Dawn Of The Dead 1978 Film Review

Ladies and gentlemen very rarely do I get to review a horror film that i've never seen before let alone review a classic horror film that many have said is the best zombie film of all time and well for this review and so I thought that i'd take a look at a film that i've honestly never even seen before. Which for me at least is a very rare thing indeed and so join me as I review the classic 1978 George A. Romero zombie film classic with the film itself being called simply "Dawn Of The Dead" and so enjoy this / the review everyone dead and undead alike.

The plot of this film is a group of people try to survive the zombie apocalypse in a shopping mall all the while trying to maintain some resemblance of their own humanity as the world around them crumbles and is possibly overrun by zombies. In terms of what I thought about the plot of this film in all honesty the plot of this film is so much better then what my summery of this films plot made it out to be since the main focus of this film isn't the plot at all since the main focus of this film are the human characters and seeing them struggle just to live day to day or even hour to hour and the plot of this film is honestly really freaking good since an honestly refreshing story that is in all honesty really well told but that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinion anyways.

Starring in this film is David Emge as Stephen "Flyboy" Andrews , Ken Foree as Peter Washington , Scott Reiniger as Roger "Trooper" DeMarco and Gaylen Ross as Francine "Fran" ("Flygirl") Parker. Yeah there's only four actors in this entire film but that's not including any of the characters that have either small roles or cameo appearences tho but I do think that it's interesting that there's only four main actors in this film since it would have been super easy to populate the mall setting with a ton of characters but no they makers of this film chose just to have four characters which oddly makes the film feel alot more personal in my humble and very honest opinion anyways.

In terms of what I thought about the acting that's presented to us in this film in all honesty the acting in this film is so freaking good and I say that the acting that's presented to us in this in film is so freaking good is so freaking good simply because I honestly believe it to be true. Simply because every actor in this film is clearly giving it their best and what helps the acting in my opinion is the fact that the script for this film is so freaking good with all of the characters being really / very well written and as such all the actors would have to do is just say the lines as they are written and boom a good performance would come out naturally but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as in my honest opinion anyways.

This film does alot of things that 1968's "Night Of The Living Dead" simply couldn't do like for example this film shows us alot more zombies which in my opinion makes the zombie threat alot freaking bigger. Simply because instead of just having a handful of zombies show up we now having anywhere between twenty to fifty zombies all show up which means that are four four lead characters are in much more of a bigger threat but that's just in my opinion anyways.

Another thing that this film does that 1968's "Night Of The Living Dead" didn't do is the fact that this film is in color. Which honestly really does work for the film since this film is stunning to look at but at the same time it also makes the zombies look pretty silly since you can tell that the zombies are painted blue for some reason which doesn't work well at all if anything making the zombies either green or peach would have worked better since it would have made the zombie look more scary which should always be the end goal when your making a zombie movie but that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls to me this film is less of a zombie and is more a drama since there is a huge portion of the film features no zombies or zombie action whatsoever. Which I have to say that I kind of liked that approach to the film purely because it gives us the viewers / audiences who's watching this film a chance to connect with the characters and it allows a sense of dread to build up which just wouldn't be the case if there was zombie action in this film every five minuets or so but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well is in my very , very honest opinion anyways.

Now after doing some very quick research on this films Wikipedia I found out that this film is the fourth film that the great make up effects artist Tom Savini ever worked and my god do the special make up effects look so good. Every single make up effect in this film just looks so freaking cool and i'm not going to lie some of the make up effects in this actually had me a little bit scared simply because that's how good they looked but that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinion anyways / indeed.

One of the negative things that I have to say about this film is it's running time because this film is two hours and nineteen minuets and twenty six seconds long and it really didn't need to be that long at all in my humble and very honest opinion. Heck you could have cut alot of the middle portion of this film out to bring this film down to say one hour and forty five minuets and you would have lost nothing if importance but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls this is a zombie movie after all and so that means that I have to talk about the kills that are presented to us in this / the actual film itself and if i'm being honest the kills in this film are simply stunning to look and i say that the kills that are presented to us in this film are simply stunning to look at because that's where we get to see some of the great makeup effects work from Tom Savini. It also helps that this film makes you care for the characters and to you really do feel something that when die / start to die but that's just in my humble and very honest opinion anyways.

