The Munsters Revenge Film Review

Ladies and gentlemen recently i've been thinking alot about The Munsters I don't know why i've been thinking about The Munsters but i've been thinking about The Munsters alot over the past few days. Since i've already reviewed the first Munster film and as well as an episode of The Munsters TV series / TV show and so it only makes sense that I now review the second ever The Munsters film and so join me as I review the film that brought The Munsters into the nineteen eighties with the film in question being called simply just "The Munsters Revenge" enjoy.

The plot of this film Is Herman and Grandpa find themselves being framed for a series of crimes that they didn't commit and so they have to clear there names before they got locked up and sent to jail forever. Now then in terms of what I thought about the plot of this film in all honesty the plot of this film isn't that bad the issue is tho the plot of this film isn't that good either since the plot of this film sidelines the vast majority of The Munster family for no reason and the story that's being told is at best an OK story and nothing more then that.

Starring in this film is Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster , Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster and Al Lewis as Grandpa Dracula. Also starring in this film is K.C. Martel as Eddie Munster , Jo McDonnell as Marilyn Munster , Bob Hastings as Phantom Of The Opera , Peter Fox as Glen Boyle , Herb Voland as Police Chief Harry Boyle , Charles Macaulay as Police Commissioner , Colby Chester as Michael , Joseph Ruskin as Paulo , Sid Caesar as Dr. Dustin Diablo , Howard Morris as Igor , Ezra Stone as Dr. Lichtlighter and Michael McManus as Ralph.

Now then in terms of what I personally about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very movie / film in all honesty I honestly thought that the acting that's / that was featured / presented to us in this very movie / film was in all honesty really good. Which shouldn't come as a surprise since three of the original cast members are reprising their roles for this film but even the newer cast members that are introduced in this film do a really good at portraying their respective characters altho the actor playing Eddie Munster does seem to be a little wooded acting / performance wise tho.

Now then as alot of you will know this film is the second live action film adaptation of The Munsters TV show and it was the last Munsters film to star any member of the original series cast. In all honesty only the original series cast can every play these characters since all of the original series cast was so good both in the show and in Munster, Go Home! but at the same time times change and hopefully we'll one day find another group of actors who are just simply perfect as the titular The Munster family but that is something that sadly only time will indeed be able to tell but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways.

As alot of us will know The Munsters also had a terrible sitcom continuation of the The Munsters TV show with the continuation TV show in question being called simply just "The Munsters Today" which for some reason transported the entire Munster family to 1988 America. However what some people might not know is that The Monsters Today could also be seen as a reboot since this very film is set in 1981 America where as The Munsters Today had a now possibly lost pilot episode which had The Munster family falling asleep in 1966 due to one of Grandpa's inventions going horribly awry and which results in the entre family being asleep until they are awoken in 1988 America.

On top of that is the fact that The Munsters Today featured none of the original series cast even tho Fred Gwynne was indeed offered the chance to reprise his role of Herman Munster for this new continuation show but turned it down and Al Lewis who wanted to reprise his role as Grandpa Munster wasn't even offered the chance to reprise his role as Grandpa Munster. As such The Munsters Today could be seen as being set in an entirely  different universe which just going of the opening intro to / for The Munsters Today is indeed a very good thing indeed.

There are two major issues that I personally had with this film the first of which is the fact that there are so few scenes with the entire Munster family together which is a shame because half of the fun of The Munsters s seeing the family interacting with each other and this film denies us that. The second issue that I personally had with the film is the fact that both Eddie Munster and Lily Munster are sidelined for the vast majority of the movie and as such both Eddie Munster and Lily Munster feel more like side characters in their own movie.

