's own right it's just something that could have been done alot more better then what it already was in the first place as it does seem like that the makers of this episode were just doing the bare minimum as even the fact that she's the one that apologizes to Herman when she thinks that he's at the show with another woman when he's just there with a disguised Grandpa doesn't work as they should also apologize to her as well.

While both Marilyn and Eddie don't really have alot to do in this episode other then come in for one or two jokes in the episode. It oddly enough doesn't hurt the episode as you don't really notice that there not in it all that much which is odd as you very easily could have had both characters take part in their own little subplot away from the main plot like we know that Eddie needs help with his homework thanks to the opening scene where Grandpa says as such so why not have the subplot be about those two characters just doing Eddie's homework and all of the scrapes that they get into while there trying to get it done which yes granted that does sound like a terrible plot but given that it's meant to be the B plot it doesn't really need to be that good and it still would have given the characters something to do in the episode or heck they even could have had Eddie try to help Marilyn get a boyfriend something which would make sense as that's the whole plot of the first episode and is also kind of the running joke with her character but for whatever reason the makers of this episode chose not to have those two characters play that big of a role in the episode with them essentially being nothing more then cameos as that's how little that they add to the plot of the episode as the family works really well when it's all of them together and that's something that this show should be about from time to time as it shows us the audience that even tho they look weird when compared to us it might us that's the weird ones because there still acting like a normal and loving family despite the fact that they look creepy and while that would mean thankfully rewriting the entire Herman and Grandpa part of the episode we would ultimately get a much more better episode out of it.

Even tho this episode does feel a little bit more dated in it's premise it would be hard to deny the fact that this is a really fun filled episode of the show. With the all of the main characters of the episode getting into some sort of wacky hijinks all of which do serve to make would could been nothing more then just an OK episode of the show seem alot more fun to watch as it will always be pure fun seeing Al Lewis and Fred Gwynne just being there wacky selfs together and the very fact that Grandpa doesn't quite the potion just right when he turns himself in a beautiful woman as even tho his body changes he still has his voice is a wacky and fun concept with the episode even having some really fun looking effects one of which would have been really hard to do even back then as when Lily is trying out for the secretary we see the bar that appears on top of the type writer just continue to float away until she pulls it back which again is a really fun visual and it's one that does make you wonder how they did it as there's no possible way that you could have done an effect like that even back in the sixties let alone on a TV show budget and yet it's here in this episode and it's one that does work as it help to sell you on just how much fun that this episode really is with even the end gag with Eddie being turned into a little girl being one that is a fun idea and it's one that would have been even more fun if the next episode actually did something that and it's the fact that this episode was fun does say that the makers of this show really did know how to keep the episode fun and family friendly and yet still have those gut bustlingly funny moments that do catch you off guard.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty five minuets and twenty eight seconds. Which to be fair to this episode is pretty much the exact grand total running time that the rest of the shows episodes have with this episode even having the right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running tome and while the episode doesn't really use it's running time all that wisely as the plot of the episode isn't that well developed that's also something that could be for sitcoms as a whole as nearly all of them don't have plots that are that well developed and isn't an issue that's exclusive to this episode with this episode not even requiring a well developed plot as it only needs the basic set up and that's really it and to be fair to this episode that's all it really needs however tho this episodes characters could have done with a bit of character development as the episode doesn't really give them any to speak off but at the same time tho alot of sitcoms don't really develop there characters either but here it is something that does stick out like a sore thumb due to the fact that both Herman and Grandpa were quite clearly the ones in the wrong and while yes Lily should have said sorry for thinking that Herman was cheating on her Herman also should have said sorry for not telling Lily how he truly felt about her getting this job in the first place but for whatever reason the makers of this episode only saw Lily as being the one in the wrong when she's not as in the wrong as Herman and Grandpa is as she while she did do something wrong so id they and yet there denied the chance to be developed as characters all for no reason whatsoever but I really will admit that this episode really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is comedy that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes characters both main characters or not getting some really good jokes in this episode and while Lily does get alot of good jokes when she's trying out for various jobs she oddly doesn't get the best joke in the episode as that honor goes to both Herman and Grandpa as in the scene where we see Herman trying different potions to make him more appealing to women we get to see him take potions based of various celebrities of the day however the makers of this episode go that extra step by not only having Herman dressed like them but also talk and act exactly like them all the while keeping all of the Herman make up on and while that set up alone is more then enough to make that joke really good it gets more funnier when Marilyn comes into Grandpa's lair and sees Herman dressed up as Texas Cowboy all of which results in her breaking down in laughter and just running out of the room which might not sound like much but you see it in the actual episode it's a jokes that comes across as being far more better as we get to see all three actors just having the time of their lives and it's something that really does make that joke be the best joke which is really saying something as there a lot of really good jokes in this episode as even seeing Lily be this great model that literally floats across the floor is a good joke in it's own right in this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall whilst this episode does come across as being date it's also an episode that is a really fun episode of the show and if people can easily look past just how dated that this episode does appear to be then there will be some people that will really like this episode due to how fun that it is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that re in this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co . Uk , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this episode being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this episode really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

