Beetlejuice Film Review

Horror fans every single Halloween I try to watch something scary or something that I haven't seen before. Well this film most certainly fits into one of those categories as I genuinely haven't seen this film which is weird because I grew up with watching the cartoon but up until I haven't seen the film and so then join me as I review the film that helped to make director Tim Burton a household name with the film in question being called simply just "Beetlejuice" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a recently dead couple Adam and Barbara Maitland hire somebody to haunt their house for them and when things go awry the Maitland's and the Deetz's have to come together to get rid of this pest once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was really good as well as being very fun and really creative as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Alec Baldwin as Adam Maitland , Geena Davis as Barbara Maitland and Annie McEnroe as Jane Butterfield. Also starring in this film is Michael Keaton as Betelgeuse , Jeffrey Jones as Charles Deetz , Catherine O'Hara as Delia Deetz , Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz , Sylvia Sidney as Juno , Robert Goulet as Maxie Dean , Dick Cavett as Bernard , Glenn Shadix as Otho , Maree Cheatham as Sarah Dean , Tony Cox as a Preacher , Jack Angel as The Voice Of The Preacher and Susan Kellermann as Grace.

Now then interms of what I  personally thought / felt about the acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bd. With all of this films cast turning some really good performances with both Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder really nailing their respective characters in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The best kind of effects are the ones that have you wondering how they managed to pull that effect of and that's true with alot of the effects in this film. Since this films does use alot of effects alot of which were very easy to work out how they did it there was also quite a few scenes in this film that had me wondering how they managed to create that effect and that for me at least will always be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is rated PG and it really does ern it's PG rating since unlike alot of movies that have that rating but don't really ern it. This film erns that rating by the one hour mark since we see alot of scary imagery , a few decapitations and one of the main characters tries to force a teenage girl to marry him and that's on top of all of the shall we say more adult jokes so bottom line if you want a good example of how to use the PG rating look at this film and other films from the eighties and don't look at films that were made within the last ten years or so in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

One of the things that I really didn't like about this film is the fact that they don't really give a reason for the Maitland's to hate the Deetz's. Which only makes Adam and Barbera seem very egotistical since they hate the Deetz's for no reason whatsoever and based of what they see of them the Deetz's do seem like a pretty nice family and yet Adam and Barbera don't want this nice family living in what used to be their home and so I really d wish that the film gave us a reason as to why Adam and Barbera hate the Deetz's since that's a plot point in this movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

As much of a fun and at times rather funny character the Lydia is we don't really get to see what her personality actually is. As such her personality for the most part her personality changes from scene to scenes depending on what that scene requires her personality to be and heck the film just straight up drops her whole photography hobby for no reason which is a shame since they really could've done something creative and cool with that in this film but for some strange reason they just drop it all together and so then it comes across as being rather pointless since it adds nothing to either the character or the plot of this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty two minutes and five seconds. Which really do just fly by which just goes to show you not only how perfect this running time is for this film but also how perfectly aced this film is since this film isn't afraid to slow things down and give us some slight character moments which really does help this film out in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a comedy that means that I have to actually talk about the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual comedy that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With alot of this films jokes not only landing but landing hard and while yes there are one or two bad jokes in this film they are in the minority and do not represent the majority in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while i'm so glad to have finally seen this film I almost wish that I hadn't just because I could then pretend that it was this perfect film but this was still a very fun film to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because of the fact Google Images actually has alot of images from this film up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always freaking do with our one and true freaking goddess Elvira wishing us all some very freaking unpleasant dreams indeed.

My First Impressions Of The Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet Of Curiosities TV Series

Horror fans it's a slightly rare thing that we get a brand new horror themed TV show let alone one that's made and hosted by one of the most renowned directors out there in Guillermo Del Toro. Well now the man behind the best Blade sequel ever made has made a TV show and well then I just had to check this show out and so then join me as I give you my first impressions of the show that has been getting rave reviews online with the show in question being called simply just "Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet Of Curiosities" enjoy.