Now this film had a grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty six minuets and five seconds which I personally felt was the right amount of running time for this film. Since if i'm being well and truly honest here people this film really doesn't have enough there in terms of either story or plot to cover anything longer then one hour and thirty six minuets and five seconds in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then since this film is a comedy after all and so that means that I have to actually talk about the comedy / jokes that are featured / presented to us in this very film and well if i'm being honest here people the comedy / joes that are featured / presented to us in this film / movie are in all honesty pretty good. Since there are some in all honesty really good jokes in this film and both Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis are really funny together in this film since both of them make alot of the jokes that are in this film really funny but sadly tho there are alot of bad jokes that are in this film as well and even sadder is the fact that there are alot more bad jokes then there are good jokes that are in this very film / movie in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall while I cannot in good faith say that this is a good film because it's all honesty not a good film it's also not a bad film either since everything that's done in this film is very middle of the road with everything just being average and nothing more then that in my opinion anyways / at least. Now i've talked about all of the good things and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review and that means that this film gets a score of a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I used in this very review from Google Images and Wikipedia. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images that are actually from this film and that that I personally / actually used in this very review being Google Images this is simply because Google Images actually has alot of images from this film and plus alot of / nearly all of the images that are from this film and that are currently up on Google Images are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly high definition and as always we end this review as we always do which is with one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams indeed.

Evil Dead 2 Film Review

Horror fans it's been nearly a month since I last wrote a review of a classic horror film and well I thought that it was about time that I ended that rather dry streak. However I will very fully admit that I had a hard time in choosing which horror film to review since there are literally freaking thousands if not millions of horror films to choose film from and well I think I chose one that alot of you will like and so join me as I review the film that made The Evil Dead film franchise a household name with the film in question being called simply just "Evil Dead 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Ash Williams and his girlfriend Linda go away to a cabin in the woods during which Linda becomes possessed and so does Ash all the meanwhile some new visitors come to stay at the exact same cabin as Ash and Linda and it's up to Ash to team up with this new group of people and possibly defeat the evil deadites possibly for once and for all. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the plot of this film in all honesty I honestly thought / felt that the plot of this film was rather simple and was very easy to follow and it really does help that the plot of this film was really well told in my opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams , Sarah Berry as Annie Knowby and Dan Hicks as Jake. Also starring in this film is Kassie Wesley as Bobby Joe , Denise Bixler as Linda , Snowy Winters as Dancing Demon Linda , Richard Domeier as Professor Ed Getley , John Peaks as Professor Knowby , Lou Hancock as Henrietta Knowby , Ted Raimi as Possessed Henrietta and William Preston Robertson as The Voice Of The Evil Dead.

Now then in terms if what I honesty thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very / particular film / movie in all honesty I honestly thought that the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very particular film / movie was really good. This is because the actors that are starring / appearing in this very / particular film / movie have a good director directing them and a good director can get a good performance out of absolutely anybody plus and the actors and actresses that are starring / appearing in this very / particular film / movie are in all honesty genuinely freaking good actors and actresses in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then as alot of you will know this film is basically one huge retcon of the first Evil Dead which was called simply just The Evil Dead since even tho The Evil Dead does infact end with Ash being possessed it's the little things that get retconned. With the perhaps the biggest / major retcon being that instead of it being Ash , Linda and their friends all going up and way to the cabin in the woods for a small holiday it's now just Ask and Linda going to the cabin in the woods for a rather small and very brief holiday.

In all honesty I really don't mind this change to the franchises canon simply because i've in all honesty never even seen the original Evil Dead film and as such to me what I know from the established Evil Dead film and multi media franchise canon comes from this film. However with that being said I would very much understand it if a die hard Evil Dead fan said that they didn't like this film de to the amount of changes that are made to the pre established Evil Dead film and multi media franchise this is because the changes that this film does make to the canon don't really effect the plot of this film and so they are just changes for the sake of making changes and not because it's something that is demanded of the plot of this very / particular film / movie.

