Saw X Film SPOILER FILLED Film Review

It's been so long since we last a Saw movie in the traditional sense and even longer since we last had a good Saw movie in the traditional sense of the word. Well now we've just got a new Saw movie that is not only actually pretty good but is also getting alt of praise from the critics as well and well as i'm huge mega Saw fan you all just knew that I had to check this film out the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my SPOILER FILLED review of the film that is the first Saw film to be a prequel with the film in question being called simply just "Saw X " enjoy.

The plot of this film is a desperate John Kramer goes to Mexico to seek some radical treatment for his cancer only to discover his doctors are scammers and so sets about getting his form of deadly revenge. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured  presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honest personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty with this films plot being really refreshing but for the most part also being pretty predictable as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is franchise star Tobin Bell as John Kramer / Jigsaw and Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young. Also starring in this film is Synnøve Macody Lund as Cecilia Pederson , Steven Brand as Parker Sears , Renata Vaca as Gabriela , Joshua Okamoto as Diego / Dr. Cortez , Octavio Hinojosa as Mateo , Paulette Hernandez as Valentina , Sons Of Anarchy star Michael Beach as Henry Kessler and Jorge Briseño as Carlos.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with Tobin Bell of course killing it as John Kramer / Jigsaw. How this man can still turn in a bone chilling performance in all of these films and not be bored with the character is beyond me with this film perhaps being his personal best performance as the character with the rest of the cast also turning some really solid performances as well.

It's no surprise that Amanda is back in this film as not only the trailers but also the official X account for Saw spoiled her return. Which is weird as the film treats her return as this shocking moment and yet all you have to do is watch any of the films trailers or go to the official Saw X account and you'll find that her return was already spoiled by the films marketing team which is such a shame as this could have been a really cool reveal as it would have been something that we wouldn't have seen coming and yet because of the fact that it was spoiled ahead of time it now just becomes something that we were waiting to see.

SPOILERS START HERE!!!!!!!!!!

There is one return that wasn't spoiled in the films marketing and that's the fact that we get to see Costas Mandylor as Mark Hoffman. With this return taking place during the films post credits scene and that's a return that was genuinely shocking as it's something that we never see coming but given the films timeline this films post credits scene might not necessarily work with the rest of the franchise but it's still cool to see a character from the post John Kramer era make his grand return in this film with the post credits scene possibly setting up future installments.

This films does give us a couple of other firsts for this franchise as this is the first film in the franchise to take place outside of America and it's also the first film to basically be a prequel. Which is something that I hate as it now makes this film feel pointless as we already know that the new characters will all die and we know that John and Amanda will survive thank to them being in the first three movies which means that any and all suspense that this film could have built up is now gone because of the fact that John and Amanda are main characters in the original three films but I will admit that the idea of doing a prequel to Saw 2 is a pretty good idea tho.

We have to talk about the victims in this film as this film did something that while interesting is something that I hated. That being the fact that it made all of the victims really unlikable and it made John and Amanda likable this is something that really should have been the over way around as John and Amanda while they don't for the most part actively kill one are still basically killers with John also being very manipulative where as the victims whilst not always perfect usually have something that makes them likable people and yet flipping that for this film is just something that doesn't work when you take into account all of the other Saw films.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty two minuets and fifty eight seconds. Which was a bit of a long time for this film to last but at the same time you really couldn't cut out anything from this film as alot of the first thirty or so minuets is just spent with John and giving story information that will become important later on in the film but at the same time having a Saw film that's this long makes the film a bit much to sit through and it wouldn't surprise me if people chose not to watch this film because of the fact that it is one off not the longest film in then Saw franchise but I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it.

So now then as this is a Saw film that means that I have to talk about the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film and well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With this film having some pretty inventive looking traps and while the best trap of the film will always be the trap seen in the films poster that doesn't mean that there aren't alot of a really good and really gory traps in this film as alot of this films traps are just really cool to look at in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

SPOILERS END HERE!!!!!!!!!!