Overall this is a really good film and not just a great zombie film or a great horror film but a great film in general. Yes there are some bad things in this film but for me in this case the good things that are in this film far outweigh the bad things that are in this film and since i've talked about both of the good and the both of the bad things that are featured / presented to us in this film this film gets an 8.5 out of 10 from me , as for where I got the images that I used in this film well I got all of the images that I used in this film from either the official Night Of The Living Dead fandom wiki page or Google Images with Google Images being my preferred website to use to get images from this film from simply because google Images has a wide variety of images from this film which simply wasn't the case with the official Night Of The Living Dead fandom wiki page and so we end this horror themed / horror movie review as we always do with our one true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very , very unpleasant dreams indeed.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre 1974 Film Review

Horror fans I own quite a few eighties and I think I might possibly own some nineties horror movies but there's only one seventies horror movie that I actually own and what's shocking is when I first bought this film I think nearly twenty years ago I had no idea how iconic the film that I currently own was and hell I even forgot that I owned the film for at least fifteen or so years. As such I thought that it was only right that I dig this this film out of the box that it was in and review it and so here is my review of the 1974 slasher horror film classic with the film it self being called simply "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Sally Hardesty her brother Franklin Hardesty and there friends Kirk , Jerry and Pam go and visit Sally and Franklin's old family homestead and while there they run into a group of people that will force the group into a fight for their very lives. In terms of what I thought about the plot of this film in all honesty the plot of this film is really freaking good in my opinion since even tho the plot of this film is very simple it's also very easy to follow which is always a good thing no matter type of film your making but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble as well as in my very honest opinions anyways.

Starring in this film is Marilyn Burns as Sally Hardesty , Paul A. Partain as Franklin Hardesty and William Vail as Kirk. Also starring in this film is Allen Danziger as Jerry , Teri McMinn as Pam , the late and always great in everything that he's in the horror icon that is Gunnar Hansen as Leatherface , Edwin Neal as The Hitchhike , Jim Siedow as The Cook ,John Dugan as Grandpa Sawyer and in his debut film appearance we have the great John Larroquette as This Films Narrator.

In terms of what I thought about the acting that's presented to us in this film in all honesty the acting that's presented to us in this film is really freaking good and I say that the acting that's presented to us in this film is really freaking good simply because this film was a low budget film and nobody / no one expects great acting from a low budget film. As such it's wonder that the acting is as good as it is because alot of these actors yes including John Larroquette were unknowns when this film was both being made and was being released and yet all of the actors in this film turned in some really great performances in my humble and as well in my very honest opinion anyways.

Now I have to talk a second to talk about the character of Sally Hardesty simply because I feel that how the character of Sally Hardesty is treated in this film is very freaking interesting in my humble and very honest opinion. Since she's treated like she's a normal girl and as such we don't get to find out that much about her which would be a bad thing for a lot of films but since this film presents itself and it's story and it's characters as being kind of in a found footage type film not being able to find that much about Sally Hardesty oddly makes alot of sense and it makes her seem alot more and a lot more like a real girl instead of a fictional character written by some hollywood writers but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble as well as in my very honest opinions anyways.

Now then boys and girls the DVD that I personally have of this film was released back in I believe it was 2006 but I could be wrong so don't hold me to that and well everything from the DVD cover to the freaking menu just screamed boring to me. Since both the DVD cover and the DVD main menu were so boring and so uninspired that it made the whole thing look cheap and on top of that I noticed that were was some possible scaling issues since the bottom half of some of the actors names on the lower half of the films official cast list gets cut of as such I think that however was in charge of importing this film onto DVD simply used a VHS print of the movie and didn't bother to make sure that what they were putting out was a good or even passable product heck the quality of the image isn't even that good either which to me seems like the maker of this pacific DVD just wanted to make some money as fast and as cheaply as possible and so they didn't put any effort into making sure that what they were putting out was actually good but that's just what I think anyways.