My SPOILER FILLED First Impressions Of Alien: Earth

The Alien franchise has good as well conquered the world of cinema and the world of video games but there is one form of media left for this franchise to tackle or rather there was. As now the first two episodes of the first TV show to be set in the world of the Alien franchise has just been released and well you all just knew that yours truly just simply had to check them out the very chance that he got and so then join me as I give my SPOILER FILLED first impressions of the show that is the first TV show to spawn from the Alien franchise with the how in question being called simply just "Alien: Earth" enjoy.

The plot of these first two episodes is when a spaceship crash lands on earth to teams of people head inside one looking for any survivors the other looking to help out wherever possible and both finding something far more deadly inside then what either of them could have possibly imagined. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad however the plot also wasn't all that good either as the shows plot does seem to be a slow burn type of plot which is perfect for a TV show as it does make you want to watch more but the issue is tho is that it does also mean that for a vast majority of the first episode nothing happens to advance the plot of the show and while episode two does fair a little bit better in this regard you always want to lead with your best foot forward and how episode one structures it's plot doesn't make it the best foot to start out on as all that episode does is just bore you to death with episode two not really having much in the way of plot as it's a very basic setup which is fair enough but at the same time tho you still do want to something that makes you want to watch more of the show spread all throughout both episodes and plot wise both of these episodes don't have that and while yes granted they are really well written plots no one is going to be denying that but given the premise of the show you do kind of expect something alot more different then what we actually get in these first two episodes with the plot of these first two episodes not really being really rather entertaining and nor are they really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these episodes is Sydney Chandler as Wendy , Alex Lawther as Hermit and Essie Davis as Dame Sylvia. Also starring in these episodes is Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier , Babou Ceesay as Morrow , Adarsh Gourav as Slightly , Karen Aldridge as Chibuzo , Erana James as Curly , Lily Newmark as Nibs , Jonathan Ajayi as Smee , David Rysdahl as Arthur Sylvia , Diêm Camille as Siberian , Moe Bar-El as Rashidi , Adrian Edmondson as Atom Eins , Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh , Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Yutani , Kit Young as Tootles , Lloyd Everitt as Hoyt , Amir Boutrous as Rahim , Florence Bensberg as Marcy and Cameron Brown as A Xenomorph.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acing that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad. With all of the actors that are in these first two episodes really turning in some really solid performances with this being something that does make alot of sense as alot of this shows actors are a bunch of really good actors in the first place and therefor it would make sense for them to turn in some really good performances and even those that aren't that well known be it in general or just in America still somehow manage to hold their own when it comes to acting against there more well counterparts when if anything there acting could have tanked both of these episodes and yet because of the fact that they do manage to turn in some really good performances which is also something that's all that new for anything that this shows creator Noah Hawley has worked as all of his past works have some really good acting in them it is something that does make these first two episodes all the more bearable to watch with the best actor in both of these episodes being series star Sydney Chandler as Wendy as without giving away to much about her character she does make what could have been seen as being a really dull and generic character seem and new and fresh again by giving the character this childlike innocence to her which is something that really does make alot of sense for her character with the acting that's in these very episodes really being helped by the fact that these episodes scripts are just so good that all this shows actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out pf them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in these very episodes.

