Infinity Pool Film Review

Horror fans every so often there comes an actress that manages to get the horror fandom so upset when they don;t get nominated for a major award. Well said actress also has a brand new horror film out and just like the film that she should really have been nominated for in the best actress category she nails it in this film as well and so then join me as I review the film that makes the Saw films look really like a Disney film by comparison with the film in question being called simply just "Infinity Pool" enjoy.

The plot of this film is when a struggling writer and his wife get meet a couple on vacation they are drawn into a deadly game for the writers very soul. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us on this very film was in all honesty really good altho the plot does seem like it's treading upon very familiar ground tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is The Northman and Godzilla Vs Kong star Alexander SkarsgĂ„rd as James Foster and X and Pearl star Mia Goth as Gabi Bauer. Also starring in this film is Cleopatra Coleman as Em Foster , Jalil Lespert as Alban Bauer , Captain America: The Winter Soldier star Thomas Kretschmann as Detective Thresh , Amanda Brugel as Jennifer , Caroline Boulton as Bex , John Ralston as Dr. Bob Modan and Jeffrey Ricketts as Charles.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With all of this films cast turning in some really good performances altho I will admit that this film is perhaps Mia Goth's weakest performance just because of the fact that this films script gives not only her but also the rest of the cast nothing to work with interms of what their respective characters personalities is.

This film does a really good job of showing someones decent into madness and showing how it only effects them mentally but also physically as well. Which I thought was very interesting as it made the film feel alot more tense and alot more exciting as it's thing that we really haven't seen before since alot of films that deal with somebody going insane have it happen and we don't see the toll that it takes on them but here not only do we see the toll that it takes on people but it's also a key plot point in the film as well.

To me this film gave of very strong Midsommar since not only is it a very slow burn like Midsommar it's plot is also very eerily similar to that of Midsommar as well. Which is a shame because this films whole setup is very original but when you get right down to it this film comes across as a rip off of off Midsommar even down to showing a character going very slowly insane which is a shame because films are truly great films and the only thing that really sets the two films apart is the setting of both films since at their core both films are exactly the same film.

Like I just said this film is a very slow burn with this film taking it's time in telling it's story which is something that works both for and against this film. It works for this film because it allows the film to create tension and to fully develop it's characters however it works against the film because it means that for large portions of the films running time there's nothing actually happening and that does make the film boring which is a shame because when this films plot really does start to get going it is a very entertaining film but this film seems to think that you have to pick one over the other where as that simply isn't true since films like Scream 1996 and X for example both proved that you can create alot of tension and have great characters but still be a really entertaining film.

I said at the start of this review that this film makes the Saw films look like a Disney film and that's not only because of the amount of gore on display but also because of the character of Gabi Bauer. With that character being very insane so much so that she could in all honesty put John Kramer to shame since while he is indeed evil you can at least understand why he's doing what he's doing where as Gabi is just insane for the sake of being insane and is doing these evil things not to right some wrong but just because she can and that's it.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and forty nine minuets and seven seconds. With this films running time not really helping this film out since it is a really slow burn of a film and it doesn't have not only the story but also the amount of time needed to do that justice and as such when the films plot does indeed get going it feels like it's just rushing plot points instead of reaching them at a more natural pace which would have been helped if the story was expanded upon in the script and if the film had a slightly longer running time.

So now then since this is a horror film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / resented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film are in all honesty not that bad. Since this film really doesn't have that many kills but when it does have a kill not only is very brutal and hard hitting but it also means something for the main character as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while this is a very good film its also a film that is very boring and to be honest feels like that it's trying to hard to be scary which is a shame because when it;s not trying to hard to be scary it is genuinely scary in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being Google Images simply because of the fact Google Images actually has alot of images from this film up on Google Images and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on Google Images were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always freaking do with our one and true freaking goddess Elvira wishing us all some very freaking unpleasant dreams indeed.

Scream 2022 Film Review

Scream fans last year the Scream franchise made a big comeback with a film that nobody knew that they both wanted or needed. While it would have been super easy for me to make this film review a tie in review for the upcoming Scream 6 I thought that since it's been well over a year since the release of Scream 5 that now would be the right time to give it a proper review now that we've all had alot of time to let the film sit with us for awhile and so then join me as I review the film that really did very successfully resurrect a dead franchise with the film in question being called simply just "Scream" enjoy.