Now then boys and girls The Texas Chain Saw Massacre film franchise has become exactly like the Halloween fil franchise. In that both franchises have multiple different timelines and remakes and soon they'll both have sequels that features characters from there respective franchises first films / movies however unlike the Halloween film franchise where there actually is this little thing called continuity there is very little to no continuity in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre film franchise as such anyone who wants to get into this franchise can start from any film in the franchise which I honestly like just because it would be to overwhelming having to watch several other films in order to understand the one film that you actually want to watch but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinions anyways.

What this film gets right about the character of Leatherface is the one thing that alot of entries in The Texas chain Massacre film franchise gets wrong and that's the fact that Leatherface works better as a character when he's surrounded by his family. I don't know why alot of the films in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre film franchise choose to have Leatherface be the main star of the film because as a character he doesn't work that well on his own but if you give him his family and have the family act more of an ensemble then the character of Leatherface works really well but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as my honest opinions anyways.

Now then boys and girls i've been very positive on this film thus far but there are some things in the film that I personally didn't like about the actual film itself. The first of which being the fact that the title of the film is a lie because there's no massacre and only one of the kills actually happens with a chainsaw and the second thing that I didn't like about this film is the fact that even tho Franklin is built up to be the hero of this film the film doesn't do a good job or even a half decent job of building Sally as the main hero of the film and so as such when Franklin is killed and we find out that Sally is this films final girl it doesn't feel as earned as it perhaps should have been but that's in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinions anyways.

Now then boys and girls I don't recall the exact running time for this film but I do know that this film is at least one hour and twenty minuets long. Which in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinions seems like the right amount of time for this film simply because there's not alot there in terms of story and as such even getting the film up to one hour and twenty five minuets or even one hour and thirty minuets would be stretching an already thin story even thinner and it would make the issues that I personally have with the film seem even bigger then what they already are but that's just in my humble and very honest opinion anyways.

Now then boys and girls since the The Texas Chain Saw Massacre film franchise is a slasher film franchise that means that there are some kills to be found in this very film and that means that I have to talk about the actual kills that are to be found in this very film and if i'm being honest the kills in this film are honestly really good. I say that the kills in this film are really good simply because even tho this film didn't have a huge budget the kills still look good and what I personally found to be well and truly shocking is the fact that there is not only very few kills (I think there's only four kills in this entire film) but that's just what I think about the kills that are presented to us in this film anyways and that's just in my personal opinion anyways.

Overall while I can see why people really love this film for me personally this film isn't that good which is a shame because when this film gets something right it really does get that something right in my humble and very honest opinion anyways. Now then boys and girls since i've talked about both of the good things that are in this film and both of the bad things that are presented to us in this film in this very review this film gets a 7 out of 10 from me , as for where I got the images that I used in this review well I got all of the images that I used in this very review from either Google Images or the official The Texas Chain Saw Massacre fandom wiki page with my preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because there was a wide variety of images from this film to choose from which simply wasn't the case with the official The Texas Chain Saw Massacre fandom wiki page and as always horror fans we end this review as we always do with our one true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams.

Creepshow TV Series "Model Kid" AND "Public Television Of The Dead" SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Review

Ladies and gentlemen the reboot of Creepshow is finally back for it's second season and even tho I didn't watch the first season or any of the specials that this version of Creepshow produced. However for strange / odd reason I felt compelled to watch this season two premiere and well i'm super freaking glad that glad I did check this second season premiere episode of the TV series that is called simply Creepshow out and I have to say that the second story in this episode is the whole reason why i'm making review a spoiler filled review and so join me as I review the second season premiere episode of the TV show that is called simply "Creepshow" with the episode in question having stories that are called simply "Model Kid" and "Public Television Of The Dead" and so enjoy this very review everybody.

The plot of the first story which is called "Model Kid" is that after his mother dies a horror and monster movie loving kid finds a creative way to get back at his abusive Uncle and well i'm not going to say what the plot of the second story which is called simply "Public Television Of The Dead" just because it's a spoiler and I do feel that that story is best being seen without knowing the plot of that story is. In terms of what I thought about the plot to both stories I honestly preferred the plot of "Public Television Of The Dead" just due to how insane the plot of "Public Television Of The Dead" really as well as how fun the plot to "Public Television Of The Dead" really is but that's just what I personally think and that's just in my humble and as well as my very honest opinion that is anyways.

Starring in this episode is  Brock Duncan as Joe Aurora , Tyner Rushing as June , Jana Allen as Barb , Kevin Dillon as Kevin , Chris Schmidt Jr. as Billy Niles and Nick Morgan as The Horror Host. Also starring in this episode is Mark Ashworth as Norm Roberts , Marissa Chanel Hampton as Claudia Aberlan , Coley Campany as Mrs. Bookberry , Todd Allen Durkin as George , Peter Leake as Goodman Tapert and Jason Kehler as The Announcer.

In terms of what I thought about the acting that's presented to us in this episode in all honesty the acting that's presented to us in this season two premiere episode of the TV show that is called simply Creepshow is in my opinion really freaking good and I say that the acting that's featured in this season two premiere episode of the TV show that is called simply Creepshow is in my opinion really freaking good simply because. The acting in any episode that's been directed by Greg Nicotero has always been top notch and as such it really shouldn't surprise anyone that the acting that's presented to us in the season premiere episode of the TV show that is called simply Creepshow because Greg Nicotero is only a director on this show but is also one of it's writers and one of it's producers and as such the acting in this show as whole is always going to be good but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as in my very honest opinions anyways.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we come to the entire reason that this review is now officially a SPOILERS FREE and as such everything from this point onwards until I give you my overall thoughts on the scares that are in this episode and as such everything up until that point is a spoiler because yes the entire second story which is called simply "Public Television Of The Dead" is pretty much set in the world of The Evil Dead film franchise and I say that because not only does Ted Raimi play himself in "Public Television Of The Dead" but he also brings along the Necronomicon.. Which does get used and that means that we get to see Deadites.

I honestly cannot believe that entire segment of the Creepshow TV series was dedicated to making something that is pretty an homage to The Evil Dead film franchise and i'm shocked that more film and TV shows haven't done something similar. Since there are plenty of iconic moments from The Evil Dead film franchise that you could pay homage to in either a feature length film or in an episode of a TV or in this case a segment of either an anthology film or a segment of an anthology TV show but that's just what I personally think anyways and that's just my humble and very honest opinions anyways.

Now then boys and girls i've been pretty positive on this episode so far but there are some things that I didn't like about this episode as a whole. The first of which being the fact that the first story which again is called simply "Model Kid" made the supposed hero of that particular story the villain which while it does make sense in context of the story you never want to be cheering for the villain of your story and while Uncle Kevin's death is certainly earned it comes out of nowhere as does the final twist of that story which is that the supposed her of the story which again is called simply "Model Kid" has now somehow grown real vampire fangs which doesn't make sense at all but that's just what I think anyways.

The total running time for this episode is fifty two minuets and six seconds which means that each segment is roughly around twenty two to possibly twenty five minuets long but there's a huge chance that I could be wrong about that tho so please don't hold me to that. I honestly feel that the running time of this episode is another issue because it means that both stories have very rushed conclusions which more often then not come out of nowhere which is a shame because both of this episodes stories could very well be the story for a feature length film but that's just in my humble and very honest opinion anyways.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now then horror fans since this is horror TV show after all that means that I have I have to talk about the scares that are featured in this actual episode itself or at least I would if the makers of this particular episode chose to include anything even close to being scary. This right here is another issue since there's nothing scary included in both stories which makes sense for the second story since the second story is inspired by the later and more darkly comedic Evil Dead movies but it doesn't make sense for the first story where the supposed main hero loves horror movies and as well as monster movies and as such you'd think that some effort would have gone into giving that story some really good scares but sadly they don't and that's the same for both stories but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my personal and humble and very honest opinions anyways.

Overall this was honestly a really good episode and this was a really good start of to season two of the Creepshow TV shows in my very humble and as well my very honest opinions anyways. However this isn't a perfect episode and since i've talked about both of the good things and both of the bad things in this particular episode in this very review and as such this episode gets total score of an 8.5 out of 10 from me and yes i'm including both stories in that ranking.

As for where I got all of the images that I used in this review well I got all of the images that I used in this review from the official Creepshow TV Series fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my preferred website to used to get images from this episode being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this episode which sadly the same cannot be said for the official Creepshow TV Series fandom wiki page and so as always horror fans we end this review as we always do which is with our true goddess which is of course Elvira , Mistress Of The Dark wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams indeed.

Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