The plot of these first two episodes is a man who is down on his luck comes across something demonic in a storage unit that he just bought and a graveyard caretaker tries to stave of giant rats while he digs a grave. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really good with the first episode having the better plot of the two episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these first two episodes are Tim Blake Nelson as Nick Appleton and Sebastian Roché as Roland. Also starring in these first two episodes are Elpidia Carrillo as Emilia , Demetrius Grosse as Eddie , David Hewlett as Masson and Nabeel El Khafif as Hans Overfist and finally we have the shows creator and executive producer amongst many other roles that fills in this show Guillermo Del Toro as Himself.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really good. With the acting being alot better then it really had any right to be and really alot better then what I really thought that it would be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show is based upon the 2013 book of the exact same name with both the book and the show having involvement from Guillermo Del Toro. I really have no idea if this show adapts any stories from the book since i've not read nor even heard of the book but since the first episode of this show "Lot 36" is based upon a short story by Guillermo Del Toro himself I have to imagine that this show got that story from the book but I could be wrong tho but I will admit that it'd be great if this show did adapt stories from the book in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The closest show that I can compare this show is the original The Twilight Zone since both shows have a host and both shows have stories that are adapted from short stories. Heck even Guillermo Del Toro himself acts and talks a little bit the The Twilight Zone host , writer and creator Rod Sterling so for me this show is a modern day take on what they did on the original The Twilight Zone in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show is described as being both equally sophisticated and horrific and that's the best way to describe this show. Since it has both equally sophisticated storytelling that's almost worthy of being in a feature length film and yet since it's a horror show it's also not afraid to scare you not only with the monsters that we get in these first two episodes but also in it's ideas and how certain people are being presented in these first two episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that i'm in two minds about how Netflix is releasing this show since they are releasing two episodes per-day all the way until this Friday. Since this hasn't been the Netflix way of releasing things and so it really doesn't make sense for them to change it up now since to me this show is made to be watched in one sitting just because of the fact that it's an anthology show and so then releasing this show they way that they are doing just doesn't make any kind of sense whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then episode one of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty six minuets and eighteen seconds and episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty eight minuets and twenty two seconds. With episode one having the better running time just because of the fact that it makes the best use of it's running time whereas episode two just felt like it was twenty minuets to long since it didn't need to be as long as it was which just wasn't the case with episode one of this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since is a horror show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes were in all honesty really good. With both of these first two episodes being genuinely quite scary and really creepy which for a horror show is always going to be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall so far this show does seem to be like a really creepy that might be worth watching altho if truth be told i'd wait until the end of the week and ten just binge the whole series in one sitting if I were you all since that might be the best way to watch this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this very post and while i'm not going to give this show a rating I MIGHT review some more of the episodes on Friday but only time will indeed tell.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this post from IMP Awards . Com , the official The Twilight Zone fandom wiki page ,the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page simply because of the fact Google Images actually has alot of images from this film up on the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always freaking do with our one and true freaking goddess Elvira wishing us all some very freaking unpleasant dreams indeed.