The plot of this film is twenty five years after the first Scream movie a new set of killings start happening in the town of Woodsboro and it's up to a new group of friends to find out who this killer is before it's far to late. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being refreshingly good and being a breath of fresh air for this franchise in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott , David Arquette as Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Also starring in this film is Melissa Barrera as Samantha Carpenter , Wednesday star Jenna Ortega as Tara Carpenter , Jack Quaid as Richie Kirsch , Dylan Minnette as Wes Hicks , Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks-Martin , Kyle Gallner as Vince Schneider , Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks-Martin , Sonia Ben Ammar as Liv McKenzie , Mikey Madison as Amber Freeman , Heather Matarazzo as Martha Meeks , Skeet Ulrich as Billy Loomis and Roger L. Jackson as The Voice Of Ghostface.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films acting rather rightfully getting alot of praise from both critics and fans alike and it;s really earned since all of this films cast members turn in some really good performances in this very film.

This film is all about subverting expectations since from the opening scene we see scenes and tropes that have been in the previous Scream movies and here they play out differently. Heck even the fact that this film kills of one of the main legacy characters is subverting peoples expectations since we always go into one of these Scream films knowing that Sidney , Gale and Dewey are going to make it out of the film alive and OK and so when Dewey gets killed of in this film it not only subverts your expectations because now it makes you think that if Dewey could die the maybe the other legacy characters can now die as well.

How this film handles it's legacy characters to me proves that this film was made by fans of the Scream franchise. Since all of the legacy characters in this film act like you'd expect there character to act and the same thing even goes for Billy who despite being killed of in the first movie is still just as bone chilling as ever and even tho I don;t really like that in this film he's kind of portrayed as being an anti hero it is still great to see this character back and the CGI on the character does look rather really good as well.

Speaking of Billy Loomis I really don't like that they brought this character back since to me this franchise has been very realistic. As such having Billy Loomis appear in a very supernatural kind of way takes away from that realism which is a shame because he really does get some good scenes but I feel that the film would have been overall better of if that character wasn't included in the finished film just so that little bit of realism could still be maintained and plus you'd then get the mystery of who Sam's real father even was in the first place so it would have been a win win situation.

To me this film relies a little bit two much on nostalgia for the first film which does work both for and against the film. Since it means that we get alot of great scenes between the characters but it also works against in that it means that you have to have to watched the first film in order to order to understand what;s gong on in this film and as such that means that alot of this films feels alot more like homework which is a shame because when thew film does make a reference or a joke about the previous films it usually adds something to the plot of this film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty four minuets and eighteen seconds. Which I will admit is a tad bit on the long side for this film to last even more when you take into account that this film doesn't put that much focus on the actual mystery aspect of the film which is weird because with this added time that is something that the film could have done and still have told a really well done and a really well thought story but for some reason they just don't and as such the film oddly feels a little bit longer then what it actually is.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With this films kills not only being rather intense and actually scary but this films films are also really cool and are really very gory to look at as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of all of the Scream sequels this one is quite easily better then Scream 3 and is one par with Scream 2 for me that's not a knock against this film it;s just that I love that film so much and so being on par with Scream 2 is for me a good thing in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as sch that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official Scream fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Scream fandom wiki page simply because the official Scream fandom wiki page  actually has images from this film up on the official Scream fandom wiki page and pus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Scream fandom wiki page were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always do with our one and true goddess Elvira wishing us all some very unpleasant dreams.

Sick 2022 Film Review

For some strange reason Peacock is becoming the home of bad horror movies with They / Them and now the film that i'm about to review for you all today. I have to admit that when I first saw the trailer for this film about a week or so ago I was excited to see this movie because it looked fresh different and funny but now that i've seen the movie I have to say that the opposite is true and so then join me as I review the film that is basically a rip off of the first two Scream movies with the film in question being called simply just "Sick" enjoy.

The plot of this film is during the early stages of quarantine two best friends go to a lake house so that they can quarantine together only to get caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty weak at best with this films plot being so thinly drawn out that at times it's hard to tell what the actual plot of this film actually is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is The Craft: Legacy star and Pacific Rim: The Black star Gideon Adlon as Parker Mason and Bethlehem Million as Miri Woodlow. Also starring in this film is Teen Wolf star and Man Of Steel star Dylan Sprayberry as DJ Cole , Super 8 star and The Kissing Booth franchise star Joel Courtney as Tyler Murphy , Alone star Marc Menchaca as Jason and Twin Peaks star Jane Adams as Pamela.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast doing their absolutely best to make this films script work well enough for them but the issue is that this films script gives them nothing to work with interms of what their characters personalities are and so the performances can only be OK and nothing more then that since the script won't allow for that.

There are alot of shots in this film in this film especially early on in this film that would have been scarier if they went with a different angle when filming. However with the shots that they chose to go with it makes the film less scary because you can see the killer coming and so there's no impact on the actual scare now because you know that it's coming and when you know that a scare is coming that makes it far less scary and far less effective of a scare and this is something that could have been fixed if you just didn't show us that the killer was present in the scene with us.