Overall this film is a return to form for this franchise altho there are some things in this film that the most die hard of Saw fans like myself just won't like as they don't really add up or make sense for that matter in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boy and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Saw fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Sleepy Hollow fandom wiki page simply because Google Images actually has images from this film up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Sleepy Hollow 1999 Film Review

Director Tim Burton is known for directing weird and strange films but very rarely does he do a full on horror film. Well in 1999 he directed his first straight up horror film and it's that film that I want to talk about today as it's a film that I don't see that many people talking about which is a shame given who is starring in this film and so then join me as I review the film that is bound to make a alot of fandoms very happy with the film in question being called simply just "Sleepy Hollow" enjoy.

The plot of the film is Police Constable Ichabod Crane is sent to the small town of Sleepy Hollow in order to investigate a series of decapitations and must solve this mystery before his own life is taken away from him. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then  in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being really entertaining and at times very engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Johnny Depp as Ichabod Crane , Christina Ricci as Katrina Van Tassel and Miranda Richardson as Lady Mary Van Tassel. Also starring in this film is Sir Michael Gambon as Baltus Van Tassel , Casper Van Dien as Brom Van Brunt , Jeffrey Jones as Reverend Steenwyck , Sir Christopher Lee as The Burgomaster , Richard Griffiths as Magistrate Samuel Philipse , Ian McDiarmid as Dr. Thomas Lancaster , Michael Gough as Notary James Hardenbrook , Marc Pickering as Young Masbath , Steven Waddington as Mr. Killian , Lisa Marie as Lady Crane , Ray Park as The Headless Horseman and Christopher Walken as The Headless Horseman.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Which really isn't all that surprising as Tim Burton really does know how to get a really good performance out of his cast and when you take into account that this films cast members are a bunch of really good actors and actress then it's not really surprising that this film has a bunch of really good acting in it.

This film is of course based of off the short story "The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow" by author Washington Irving. With the short story itself being published in 1820 what I find truly shocking is the the original story and this film are radically different which seems odd as the original short story would be right up Tim Burton's alley as in the original short story Ichabod as an easily frightened school headmaster and yet in this film he's made into a very competent police constable which just doesn't work as the Ichabod in the original story is an underdog that you want to route for where as here he's not the underdog of his film.

The Sleepy Hollow story is also somewhat of a romance story which is also true for this film adapted as well. With this films romance not really being all that well handled as both Johnny Deep and Christina Ricci despite them both being fantastic actors just don;t have any kind of chemistry with each other not really helping the fact is the fact that this films romance really isn't well written as the two barely share any scenes alone with each other and so their relationship can't be fully developed and yet the film quite clearly wants us to want them to get together without really giving us a reason to really care about them as a couple.

At times this film feels alot less like a gothic horror film and alot more like an action film with the film having several action set pieces. Which doesn't really line up with the tone of the film as the tone of the film makes it like it's going to be a straight up horror film and yet there's an action packed third act and music that would be better suited to being in an action movie which makes me wonder if the producers of this film wanted an action film take on the story and yet Tim Burton wanted something that's a little bit more gothic and so what we got was a compromised version of both visions of this truly iconic short story.

As a mystery film this film does fair a little bit as the mystery behind who is doing these killings and why is genuinely quite engaging. However the film offers next to no clues as to who the culprit is an so when it does get revealed and there motive for these killings is explained it really does come out of nowhere as it wasn't something that was built up in the film which is a shame as this is something that could have been fixed just by adding a few scenes with our heroes finding some clues and questioning the people of Sleepy Hollow and yet they barely do either of those two hings which doesn't make sense for Ichabod's character as he works for the police and is presented as someone who is very forward thinking and yet he really doesn't do the most basic of police work in this film in the slightest way possible.

Now the this film has / had an exact grad total running time of exactly one hour and forty five minuets and eighteen seconds. Which is both a bit to short and at the same time a bit to long for this film to last as it has ore then enough plot to cover a larger running time and yet if it was longer it would make all of the issues that I mentioned seem a lot more larger and alot more noticeable then what it already is and while this film can be quite entertaining in places there are times where the film almost drags to a haul and struggles tom pick up steam again not really helping things is the fact that this film has some pretty average pacing to it at best.