Saw IV AKA Saw 4 Film Review

The Saw franchise is perhaps one of the longest horror franchises apart from the Chucky franchise that is. With each three Saw films telling one story and the overall Saw films telling one complete story and as such I thought that it was about right to take a look at the first film in a new Saw trilogy and so then join me as I review the film that introduces us to a new Jigsaw killer with the film in question being called simply just "Saw IV" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a Police officer who is obsessed with stopping the Jigsaw killer for good suddenly finds himself in a Jigsaw game. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot just being the stereotypical Saw film plot and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Tobin Bell as John Kramer / Jigsaw and Costas Mandylor as Detective Mark Hoffman. Also starring in this film is Scott Patterson as Agent Peter Strahm , Betsy Russell as Jill Tuck , Lyriq Bent as Officer Daniel Rigg , Athena Karkanis as Agent Lindsey Perez , Justin Louis as Art Blank , Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Eric Matthews , Angus Macfadyen as Jeff Denlon , Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young , Bahar Soomekh as Lynn Denlon , Mike Realba as Detective Fisk and Dina Meyer as Detective Allison Kerry.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast doing their best to make what little this films script gives them to work with work well enough for them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The saw franchise is perhaps the best horror franchise when it comes to setting things up and paying things off. Since this film pays off things that were set up in both Saw 2 and Saw 3 respectively with the character of Eric Matthews who of course made his debut appearance in Saw 2 and appeared again in Saw 3 where something happens to him off screen well here we find out that he's been missing for six months while this new game was being set up and of course there's the character of Detective Mark Hoffman somebody who was only a background character in Saw 3 but here it's revelled that he has a much bigger role in the franchise moving forward that's just how good this film is at setting things up and paying them off in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course this film takes place at the exact same time as the events of Saw 3 which while that is a pretty cool idea on paper. It's not something that's worked all that well into the final film since we only get one scene with the character from Saw 3 and that's it and as such I would have liked it if we got to see more events from Saw 3 seen through the eyes of the characters from Saw 4 just to show a new prospective on things since that would have been pretty cool to see in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not really a big fan of this film showing certain events out of chronological order since in this case it doesn't really serve the story all that well. All it does is serve the big reveal at the end which is fine but the main focus of the film should always be the story and not the ending twist of the film but at the same time that autopsy scene is a pretty creepy and a very gory scene to see play out in this movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another thing that I take issue with in this film is the fact that the death of Eric Matthews a character that we've known since Saw 2 just isn't that satisfying. I will admit that his death is kind of cool but at the same time tho the character has no impact on this films plot and the character has been presented as a character who had anger issues in Saw 2 but who was learning from that experience and becoming a better person and as such he didn't really need to die in this film at all at least not in this way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely live of me remember what ever this films running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact running time of roughly one hour an thirty minuets. Which is kind of the bog-standard running time for these Saw sequels but this film really could have been alot longer since there's quite alot of story there to easily get this film up to at the very least one hour and forty minuets and yet for some reason the makers of this film chose to make this film around one hour and thirty minuets which really does hurt this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a Saw film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty good. With alot of this films traps being pretty creepy and having some very gory and scary outcomes which for a Saw film is always want your traps to be like in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is good start to this new trilogy of Saw films but at the same time it's film that could have been quite alot better since it does have alot of promise to it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official Saw fandom wiki page and Google Images.

Halloween Ends Film SPOILERS FILM Review

Ladies and gentlemen the day that we have mostly all been waiting for is now finally upon us as we have a new Halloween film to enjoy. I have to say that i've been looking forward to seeing this film simply because of the fact that I wanted to see how they ended this current timeline and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that promised so much with the film in question being called simply just "Halloween Ends" enjoy.