Now then with this film effectively making the first film non canon that means that you don't really have to have the first film in order to see any other media that's related to the The Evil Dead film and multi media franchise and heck if you really wanted to you could the The Evil Dead TV series with the TV series in question being called simply just Ash vs Evil Dead and you'd still understand what the plot of the franchise is. However with all of that being said I would very highly recommend that you at the very least check out this film tho simply because this film is more in line with the tone of Ash Vs Evil Dead then the other film in the The Evil Dead film / multi pedia franchise are in my opinion anyways / at least.

This film also saw the franchise go from being a straight up and straight forward horror film to being more of a horror comedy and this however is a bit of a huge issue for me personally. This is simply because I didn't really find the film to be that funny since there were in my opinion anyways / at least very little laugh out loud jokes / moments which is a shame because when there is a genuinely funny moment it really did make me laugh but it's just a shame that there really aren't that many funny moments in this film but that's just what I think tho and that's just in my very humble and ad as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways / at least.

Now then this film has a grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty four minuets and fourteen seconds and well if i'm being a very freaking honest here people this film did feel a tad bit on the long side. Which is a shame because this film has more than / then enough story / plot in order to cover this films running time however due to the fact that this film has some terrible pacing issues very early on in the film it does make the film feel a lot longer than / then what it actually is in my opinion anyways / at least.

Now then since this film is a horror film after all it now only makes sense that I now talk about the scares and the kills that are featured / presented to us in this film and well if i'm being very honest here people the scares and the kills that are featured / presented to us in this film are pretty decant at best. Since there are a few creative and thus very entertaining kills in this film but this film is very sadly lacking in any good scares since the only real scares that we get in this film are freaking jump scares and jump scares to put it bluntly / pure and simply AREN'T very freaking scary at all in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a very entertaining film and I can very easily see why people enjoy this film and as well as why people consider this film to be a horror classic however for me at least this film just couldn't live up to the hype since alot of people have made this film out to be a perfect film and this pure and simply isn't even close to being a perfect film at all in my opinion anyways /at least. Now i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review and as such that means that this film gets a grant total freaking score of an 8 out of 10 from me personally.

Now then as for where I got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Evil Dead fandom wiki page and from Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get the images that are from this very film and that I personally did in fact end up using in this very review being Google Images simply because Google Images actually has a wide varitity of images / alot of images from this very film and plus all of the images that are currently up and on Google Images and that I personally ended up using in this review are all fairly high in quality and as well as being fairly definition and as always we end this review as we always do which is with our ne and true and only horror goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams indeed.

Carry On Screaming! Film Review

Now then film fans and British film fans depending on where your reading this review you'll know that i've been covering some of the Carry On films as of late and well since the makers of the Carry On films made a horror comedy I thought that it was about tine / right that I took a look and review the film in question. As such join me as I review the only horror film entry in the Carry On film franchise with the film in question being called simply just "Carry On Screaming!" enjoy.

The plot of this film is someone is kidnapping young and very attractive women and so it's up to Detective Sergeant Sidney Bung and his inept assistant Detective Constable Slobotham to solve the mystery who is kidnapping these young and very attractive women before it's far to late. The Carry On films aren't really known for having plots and so it's good and oddly refreshing to see a Carry On film that actually has a plot and in terms if what I thought about the plot that's featured / presented to us in this film in all honesty I thought that the plot that's featured / presented to us in this film wasn't that bad but at the same the plot that's featured / presented to us in this film also doesn't allow for a lot of jokes which for a comedy isn't really a good thing in my opinion anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Harry H. Corbett as Detective Sergeant Sidney Bung and Kenneth Williams as Dr Orlando Watt. Also starring in this film is Jim Dale as Albert Potter , Charles Hawtrey as Dan Dann , Fenella Fielding as Valeria Watt , Joan Sims as Emily Bung , Angela Douglas as Doris Mann , Bernard Bresslaw as Sockett , Peter Butterworth as Detective Constable Slobotham , Jon Pertwee as Doctor Fettle , Michael Ward as Mr Vivian , Tom Clegg as Oddbod , Billy Cornelius as Oddbod Junior and Frank Thornton as Mr Jones.