So now then as this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I inn all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Altho seeing the same kind of kill happen over and over again did start to get a bit boring which isn't really a fault of the film as that's more a fault of the short story as well but it is something that is really noticeable and it does help the film to feel a bit more boring as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this is a good film in alot of respects and the fact that they somehow managed to get this impressive of a cast is a good thing there are just so many more things wrong with the im then there are right with the film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does infact mean that this very film really does earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Sleepy Hollow fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Craving 2023 Film Review

There are dozens of horror films released every couple of months and so it's is perfectly understandable that one or two will fall under the radar. With the film that i'm about to review for you all today being one such film as this is a film that until just a couple of short days ago I had no idea was even a thing let alone that it had already been released and so then join me as I review the film that has some really bad sound effects with the film in question being called simply just "Craving" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a group of people are held hostage they have to find out which one of them is a killer in order to survive. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very review was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue as this films plot wasn't all that good either with this films plot just not being strong enough to support an entire feature length film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Felissa Rose as Les , Al Gomez as Hunter , Holly Rockwell as Gail and Kevin Caliber as Mac. Also starring in this film is Ashley Undercuffler as Frenzy , Xavier Roe as Will , Likun Jing as Lo , Rachel Amanda Bryant as Shiloh , Toya Morman as CeCe , Gregory Blair as Travis , Frankie Guzman as Rudy , Miranda Bourke as Rylee , Scott Alan Ward as Jared Scott , Greg Tally as Red , Zera Lynd as Lori , Robert C. Pullman as Gerry , Kelsie Mathews as Simone , Michael Turner Tucker as Carl , Matt Weinglass as Kent , Kim Estes as Officer Shaw , Thomas Haley as Officer Washington , the films VFX supervisor Brook Hubbs as Frank , Joseph D. Webb as John and Jake Butcher as Paul.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the film rightfully deserving all of the praise that it's been getting for it's acting as the acting in this film is really alot better then what it had any right to be which considering that this film cost sixty three thousand American dollars to make it truly is shocking that the acting in this film really is as good as it was.

To me this film is basically a less good version of The Hateful Eight only with that film giving us a wide verity of characters that are actually interesting. Which does mean that this films central idea falls flat on it's face as we are now forced to spend time with a bunch of characters basically in one location that just aren't that interesting or even entertaining for that matter while the opposite was true for The Hateful,Eight where the characters were interesting and really entertaining all of which added to the drama of that film where as here as the characters are just so dull and boring it ultimately ends up taking away from the drama instead of adding to it.

One of the things that this film got alot of hate for was the fact that it has far to many characters and yeah I can see why that would be a huge issue. As alot of the films characters just get lost in the shuffle so much so that when they do appear on screen you have to remind yourself that there a character in this movie and what makes things is the fact that the movie really didn't need to have that many characters in it and infact having less characters in the film would have helped save the film some money if this was a longer film however having more characters wouldn't be a good thing but given that this film isn't a long film the amount of characters that this film has in it really should have been cut down quite by alot.

It takes alot to really take me out of a movie but this film did it just by having some really bad sound effects. I'm not kidding when I say that the sound effects in this film are so bad that they make the sound effects in films made for alot less then movie sound good by comparison I get it that this film had a really small budget and so they most likely could afford to go out and record better sounding sounds but they could have at the very least have put in the effort to find sounds that don't make there production look amateurish which might sound a bit harsh but it's true and it's something that really take me out of the movie.

To this films credit it does have a lot of promise to be a really good horror film even with it's unique setting. However the film just can't live up to that promise because of how bad the characters are with the characters just coming across as being rather one dimensional and cardboard cut outs of other and better characters in other and better movies and when a film has just one major setting it's characters need to make it interesting and that's something that this films characters just can't do as there not written all that well with the only character even showing some promise of being a good and interesting characters being the first character that gets killed of in the movie.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty three minuet and twenty seven seconds. Which is such a long time for this film with this film not really needing to be as long as it is as the films story isn't strong enough to support an entire feature length film but is strong enough t support a short film and that's what this film should have been just a short film with a handful of characters an nothing more then that but because this film is a feature length film we also get alot of padding with flashback scenes that go nowhere but I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as there some kills in this film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad for the most part. As due to the films fast editing it was hard to make out what some of the kills were meant to be but the kills that we can actually see look really good with them showing of this films really very impressive practical effects in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this film did have all of the potential to be a really good independent horror film it just doesn't live up to all of that massive potential that it had gong for it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because Google Image actually has images from this film up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all really very fairly high quality and as well as being as really very fairly high definition as well and so then horror fans we end this review as we always do with really our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some really very unpleasant dreams.

Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Film Review

There are so many horror icons out their and out all of them only two have tried to kill people in New York City. Out of those two only one of them has succeed and well I thought that i'd check out the film that failed to take over New York just because not only is this the latest film n the Friday The 13th franchise for me to take to look at anyway but it's also one that is rather infamous and so then join me as I review the film that is the last Friday The 13th film to be produced by Paramount Pictures until the 2009 remake with the film in question being called simply just "Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a cruise ship full of teenagers heads to New York while on board tho Jason Voorhees trys to make sure that they never make it to New York City. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty bad with this films being nothing more then a stock slasher plot and nothing really more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees , Jensen Daggett as Rennie and Scott Reeves as Sean Robertson. Also starring in this film is Barbara Bingham as Colleen Van Deusen , Peter Mark Richman as Charles McCulloch , V. C. Dupree as Julius Gaw , Martin Cummins as Wayne Webber , Gordon Currie as Miles Wolfe , Kelly Hu as Eva Watanabe , Sharlene Martin as Tamara Mason , Dragon Ball Z star Saffron Henderson as J.J. , Alex Diakun as The Deck Hand and Warren Munson as Admiral Robertson.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films acting being alot better then what it really had any right to be. However what lets the acting down is the fact that this films script just isn't that good which means that this films cast just can't turn in that good of a performance as this films script just simply won't allow for it as that's just how ad this films script is.

There were several ideas for this film during it's early days with scripts being written by Lar Park Lincoln and her husband with her script seeing her character Tina helping out in a mental hospital for young girls. The other was by her Friday The 13th Part VIII: The New Blood co-star Kevin Spirtas which would have been a remake of The New Blood except with his character from that film as the killer with the original version being nothing more then a dream there was also a part 8 being developed by The New Blood's director John Carl Buechler which would have seen the character of Tina escape a mental hospital before facing of against Jason Voorhees one last time.

For a film that meant to take place mostly in New York alot of those scenes was filmed in Vancouver as such the title now makes no sense. Granted we d get a few shots of Jason that was actually filmed in New York but alot of the time the only locations that we see are locations that could be anywhere as all they are is a dock yard and an alley way neither of which scream New York city granted Paramount did sign of on the script which makes me wonder why they didn't give the film a big enough budget to actually film in New York as the very idea of having Jason Voorhees stalking teenagers around New York City is a good idea.

If this film feels like two different films stitched together that's because that's exactly what it is as Paramount agreed to two different films scripts one which set upon a cruise ship and the other being set in New York City. With this films writer and director Rob Hedden writing both scripts and so he stuck the cruise ship script to the front of the New York City script and as a result of that this film does feel like it's two different films as the first half of the film feels like a claustrophobic sea movie whereas the second one feels alot more like a more goofier Friday The 13th movie with Jason even making jokes all of which clash with the more serious tone look and feel with the first half of the film which itself contrasts with the really alot more lighthearted and really goofy tone and feel of the second half of this film.

I think that we can all agree that the Charles McCulloch is just a terrible character which is really saying something as alot of this films victims just aren't that interesting. Even our main final girl character just comes across as being bland and annoying with her having nothing that makes her stand out or come across as being likable but what makes Charles McCulloch a terrible character tho is the fact that he pretty much mentally abuses Rennie into getting what he wants and he openly leaves several students and colleague to die and is openly willing to kill an innocent person when he doesn't believe that Jason has comeback to life which is something that also doesn't make a whole lot of sense as these characters are meant to be from Crystal Lake and so they would no that Jason comes back to life quite often.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty minuets and twenty seven seconds. Which is a solid running time for this film to have as it doesn't have that much of a plot to begin with which means that the films plot is already being stretched pretty thin but at the same time tho when this film gets going you really don't notice it especially when the group finally arrive in New York City but the issue there is that the film takes well over an hour to get to New York with the vast majority of the film being spent on this slow moving boat but I will admit that this film does have some really solid pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is a slasher film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were in all honesty not that bad. As this film does have some really solid and pretty enjoyable kills in it the issue is tho is that alot of this films kills happen just off screen and so don't really get to see the kills in this film alot of the time and alot of the ones that we do get to see are pretty lame for the most part in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall I can quite easily see why this film is considered to be one of the worst films in the Friday The 13th franchise as this film is pretty bad and is a sign that this franchise should have ended with this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 4.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards .

See No Evil 2 Film Review

WWE Studios very rarely if ever for that matter turn out a good film and so it was quite shocking that all of their films to get a sequel apart from The Marine movies we would get a sequel to their so far one and only slasher film. I will admit that as someone who was a fan of the first film heck I even went out and brought the first movie on DVD the day of release I was excited to see this film but now on the eve of this films ten year anniversary does the film still hold up well let's find out and so then join me as I review the film is so far the only horror sequel that WWE Studios have ever produced with the film in question being called simply just "See No Evil 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a morgue worker Amy , her friend Seth and their boss Holden along with Amy's friends finds themselves the latest target's of serial killer Jacob Goodnight and have to fight to stay alive from the thought dead killer. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad altho it was just the bogstanderd slasher horror film plot and really nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is wrestling legend Glenn Jacobs AKA Kane as as Jacob Goodnight and horror icon Danielle Harris as Amy. Also starring in this film is horror icon Katharine Isabelle as Tamara , Kaj-Erik Eriksen as Seth , Chelan Simmons as Kayla , Greyston Holt as Will , Lee Majdoub as Carter , Michael Eklund as Holden , this films co-director Sylvia Soska as Corpse and this films co-director Jen Soska as Corpse.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast members doing their best to turn in a good performances with who you think turning in a good performance doing exactly that however what let's this films cast down is the fact that this films script is just that bad with the actors in this film being unable to turn in a great performance as this films script gives the cast nothing to work with interms of what their respective characters personalities eve are or are even meant to be for that matter.

What set the first film apart from all of the other slashers out their is the fact that it made it's main killer more of a sympathetic character. All of that is sadly gone in this film as he's gone from killing people because that's all he knew what to do and truly believing that he was doing the right thing due to his upbringing by his mother to being someone who kills people just for the sake of it and that robs the character of all of the growth that he went through in the first film and made him just another slasher killer only with out the charm and the charisma to make him truly standout and make feel more like a unique character.

Usually in the realm of slasher horror sequels it takes them a while to get around to killing of the killer and bringing him back in the very next film in some stupid way. However this film did it in the first sequel by having Jacob come back without any kind of explanation with the character now being pretty much unable to truly die which wouldn't be a bad thing if they at the very least explained how he survived being killed of at the end of the first film as that is something that even the worse horror sequels tend to do either by explaining it away in dialog or by having a time jump but this film does neither of those two things.

To this films credit it does try to have to make it's main hero characters come across as being likable characters. However as the films characters have no personality traits to speak of they don't come across as being likable they instead come across as being rather one dimensional and boring with all of this films characters being done better in other slasher films which is a shame as this films co-directors The Soska Sisters know how to make likable horror characters heck one of their most famous films has them making the villain extremely likable ad yet due to this films bad script they just can't make this films set of main hero characters even close to being likable.

What I really liked about this film is the fact that none of the main characters make it out of the film alive. Which I believe is something that really isn't done in horror films let alone slasher films and so to see it done here was shocking even more so when you take into account the film spends alot of time setting up Danielle Harris to be this films final girl only to have her be killed of at the start of this films third act leaving only Erik Eriksen's character to take on Jacob alone but then the film goes and kills him off leaving us with no survivors which is something that does oddly work for this film as it sets you up nicely for a sequel should one ever come along and it gives us some truly nice looking kills along the way as well.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty minuets and twelve seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that I was expecting from this film as this film is really light on plot so much so that I was left wondering what the actual plot of this film even was alot of the time but at the same time I wanted this film to be a little bit longer just so the film would then have the chance to fully develop it's characters alot more then what it really does which in turn would make their deaths all the more tragic as we'd have gotten more time to really get to know these characters as actual people and not just cardboard cutouts and I will admit this film does also have some really good pacing as well.

So now then as this is a slasher film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were in all honesty really cool. With this film featuring alot of really good deaths and even tho this film does feature CGI blood with the CGI being provided by COMEN VFX that doesn't take away from the fact that this films kills were really cool and were really creative to look at in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall the first film is still quite easily the better one but at the same time I do like this film for at the very least trying to continue the story of Jacob Goodnight even if the first film firmly ended that story in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review ans as such that means that this very film earns a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Headhunters Horror House fandom wiki page , the official Pro Wrestling fandom wiki page , IMP Awards .