The plot of this film is four years after the events of Halloween Kills Laurie has moved on from Michael Myers but her past is about to catch up with and she'll have confront it one last time. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty average at best which is a shame because the idea of seeing Laurie Strode moving on from Michael Myers is a pretty solid it's just ashame that this films plot doesn't do this great idea any kind of justice in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this films executive producer Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson. Also starring in this film is Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins , Rohan Campbell as Corey Cunningham , Michael O'Leary as Dr. Mathis , Omar Dorsey as Sheriff Barker , Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace , James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers / The Shape and Nick Castle as The Voice Of Michael Myers / The Shape.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast doing their best to make this films script work but sadly even this casts solid performances simply cannot make this films script work for them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Without giving anything away but I will say that the theory that I came up with in my Halloween Kills review. Pretty much came true since some of characters who had bigger roles in Halloween Kills have alot smaller roles when it comes to this film however sadly that also means that the one character who shouldn't have a small role in this film has a very small role when it comes to this film and that really does not only hurt this film but it also hurts this whole trilogy because it's something that shouldn't have happened in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Just to carry on what I was just saying the one character that you don't really want to have a smaller role in these films is Michael Myers and yet he's the one character that has a smaller role in this film. Which even from a storyline standpoint doesn't make that much sense it just happens because of reasons and that's it but when Michael does come into play it does make scenes with all the more entertaining and the all more fun to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is the first film in this trilogy to have a time jump with this film taking place four years after the event s of both Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills. Which I do kind of like just because it gave us the chance to see what the town of Haddonfield would be like after they formed a mob and tried and failed to kill Michael Myers and it was interesting seeing that the town of Haddonfield doesn't fully trust Laurie because of the events of both Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills and to this films credit it does take advantage of that idea in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What I both liked and disliked about this film is that they gave us a great way for this franchise to continue with out Michael Myers in the character of Corey Cunningham. Who the vast majority of the film was being built up as the franchises next big killer but because franchise rights owner Malek Akkad has it in his contract that Michael Myers cannot be killed the great character work and build up that went into Corey Cunningham adds up to nothing as he gets killed of by Michael in this films third act which makes me wonder why bother building this character up in this first place since it's not going to help your film out at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minuets and fifty three seconds. Which is a tad bit on the long side for this film and as such this film does feel quite boring at times even more so when take into account that it takes us a good while for us to see Michael Myers in this film and as such all we are left with is seeing these characters just going about their average day to day lives and that's just not that fun nor is it that interesting to see in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film are in all honesty pretty take. Especially when compared to the kills of Halloween Kills which of course had that famous firemen slaughter scene here the only kill that comes even remotely close to that is a kill in car wreckers yard thing and that's really it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this film was such a huge let down from a timeline that had so much potential to be the best Halloween timeline out their and yet both this film and Halloween Kills just couldn't live up to that potential in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Halloween fandom wiki page and Google Images.

Halloween Kills Film Review

Horror fans we are just a  few short days from the final film in yet another Halloween timeline and wow did this one sneak up on me. Even tho I knew what day and date Halloween Ends was coming out I still thought that I had more time in order to produce the tie in review but nevertheless i'm here now with the tie in review and so then join me as I review the film that brought back a ton of legacy characters with the film in question being called simply just "Halloween Kills" enjoy.

The plot of this film is after seemingly killing of Michael Myers for good Laurie and surviving family find out that he's still alive and so then the whole town of Haddonfield goes to hunt him down before he gets to Laurie. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but the issue is that this films plot feels like the stereotypical plot of the middle film in a franchise and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode , Judy Greer as Karen Nelson and Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson. Also starring in this film is Will Patton as Deputy Frank Hawkins , Jacob Keohane as Deputy Tobias , Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle , The Haunting Of Hill House star Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam , Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam , Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett , Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace , Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers , James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers / The Shape and director and screenwriter Nick Castle as The Voice Of Michael Myers / The Shape.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which given who is starring in this film isn't all that surprising and the film really does deserve all of the credit that it gets for the acting in this film as the acting that we get in this film is really that good in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

For some strange reason this film likes to pad out it's running time by including alot and I do mean alot of flashbacks. This wouldn't be an issue if the flashbacks added something new to the story but they really don't all they do is just tell us things that we already knew happened and so they come across as being pointless they might add things to the story of Halloween Ends but interms if this film they really do just across as padding and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Despite being a main character Laurie Strode really doesn't have that big of a role in this film and well I kind of have a theory as to why. Since if you look at both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame the characters that got alot of screen time in Avengers: Infinity War didn't get that much screen time when it came to Avengers: Endgame well I think that this will be the case when it comes to this film so basically expect Laurie to get alot more focus in Halloween Ends and expect Allyson to get alot less screen time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

That being said however I do think that Laurie should have gotten alot more screen time in this film since she is the arch rival of Michael Myers. This would also make sense for this current version of the character since this version of the character has been all about getting revenge on Michael Myers and wanting to see him dead and so then having her be sidelined for the entire movie while the town goes out to kill Michael Myers just doesn't make sense at all for either the character or the plot of this movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

