Hellsing: Ultimate VII Review

There are some properties that by there very nature are just made to be nothing more then popcorn filler and stuff that doesn't really require your brain in order to make it entertaining. This is the case with Hellsing Ultimate as this show always was and always will be nothing more then dumb fun with alot of cool moments being throne bust because of the fact that there cool and while the series has never really shied away from really having copious amounts of gore this episode really does take it up a level so consider this a gore warning as I review the episode that only really features two of the shows main hero characters in it with the episode in question being called simply just "Hellsing: Ultimate VII" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is with the Hellsing mansion under attack from hoards of vampires and both Integra and Alucard out fighting the vampire war in London it's up to the wounded Seras Victoria and the wounded group of mercenaries The Wild Geese to make sure that all of the vampires are killed of for good. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that;s actually featured / presented t us in this very episode well then in all honesty I inn all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / resented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really well done but at the same time it's also a plot that's on the weak side as well and where as that usually would be seen as being a bad thing in this episode and in this series as a whole it's also something that really does work out really well as not only was the plot of this episode set up in the previous episode but having a thin plot does allow for the episode to have alot more cool looking moments in it and not be withheld back by plot and logic and while yes it would have been nice if the plot of this episode was also a lot more stronger then what it is it's not something that needs to be done with this episode working out just fine with a plot that is rather on the thin side of things with the plot of this episode also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Yuri Lowenthal as Pip Bernadotte and Karen Strassman as Young Pip Bernadotte and Young Seras Victoria. Also starring in this episode is K.T. Gray as Seras Victoria , Rachel Robinson as Zorin Blitz , Laura Bailey as Schrödinger , Gildart Jackson as The Major , Dino Andrade as A Wild Geese Member , JB Blanc as An SS Leader , Kyle Hebert as A Wild Geese Member , Matthew Mercer as Attacker 2 , Patrick Seitz as Attacker 1 , Doug Stone as Grandfather Bernadotte , this shows voice director Taliesin Jaffe as A Wild Geese Member , Todd Stone as A Wild Geese Member , Zach Hanks as A Wild Geese Member and voice acting legend Travis Willingham as Wild Geese Deputy.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that;s actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good. With all of this episodes actors turning in some really good performances which really isn't all that shocking as alot of them are reprising there roles from the anime TV series and would there for know how best to perform there characters in any given situation with this being helped by the fact that alot of the actors who are playing none named characters are a bunch of really good actors in there own right all of which does make sense this episode acting would be really good as all you'd need to do is look at who is starring in this episode to see why the acting that's in this episode is so good in the first place with this really being helped by the fact that the script for this episode is just so good that all this episodes actors have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very episode.

Doing the animation for this episode is the legends and the really greats that are currently over at Madhouse. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honest I in all honesty personally thought / felt the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty really good with all of the characters having some really nice fluid movements to them with this episodes animation really helping the action in this episode come alive as that's when this episodes animation really does shine with the episode making some really good use of both 2D hand drawn animation or the characters and some the backgrounds and 3D CGI animation for everything else with both forms of animation blending in really well together and looking really good together as well with both forms of animation looking really good as well and while yes the animation might seem a little bit dated that doesn't really take away from the charm of the animation nor does it take away from the fact that this episodes animation is really good and filled to the brim with some really nice details that would have been alot of work to include in any form of animation as well and yet it's something that's seen all the time in this show and in anime as a whole.

This episode does rightfully go into the backstory of Pip Bernadotte which is something that does make sense. Given that he's kind of the episodes main character but at the same time given that this series is only ten episodes and this is the seventh episode this is something that does come across as being to little to late this is despite the fact that having his backstory in this episode does make alot of sense as it does make his death at the end of this episode seem all the more tragic then what it would have been if we didn't get his backstory and it interesting to see as we find out that he really didn't know that all of the male members of his family were essentially killers just killing people not because of the fact that there bad people but because of the fact that they got paid to do so and that's there job something which happen to the grown up up Pip as well and yet it's not something that feels out of place either as it does add to some dimension to this character as we find out that he was basically this sweet innocent kid who at somepoint in his life joined the family business and never looked back and all of that is due to the chat that we see him have with his grandfather at the start of this episode and while his backstory really doesn't play a part in the actual plot of this episode it at least interesting to see where this character started off knowing that ends in a tragic manor for him in this very episode.

This is also the episode that sees Seras Victoria pretty much complete her series long arc of trying not to loose what's left of humanity and trying to work out of she can keep that humanity whilst also being a newly formed vampire. With her conclusion being done in a way that's very satisfactory as it's something that was well built up not only in this episode but also in the previous episodes as well which means that when she does finally bite the neck of the dead Pip Bernadotte and become a full blown vampire and it does make sense as we've had several episodes at this point to really get to know this character and even in this episode we get some of her backstory where we find out how she became an orphan in the first place with that scene being one of the most disturbing scenes in the show just due to what they show one of the attackers doing to her dead mother with that and the death of Pip Bernadotte being what drives her to become a full blown vampire and become the hero that the rest of the Hellsing Organisation knew that she could be from episode one with her using alot of her vampiric powers in a way that just looks cool and done in a way that proves that this version of the character is more developed then what she once was and is more willing to do whatever it is that she needs to do in order to defeat her foes in any given episode.

As a villain Zorin Blitz really is a solid villain as she uses a combination of psychological and straight up slicing an opponent in half to defeat her foes. Which is a great way to defeat an opponent as pretty much when she gets them mentally then it's all over for them as she can and more then often that not does come out of nowhere to get to het target with her being evil just for the sake of being evil which is something that would usually be a bad thing as it robs the character of any kind of motivation for being who they are but here because of the fact that the character is pretty much mentally insane it does make alot of sense as just like The Joker she's like a dog chasing a car only when she catches the car she makes damn sure that no one in the car makes it out alive with this being helped by the fact that her end goal is directly tied into that of The Major's end goal who just wants the vampire Alucard dead and vampires to rule the world and given that she works for him she really doesn't need an end goal she just needs to go where he sends her and that's really it and while he doesn't send her attack to the Hellsing Manor that does prove that she's a bit of a rebel who will just do whatever she wants to do just because it's fun for her and that is something that does make her an interesting villain for Seras to go up against when she becomes a full blown vampire as while Zorin really isn't a first level boss type of character she's also quite clearly not the final boss level type of character either she's just the right character for Seras t face at this point in time.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty six minuets and thirty three seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstandard running time for how to have but with that being said tho this episode really doesn't have alot there interms of plot to really cover that amount of running time as while the backstories for both Pip Bernadotte and Seras Victoria do add something to there characters they don't add anything to the plot of the episode which means that they feel more like filler scenes in this episode and yet at the sae time if they were cut out of the episode the episode would some how feel incomplete but they really wouldn't effect the characters nor there character arcs either as we the audience would already know what there backstory is and fully understand what it is that they went through and yet even with this running time the episode really doesn't take the time to give any of the characters more character development which is something that really does make sense as there are other episodes with those characters in it it in which they might get there character but at the same time tho given that both Seras and Pip Bernadotte serve as being main characters in this episode it would have made more sense for them to also get a bit more characters development in this episode as well but I will admit that this episode really does have some really good paving to it tho.

So now then as this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty so good. With this episode basically just being one long action scene that gets occasionally broken up here and there with all of the episodes action being really cool with there being alot of really cool moments in all of this films action be it from the various and very gory deaths that all of the Hellsing security team go through it's quite clear that it's during this episodes action is where the animation really does shine as you straight up get to see characters bones at several points in the episode which yes is a disgusting but at the same time it's also a very cool thing to see with the best action scene in this whole entire episode being the final fight scene between Seras Victoria and Zorin Blitz as it;s something that does serve as a conclusion to Seras's character arc and seeing her turn in a full blown vampire because of her love for Pip Bernadotte does prove that she was able to keep her humanity as she did for a selfless reason and because of that is the fact that we get a really great action scene in the episode which also gives Zorin Blitz herself a really cool looking death scene as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this was a really solid episode that really does deserve the high rating that's it gotten on IMDB as this really is a really good episode but at the same time it's also not one for the really weaked stomached as do get to see limbs flying everywhere ever couple of seconds but it's all done in a way that really does make sense interms of the plot of the episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all off the good and as well as all of the bad thing that are in this very episode in this very review and as such that means that this episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all oof the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Hellsing fandom wiki page , Tenor and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this very episode being Google Images really simply because Google Images actually really has images from this very episode really are up and on Google Images and really plus pretty  much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images really were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we really do end this review as we really always do with really our one and really true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.