Doing the CGI for these episodes really is the legends and the really greats that are currently over at Proof. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes was in all honesty not that bad with both of these episodes having some really cool looking CGI shots in them all of which do look really good in both of the episodes but at the same time seeing just how much CGI they used in these episodes when they could have used practical effects was very distracting alot of the time not because of the fact that the CGI was bad because it clearly isn't but rather it's because of the fact that the whole mantra in Hollywood these days seems to be "we got CGI so let's just it" which is great for the VFX artists working on this show but at the same time it does mean that things that would have looked good practically now look like obvious effects like of the early CGI in episode one all of which are shots that creative people would have found ways to do for real but because we are now living in a world where everything needs to be CGI it's all done in computers which makes it look less real and while yes granted there are some shots in episode two that you can't do for real as you can't have a man in an alien suit burst out some glass and then land on his feel safely as that's a huge health and safety risk but you should only use CGI to enhance what's already there to create something that you can't do for real and that's it.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There really does seem to be a whole love for Disney's version of Peter Pan running all throughout both of these episodes as not only are several of the enhanced characters named after characters from the film but the enhanced characters are also shown to be watching that film when they get put into there adult bodies and the name of the first episode is called Neverland. With there even being this wear edit in episode one where someone says the name Wendy and then it cuts to someone saying darling like we get it there's a thing with Peter Pan going on but why that version of the story and why that character as if anything the film has more line with 2009's Avatar then it does that movie with the whole putting people into other different bodies motif being very similar to the humans putting their bodies into there avatar's so surely it would have made more sense to feature them showing that film then it would to show Peter Pan but this is something that could be chalked up to the fact that Disney fully owns that version of Peter Pan and so it was most likely free to use or at the very least cheaper to use then what footage from Avatar would have been but this is made all the more weirder when they show two characters not only watching but also openly enjoying Ice Age: Continental Drift with Wendy and Hermit even using a quote from that film as a way for Wendy to convince Hermit that she really is his sister with those two things feeling like a big advertisement for Disney as there just so distracting as they take you out of both episodes just due to the fact that the Ice Age one doesn't all that much to the plot of episode 2 and the Peter Pan one just feels like that there really hitting you over the head with there Peter Pan motif and heck even the enhanced characters are even called The Lost Boys.

To be fair to this show and to these first two episodes the show was really well marketed with none of the shows trailers or teaser for that matter even revealing what the main plot of the show was even going to be in the first place. So much so that much like with Weapons you have to check out the first two episodes alone just to get some idea as to what the main plot of the show was even going to be about but even so this show does seem a victim of it's own hype as the trailers did make it look like that we'd get to see alot of the Xenomorph's here on earth and just based on these first two episodes we really don't get to see that with this being a damn shame as that really is just such a cool idea as it opens us up to not only more places as to where these creatures could not only be but also where they could come out from as well thus making us the audience even more tense as they could quite literally be in any given scene but it also means that any of the characters could be killed at any minuet as well as yet for some odd reason these first two episodes especially the second episode mainly take place inside of this crashed ship called the Maginot with that setting being fine for one episode as you do need to explain how these creatures even got to earth in the first place but given that the trailers made it look like that we'd be seeing the Xenomorph's actually steeping foot on earth and then not even show us that cool idea it just makes you wonder why the trailers even hinted at that being the case but luckily we are getting of the ship in episode 3 so hopefully we'll get to actually see the Xenomorph's attacking earth people this time and not have it happen off screen.