To me this film is trying so hard to be like Scream since there are alot of scenes and ideas in this film that were done so much better in that first Scream movie. This really shouldn't come to that much of a surprise since the co-writer and producer of this film is Kevin Williamson who of course created the Scream franchise but even so when your doing something that was done so much better in your most well known horror film then maybe you shouldn't do it in a lesser film like this one because all it does is remind people that they could be watching a much better film.

I will give this film this it is better then They/Them in the fact that this film is at least trying to be good where as that film was just flat out bad. Plus this films satire can be pretty funny at times but at the same time when the satire is only funny half of the time and the other half of the time is filled to the brim with cringe worthy jokes then there's something wrong with your film which is a shame because when this films satire is funny that is more often then not when the film is at it's most entertaining and when it's at it's most enjoyable.

To this films credit it does have some rather likable characters but at the same time it's characters are also very forgettable. This is really doesn't help the film out at all since even tho the whole point might be to make them likable and more like real people you also need to make them memorable for better or for worse i'm always going to remember of They/Them because they were memorable but for all the wrong reasons where as the characters in this film are just straight up forgettable and will be forgotten about by alot of the horror fandom five minuets after they've seen this film.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty three minuets and six seconds. Which is both a plus and a negative for this film since it means that we don't have to spend alot of time watching this pretty bad horror film but at the same time it works against the film because it now means that none of this films characters can be fully fleshed out since the film now has to rush to the next plot point which is a shame because this films characters were fully fleshed out it could have gone a long way in helping this film out in the longer run.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty tame. Even when compared to the kills in other slasher films the kills in this film while they are cool to look at just come across as being lame and kind of tame to look in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film had all of the potential and all of the pedigree that it needed to be a good solid horror film and yet it just doesn't live up to all of that potential and so all we are left with is a mediocre horror film and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns really does itself a grand old score of exactly a 5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official Scream fandom wiki page and Google Images.

The Mean One Film Review

It's been a good few months since I last reviewed anything that's a straight up horror film and well then horror fans as luck would have it we have yet another new horror fil out there. This film like with next years Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey takes a beloved children's character and puts a horror spin on them and so then join me as I review the film nobody asked for but we're getting it anyways with the film in question being called simply just "The Mean One" enjoy.

The plot of this film is twenty years after her mother was killed by a creature that calls itself The Mean One Cindy has to hunt down the monster before it's far to late. Now then interms if what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was wonderfully inventive but at the same time it was also a pretty bad plot as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is David Howard Thornton as The Mean One and Krystle Martin as Cindy You-Know-Who. Also starring in this film is Saphina Chanadet as Young Cindy You-Know-Who , Chase Mullins as Officer Burke , John Bigham as Doc , Erik Baker as Sheriff Hooper , this film co-writer Flip Kobler as Lou , one of this films producers Amy Schumacher as Mayor McBean and Christopher Sanders as This Films Narrator.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's  actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the kind of acting that you'd expect from a film like this one. In that this films acting is pretty bad but at same time it's that kind of bad acting that enhances the overall enjoyment of the film.

What really bugged me about this film is the fact that it doesn't go all the way with the fact that's parody. Which is a shame because when this film makes fun of the fact that it's based of off a children's book that's when the film is the most enjoyable and if the film leaned more into that and went all the way with the fact that it's a parody then it would have been a far more enjoyable film and a much more better film.

This film is of course based of off the 1957 children's book How The Grinch Stole Christmas! by author Dr. Seuss. In fact this film is the third film to based of off the book but it's the first adaptation to be a horror film and I can't see why since it would be very easy to turn this book into a horror and the fact that this film did it is a really creative idea but at the same time I think that all of us would be sick and tired if every single adaptation of this book was a horror film.

What I really hared about this film is the fact that this film has s much lens flair all of which is really unneeded. I don't know why the makers of this film chose to give every single object lens fair since all it does blind you to what's actually going on on screen and it really does make the film look cheap since it says that the makers of the film just didn't have the skill to make the a film that's actually entertaining since it's blinding you with all of it's lens flair.

Like alot of really bad horror movies this one has alot of CGI bloody but here I think that it kind of adds to the charm of the film. Since the blood is obviously fake that you can't help but laugh at it which since this is a comedy that's a good thing but also a bad thing since your still laughing at the film and not with the film and so it only makes me winder the makers of this film chose to go with the far expensive option of creating fully CGI blood for all of the death scenes when it would have been far more cheaper to use practical blood instead.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and twenty seven minuets and ten seconds. Which is pretty much the exact running time that you'd expect this film to last and to this films credit it really does take full advantage of this running time and I can't really picture his film being any longer then what it is since if it was longer even by ten minuets it would be stretching an already pretty thinly drawn out story even thinner.