The Last Voyage Of The Demeter Film Review

The Dracula character is a staple of not only horror but of pop culture with the character having appeared in over hundreds of films and TV adaptations over the decades. However there's one story that o me knowledge has never been told and well that all ends with the release of the film that i'm about tor review for all today and so then join me as I review the film that I is the second adaptation of the Dracula character in this year alone with the film in question being called simply just "The Last Voyage Of The Demeter" enjoy.

The plot of this film is the crew of a merchant ship find themselves carrying a monster and must try to kill it before they reach their destination of London. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good and was alot better then what I personally thought that it would be as I was expecting a really un-creepy and unimaginative plot but what I got was almost the complete opposite of that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Corey Hawkins as Clemens and Game Of Thrones star Aisling Franciosi as Anna. Also starring in this film is Game Of Thrones star Liam Cunningham as Captain Elliot , David Dastmalchian as Wojchek , Woody Norman as Toby , Jon Jon Briones as Joseph , Stefan Kapičić as Olgaren , Nikolai Nikolaeff as Petrofsky , Martin Furulund as Larsen , Chris Walley as Abrams , Nicolo Pasetti as Deputy Hirsch and Javier Botet as Dracula.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty alot better then what I thought that it would be. As I really had no idea what to expect from this film in any aspect but at the same time this films acting isn't as good as it perhaps could have been as we know that this films cast can turn in some really good performances and yet because of this films script not giving them anything to work with interms of what their respective characters personalities even are this films cast just can't turn in that good of a performance in this very film as this films script really just won't allow for it.

Doing the CGI for this film is Firebrand VFX , Moving Picture Company and RISE Visual Effects Studios. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films CGI really being alot better then what it had any right to be as nobody was expecting this film to have good or even passable CGI init and so it was really shocking to me to find out that this film actually had some really good CGI in it.

This films co-screen writer Bragi Schut Jr. got the idea for this film after he visited someone who worked on the 1992 Dracula movie. Which was something that I really found interesting as if your going to take inspiration from anything then it might as well be something from the director of The Godfather and it really does help that this is a truly original story as we really haven't seen this part of the Dracula story played out before now which I do kind of understand why that's the case but at the same time given just how many stories have been told about Dracula in the past it was only about time that this one chapter from the original book found it's way on screen.

In what is a shocking move this film is the second Dracula based movie to be released this year after the hugely successful Renfield. With this film sadly being not as fun as that film which is a shame as there is alot of potential for this film to be just as fun and just as crazy and insane as that film was just with this films setting but for some reason the makers of this film chose to make this film a super serious film which isn't a bad idea but the idea behind this film is kind of goofy in the first place and so it would have helped the film out quite alot if they leaned into it's goofiness and just go all out with how insane this film could be and should have been.

As I said this film is based of off the chapter "The Captain's Log" from the 1897 novel by Dracula by Bram Stoker. While i've never and will never read the original novel I have to admit that the idea of turning just one early part of the book into a film to seems like a bad idea as we already know just what happens to these characters given that there not in the rest of the novel and so all tension , shock and surprise is now lost and so all we the audience are now left doing is waiting for the characters that we know or a fact will die eventually meet there fate and while that can be fun in some films in this film it's just not that fun to see play out in this film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty one minuets and forty two seconds. Which is a bit on the long side for this film as this film really doesn't need to be that as long as the film really doesn't have alot their interms of either plot and story to cover that large amount of running time an while we're not left watching the characters just go about their day to day lives what we are left with is a bunch of mostly unlikable characters just talking and there's only so long that you can sit through that before it gets boring which in this film happens very quickly and it happens very often but I will admit that this film does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then since this is a vampire film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were in all honesty not that creative. However what this film lacks in creative it kills it more then makes up for by having alot of genuine creepy scares in this film with one of the most creepiest kills in the whole entire happening to the most innocent person in this film which was just so cool to see in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this film wasn't as fun as Renfield was it was still a really enjoyable film with this film being alot more enjoyable then what I thought that it would be as when it gets going it is a really good and enjoyable film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got ll of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards .
