A Nightmare On Elm Street 1984 Film Review

Horror fans there are quite alot of truly iconic horror villains out there with one of those villains being Freddy Krueger and since i'm a huge Freddy Krueger fan. You just know that I had to check out the film that started it all for Freddy Krueger and yeah it was a pure joy to back and watch this film and so then join me as I review the film that launched Robert England to superstardom in the horror world with the film in question being called simply just "A Nightmare On Elm Street" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Nancy and her friends have to survive a killer that kills you in your dreams with the catch being that if you die in your dreams then you die in real life as well. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking good with this films main plotline being not only very well written but also very engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Heather Langenkamp as Nancy Thompson and John Saxon as Lt. Donald "Don" Thompson. Also starring in this film is of course the great Robert Englund as Fred "Freddy" Krueger , Johnny Depp as Glen Lantz , Ronee Blakley as Marge Thompson , Amanda Wyss as Christina "Tina" Gray , Nick Corri as Rod Lane , Leslie Hoffman as Hall Guard , Joseph Whipp as Sgt. Parker and Charles Fleischer as Dr. King.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films main cast of actor and actresses giving some truly wonderful and some truly memorable performances which help make this film so freaking good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film features alot of truly iconic scenes all of which still hold up very well to this very day. This is because this film made great use of practical effects which will always look better then CGI effects because of the fact that CGI is always improving and this film is a great case for why practical effects will always look better then CGI effects will freaking do in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film has quite a few iconic characters within it even tho one of those characters is only iconic due to whom is playing him. What really does help these characters out quite alot is the fact that nearly all of them are written well yes characters like Rod and Glen aren't written that well but when we do get a well written character like Nancy or Freddy it really does go to show you how good of a freaking writer that the late writer and director Wes Craven well and truly was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not going to lie and say that all of this films practical effects look good because in truth they really don't. Like for example Freddy's arms growing just doesn't look that good anymore an the ending "death" scene with Nancy's mother being dragged through her door just looks really fake but the bad practical effects are very few and far between with this film having alot more actually good freaking practical effects that freaking still hold up well to this very day in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This is something that I really didn't notice until watching the film for this review but you can actually see Rod running into frame just before the character scares the other main characters. Just to explain what I mean if you pay close attention to one of the scenes in Tina's house when Glen walks over carrying something if you look in the back window you can just about see somebody running into what we know now would be Tina's back garden and I just loved that little attention to detail that no director would have bothered to include but the fact that it's included here just goes to show how much of stickler that Wes Craven was when it came to those small little pieces of detail in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot remember whatever this films grand total running even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and twenty seven minuets. Which for a film like is is pretty much the bogstanderd running time and to this films credit it does make great use of that running time but at the same time tho I do wish that this film was a little bit longer just so we could then get a little bit more world building done and little bit character development for all of this films main cast of characters which just simply isn't possible with this films current running time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this film is a slasher horror film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film are in all honesty really freaking cool. With all but Rod's death scene being a truly iconic death scene which for a slasher film is always going to be a very freaking good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film and the Scream films are Wes Craven's magnum opus for me since both sets of films are so good and are so influential on the horror genre as a whole that they deserve all of the respect that they get in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has images from this film up on Google Images and pus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always do with our ne and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams.

Resident Evil: Degeneration Film Review

Resident Evil fans the Resident Evil franchise seems to only spawn bad or guilty pleasure live action movies. However there's one piece of media that even most die hard Resident Evil fans don't even talk about and those are the 3D CGI animated movies and well I thought that I would put a stop to that today and so then join me as I review the film that actually brought to key characters back together for the first time in decades with the film in question being called simply just "Resident Evil: Degeneration" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy stumble onto a company whom plans to use a new virus called the G-Virus and sell it of to the highest bidder. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plotline being genuinely quite engaging in parts in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Paul Mercier as Leon S. Kennedy , Alyson Court as Claire Redfield and Laura Bailey as Angela Miller. Also starring in this film is Roger Craig Smith as Curtis Miller , Crispin Freeman as Frederic Downing , Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Rani's Aunt , Michelle Ruff as Rani Chawla , Michael Sorich as Senator Ron Davis , Steven Blum as Greg Glenn and Salli Saffioti as Ingrid Hunnigan.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very was in all honesty really freaking good. Which really shouldn't come as a surprise to absolutely anybody whatsoever as alot of this films cast are alot of really good voice actors in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the animation in this film is of course the legends and the greats that are currently over at Digital Frontier. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that he actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was for the most part really good but then there are some scenes that have the animation quality of a last Playstation 2 video game in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then unlike the live action Resident Evil films this film is actually set within the exact same continuity as the games. With this film taking place inbetween a few of the games which does make this film feel less important because of the fact that we know that all of the key characters that are in this film are going to make it out OK because of the fact that appear in the later games but having this film set within the same continuity as the Resident Evil games is also a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I think that we can all agree that this film is at it's best when it's in the airport simply because a zombie that's set within the confides of an airport has to my knowledge never been done before. This very idea right there is more then strong enough to support an entire and it makes the movie all the more scarier because of the fact that the zombies could quite literally come out of absolutely anywhere whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I really do think that this film becomes less interesting the very second that they leave the airport simply because of the fact that it then becomes just another generic zombie movie with no creative locations. Which is such a freaking shame because with the airport setting this film would already have a really freaking creative location for a freaking zombie movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films exact grand total running time was I do know that for a fact this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and thirty minuets. Which if true is a bit on the short side for a film like this simply because there's so much more there interms of plot and story and squeezing it all into one one hour and thirty minuet just does such a disservice to this film and to this films main plotline in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then since this film is a horror film after all that means that I have to actually talk about the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this films zombies looking really good the only issue is tho is that they do nothing that's new or all that interesting with the zombies in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film whilst being a really fun and entertaining film is also a film that wastes it's unique airport setting however when this film does get something right tho it really does get it right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that me and that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally used in this very review from Amazon . Co .Uk , IMP Awards .

Night Of The Demons 1988 Film Review

Horror fans it's been a good few months since I last reviewed an eighties horror film and well then I thought that now was the absolutely right time to take a look back into the world of eighties horror and well then I do have a film for you. Since this film dares itself to be better then both Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street and I know this because it says so right there on the poster so then join me as I review the film that kickstarted an entire franchise with the film in question being the original 1988 film version of "Night Of The Demons" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a group of friends go to a party and each one of them becomes possessed and it's up to two of the friends to fight against the demon upraising if they hope to survive the night. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film is in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue since this films plotline isn't that particularly all of that very good either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Dallas star Cathy Podewell as Judy , franchise star Amelia Kinkade as Angela Franklin and William Gallo as Sal Romero. Also starring in this film is Alvin Alexis as Rodger , horror scream queen and horror legend Linnea Quigley as Suzanne , Lance Fenton as Jay Jansen , Hal Havins as Stooge , Allison Barron as Helen , Philip Tanzini as Max , Jill Terashita as Frannie and Donnie Jeffcoat, Jr as Billy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really freaking bad. Apart from Linnea Quigley whom is just a joy to watch in this film the acting from the rest of cast as wooden at best and that is never a freaking good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then as I quite clearly stated at the very start of this film review this film wad the first film in a franchise of films. Since this film spawned two sequels both of which also starred Amelia Kinkade as Angela Franklin and I 2010 remake and well I have to wonder how the makers of this film got not one but two sequels out of this film since this films storyline was all wrapped up at the end of this film and so making sequel to this film just seemed pointless to me since there's no where that you can now go with the storyline in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm just going to be straight up honest alot of this films main cast of characters are really unlikable characters. Heck I counted only one semi decent person in this entire and the character of Rodger heck even the main female character comes across as being fairly unlikeable at times but she gets of easy compared to her younger brother whom for some strange reason is both unlikable and creepy at the exact same time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What I didn't mind about this film is the fact that it had a character that played into the rumours that people were putting razor blades into kids Halloween. Simply because it not only has a great if somewhat predictable pay off but it also adds some dark humour to the film and well a film like this really did need to be a comedy since then the filmmakers could say that this film was bad on purpose in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Since this franchises main villain is Angela Franklin you'd think that the film would go into detail as what it is that makers her this evil person and while the film does somewhat serve as her origin story if you will. There's no screen dedicated to telling us this character is evil she's just evil for the sake of being evil and that doesn't make for an interesting villain it instead makes for a rather boring and bland villain in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty minuets and six seconds. Which is about the right amount of time for a film like this very film to last however it takes almost a full hour to get to the first real kill of the film which means that we are stuck with a bunch of characters that we really don't like however once the kills do start they come fairly quick and fast and the film does pick some pace after that first hour as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then since this film is a horror film after all that means that I gave to actually talk about the actual horror thats actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty thought / felt that the actual actual horror that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film wasn't all of that very good. Since this film isn't all that scary and while we do get some really cool kills alot of this film kills happen off screen which is always going to be a very bad thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this really doesn't need saying but i'm going to say it anyways but I think that this film is a really bad film yes there is a lot potential in this film but it's bogged down by a really bad script amongst many other things in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and well then that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 4.5 out of 10 from me.

Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