As for what I thought about the acting that's featured / presented to us in this very film well in all honesty the acting that's featured / presented to us in this film is very mixed bag. Since even tho the actors who are starring in this film do indeed turn in some really good performances actors like Harry H. Corbett and Angela Douglas play their respective roles super freaking seriously and that actually hinders there performances since they now can't be as funny as they perhaps could have been if they played there respective characters a little less seriously.

Now then horror fans the Carry On films were known for poking fun at whatever was popular at the time that the then current carry On film was in production / being made. Which in this case one of the most popular things going were the Hammer Horror films and so it only makes sense this film poke fun at not only those films but also poke fun at horror films in general think Scream but decades before Scream was a thing and you'll get a very rough idea of what I mean and as well as you'll also get a very good idea of what type of film that your in for when you see this film.

In all honesty what I wasn't expecting from this film was for there to be a bunch of references to horror characters and to over horror films. Which while those references were indeed nice to see and nice to hear I don't think that those references were really needed since all they did in this case was remind me that I could have been watching something better which for any film is never a good sign since you want people to be reminded about your film and you don't want people to be thinking that they could have been watching a better film when those exact same people are busy watching your film but that's just what I think anyways and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways / at least.

There was one very big mistake with this film which even tho it's something that the makers of this film really couldn't help it's something that really did make me laugh it's something that is still an issue with this film. With that issue being that even tho this film is meant to be set in Edwardian England the houses that you se in the background are vert clearly more modern houses and even tho the makers of this film couldn't go around to home owner where they were filming this film and ask all of those exact same homeowners if the makers of this film could radically change the out of their home you'd have thought that more effort would have gone into hiding the fact that you can quite clearly see that they actually in 1966 England and not Edwardian era England.

Now then since this film is a horror comedy it only makes sense that I now talk about both aspects of this film so let's start of with the horror aspect shall we. This film like I said pokes fun at the Hammer Horror films and the Hammer Horror film craze that was going at the time and so this film has more gothic look which does help sell  you on the scares that this film had but at the same time there really aren't that many if actual scares in this film with the film instead choosing to put alot more focus on the comedy aspect of the this horror comedy film.

Now then this film has a grand total running time of one hour and thirty six minuets and seventeen seconds and well if i'm being really freaking honest here people. This film does indeed feel a bit on the the long side simply because when you get right down to it there really isn't that much there in terms of plot and so you very easily could have shaved six minuets of this film and have this film come in at one hour and thirty minuets and you'd have to loose nothing that's actually important to the plot of this particular / very film.

Now then boys and girls since i've just this second finished talking about the actual horror element of this film it now only makes sense that I now talk about the actual comedy aspect / element of this horror comedy film and well if i'm being really freaking honest here people the comedy in this film wasn't that good either. Don't get me wrong when the film does infact tell a good joke you really do no about it but nine times out of ten all the jokes that are featured / presented to us in this film are just flat out bad and as well as being flat out unfunny jokes which for a comedy and for a Carry On film is a very bad thing indeed in my opinion anyways / at least.

Overall this was a pretty bad film and a pretty bad Carry On film as well which is a shame because I really did like this film when I was growing up as a kid infact this might have been one of if not the earliest horror film that I actually saw. Now then since i've talked about both of the good and as well as being both of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review that means that this film gets a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then I personally got al of the images that I used in this very review from the official House Of Wax film fandom wiki page ,the official Carry On fandom wiki page and Google Images with Google Images being the website that I personally preferred to use to get the images from this film that I personally used in this very review simply because alot of if not all of the images that I personally found that are currently up on Google Images are also fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition. Now then we end this review as we end every single horror review that I personally make / write which is with our one true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams indeed.

Night Of The Animated Dead Film Review

It's not uncommon for a popular horror film or a popular film in general to be remade but what is uncommon is for that film to have more...