To me this film really doesn't take full advantage of the whole town basically becoming one big mob since you only see them together in a few big scenes. To me it would be alot more impactful if we saw burning down the Myers house as a way to lure Michael out of the house only for him not to be there and to show them killing of a few more innocent people since showing them kill of an innocent mental patient was a good idea in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty five minuets and twelve seconds. Which while this film has more then enough there interms of either plot or story it pads out it's running time with pointless flashbacks which as stated before in this very review add nothing to this very film and heck I think that this film would have flowed alot better if all except the opening flashback scene was removed from this film because that's how pointless they are and that's how much that really do they pad out this films running time in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and was rather rightfully the best part of the film. Since we got to see Michael Myers kill people in some really and in some rather brutal ways in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film felt more like a feature length trailer to Halloween Ends since it's more bothered with setting up things for that movie then it is in being an actually good and entertaining movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom wiki page , the official Halloween fandom wiki page and Google Images.

Pearl 2022 Film Review

Horror fans it's not unusual for a successful horror film to spawn a sequel or in this case prequel heck most of them would usually come out a year or two later. However this film is coming just a few months after it's film X was first released and well then since I was a huge fan of that film you all just knew that I had to check this film out the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I review the film that provides us with alot of backstory to the killer in X with the film in question being called simply just "Pearl" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Pearl is fed up with her life with working on her family's farm and dreams of becoming a movie star and will do anything to make sure that she gets her chance to achieve her dreams. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot actually being rather entertaining and quite engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is this films co-writer and executive producer Mia Goth as Pearl and Elementary guest star David Corenswet as The Projectionist. Also starring in this film is Jack the Giant Slayer ad Black Sheep star Tandi Wright as Ruth , Power Rangers S.P.D. and Power Rangers Dino Thunder guest star Matthew Sunderland as Pearl's Father , Emma Jenkins-Purro as Mitsy and Alistair Sewell as Howard.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the true standout star of this film being none other then Mia Goth herself who is just so freaking fantastic in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What I thought to be really interesting is the fact that they actually made Pearl a really likeable character. This really does work well in this film since her story is ultimately a tragedy that's wrapped within a horror movie since she was unable to achieve her dreams and so instead of coping with it the way sane people would she lashed out at those around her and forced herself to be happy in this life that she was quite clearly unhappy with living and when you add in the fact that X ended with her dying on the one place that she trying to escape from that makes her story a tragedy in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Like i've just said Pearl in this film is a very likable character which I found to be very surprising but it works. Since it makes her down fall all the tragic just having her killing people right from the start of the film just wouldn't have worked since we don't know what it is that's pushed her to that breaking point and so seeing her struggle with her domineering mother and having to look after her father it makes it seem all the more upsetting when she finally does get her first kill because now we've seen this very likable person get pushed and pushed further to the edge of insanity in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film has a rather cool production history since the writers of the film Mia Goth and director , editor and producer Ti West came up with the story during a mandatory two week quarantine before filming on X was even due to begin. Heck this film was even shot mere weeks after X had finished filming and was shot in secret I assume to keep the death of the killer a surprise and I have to admit this was a rather cool way to shoot this movie since it meant that literally everything could be a surprise but it also meant that there was very little time to work on the script for the film and sadly that's where this film starts to fall apart since it's not a very well written film at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

To me this film carries on telling it's story throughout it's ending credits since if you've seen the movie then you'll notice that Pearls smile becomes more and more strained as the ending credits continue to play. This leaves us with such a striking and memorable final image and I have to give the film credit for doing that since it's not that often that a film leaves you with a striking and memorable final image in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty six minuets exactly. I have to admit that this film should have been alot shorter since it really doesn't have that much their interms of either plot or story to cover that running time and so what your left with is just seeing Pearl go through her day to day life which is fine for a few minuets of a feature length film but when that's the entire film your left with a very bored audience and that's what I was for the vast majority of this film and that's not a good thing at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were in all honesty a very mixed bag of affairs fr me personally. Since even tho we did get plenty of good kills we sadly also got plenty of kills that just felt tame by comparison which for a slasher film isn't that good at all in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film was a worthy successor to the film X but I will admit that this film does indeed fall into the very traps that all prequel films that use the same characters as the first film does in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards .

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