For one reason or another this show does have Hermit and Wendy reunite in it's second episode which to me shouldn't have been the case. As having them reunite should have been this big emotional thing that happens near the end of the season with her plot arc literally being about reuniting with her brother and yet now the makers of this show have nowhere to go with her character as not only have they reunited but she's also proven that she is who she says she is with this also being a huge issue with The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live where they had the two character reunite at the end of the first episode whilst yes granted the show could take Wendy in a whole different direction and not have her be the doting sister but rather make this well rounded Ripley type of character something which they do show hints at doing all throughout the shows first two episodes the issue is tho is that Ripley was a more relatable character whereas they literally tell us that Wendy has been given all of these special abilities seemingly for no reason so it's not all that surprising when she does do something that all of the enhanced characters can't do where as when Ripley stood up to and fought the Alien Queen and Aliens it meant something because of the fact that she could die whereas we know for a fact that Wendy and all of the other enhanced characters can't die and while the character isn't that bad as she does have a childlike innocence about that despite the best efforts of Kirsh she still does retain it's not enough to make that good of a character just yet but to be fair tho the show does start the character of on the right foot tho they just have to stick the course and make her a good and strong female character naturally and not make her a Mary Sue type of character.

Now then episode one of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and three minuets and fifty seconds where as episode two of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty five minuets and eleven seconds. With to be frank episode one being a slog to it through as not alot actually happens for the first thirty to thirty five minuets of the episode but when the main plot does actually kick in that's when things kick up a notch with episode two fairing better in this regard as that episode was more of a breeze to sit through with both episodes having more the  enough plot there to really cover there respective running times however both episodes don't really use there respective running times all that wisely as the plot to these episodes really does feel undercooked and not that well developed as there's just so many other plots going on just in the first episode alone that it does make it hard to keep track of what's meant to be going on plot wise and while episode 2 does fair somewhat better as even tho the plot there isn't that well developed it does have a somewhat unique concept with Xenomorph hunting down these humans in the crashed ship that's attached to a phone tower type of building and while the episodes characters do come across as being slightly better as they are all really well written not all of them have anything all that memorable about them to make them all standout to us the audience which does make them all blend into one with the only character that really does stand out being Wendy herself and that's really it but I really will admit that these episodes really do have some really good pacing to them both tho.

So now then as this is a horror show that really does mean that have to actually talk the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in these very episodes were in all honesty not that bad. As both episodes do make some really good uses of the Xenomorph as they only have the creature come creeping out of the shadows with there being little to know music cues playing to let you know that the character is even there in the first place with the show being shockingly gory as we do get to see alot of blood as while this is something that should be expected given that it's an FX show it's also a show that's being produced by Disney and therefor it is shocking when you do see the characters that die in these first two episodes die in horribly gruesome and gory ways and while it would be very tempting to say that the dinner party kill in episode two is the best kill of both of these episodes but the fact is the episode doesn't show us that kill as when the kill is happening the episode instead zooms in of the face of Morrow for literally no reason whatsoever which does mean that the best kill in both of these episodes goes to both of the guards that get killed off in episode one as we see an insect bite one of the guards in the face and then slowly kill him and then because he's tied up to the other guard it just goes over and does the same thing which was a nice and quick kill but it still doesn't change the fact that the second episode doesn't show us what could have been the best kill in the whole entire show but in saying that tho both of episodes do have plenty of cool kills in them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall while it is easy to see were people are coming from when they say that these two episodes are really good as they can be a pair of really enjoyable there's just so much bad about these episodes to fully recommend these episodes but people who like this franchise might find some enjoyment out of these episodes tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and a swell as all of the bad things that are in these very episodes in this very post and given that this is only my first impressions of the show I will not be giving any of these a rating but if I do continue to watch this show then I will do a review of the show as a whole.

Now then as for where I personally go all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all f the images that I personally used in this very post from Tenor , the official Disney fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from these episodes being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from these episodes really are up and on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

The Toxic Avenger 2025 Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

These days it seems like the only way to truly get the movie that you want made out is to release it unrated. Which  is a huge gamble on any...