So now then since this is a slasher that means that I have to actually talk about the actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that he actual kills that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film were in all honesty really creative. Really helping things is the fact that when this film does indeed kill of a character is when this film gets to be pretty entertaining since it's when we get to see The Grinch acting over the top and crazy which is always a really fun thing to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall I find it very hard to believe that this film got a theatrical release since every thing about this film just screams direct to DVD or perhaps even just direct to streaming in my freaking opinions anyways / at least, Now then i've talked abut all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and and as such that means that this film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 2.5 our of 10 from me.

My First Impressions Of The Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet Of Curiosities TV Series

Horror fans it's a slightly rare thing that we get a brand new horror themed TV show let alone one that's made and hosted by one of the most renowned directors out there in Guillermo Del Toro. Well now the man behind the best Blade sequel ever made has made a TV show and well then I just had to check this show out and so then join me as I give you my first impressions of the show that has been getting rave reviews online with the show in question being called simply just "Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet Of Curiosities" enjoy.

The plot of these first two episodes is a man who is down on his luck comes across something demonic in a storage unit that he just bought and a graveyard caretaker tries to stave of giant rats while he digs a grave. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really good with the first episode having the better plot of the two episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in these first two episodes are Tim Blake Nelson as Nick Appleton and Sebastian RochĂ© as Roland. Also starring in these first two episodes are Elpidia Carrillo as Emilia , Demetrius Grosse as Eddie , David Hewlett as Masson and Nabeel El Khafif as Hans Overfist and finally we have the shows creator and executive producer amongst many other roles that fills in this show Guillermo Del Toro as Himself.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes was in all honesty really good. With the acting being alot better then it really had any right to be and really alot better then what I really thought that it would be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show is based upon the 2013 book of the exact same name with both the book and the show having involvement from Guillermo Del Toro. I really have no idea if this show adapts any stories from the book since i've not read nor even heard of the book but since the first episode of this show "Lot 36" is based upon a short story by Guillermo Del Toro himself I have to imagine that this show got that story from the book but I could be wrong tho but I will admit that it'd be great if this show did adapt stories from the book in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The closest show that I can compare this show is the original The Twilight Zone since both shows have a host and both shows have stories that are adapted from short stories. Heck even Guillermo Del Toro himself acts and talks a little bit the The Twilight Zone host , writer and creator Rod Sterling so for me this show is a modern day take on what they did on the original The Twilight Zone in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This show is described as being both equally sophisticated and horrific and that's the best way to describe this show. Since it has both equally sophisticated storytelling that's almost worthy of being in a feature length film and yet since it's a horror show it's also not afraid to scare you not only with the monsters that we get in these first two episodes but also in it's ideas and how certain people are being presented in these first two episodes in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have to admit that i'm in two minds about how Netflix is releasing this show since they are releasing two episodes per-day all the way until this Friday. Since this hasn't been the Netflix way of releasing things and so it really doesn't make sense for them to change it up now since to me this show is made to be watched in one sitting just because of the fact that it's an anthology show and so then releasing this show they way that they are doing just doesn't make any kind of sense whatsoever in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then episode one of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty six minuets and eighteen seconds and episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly thirty eight minuets and twenty two seconds. With episode one having the better running time just because of the fact that it makes the best use of it's running time whereas episode two just felt like it was twenty minuets to long since it didn't need to be as long as it was which just wasn't the case with episode one of this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since is a horror show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual scares that are actually featured / presented to us in these first two episodes were in all honesty really good. With both of these first two episodes being genuinely quite scary and really creepy which for a horror show is always going to be a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall so far this show does seem to be like a really creepy that might be worth watching altho if truth be told i'd wait until the end of the week and ten just binge the whole series in one sitting if I were you all since that might be the best way to watch this show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then  i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very show in this very post and while i'm not going to give this show a rating I MIGHT review some more of the episodes on Friday but only time will indeed tell.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this post from IMP Awards . Com , the official The Twilight Zone fandom wiki page ,the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page With my personally preferred website to use to get images from this film being the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page simply because of the fact Google Images actually has alot of images from this film up on the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page and plus pretty much much all of the images that I personally found on the official Cabinet Of Curiosities fandom wiki page were all fairly high quality and as well as being as fairly high definition and so then horror fans we ends this review as we always freaking do with our one and true freaking goddess Elvira wishing us all some very freaking unpleasant dreams indeed.

Saw IV AKA Saw 4 Film Review

The Saw franchise is perhaps one of the longest horror franchises apart from the Chucky franchise that is. With each three Saw films telling one story and the overall Saw films telling one complete story and as such I thought that it was about right to take a look at the first film in a new Saw trilogy and so then join me as I review the film that introduces us to a new Jigsaw killer with the film in question being called simply just "Saw IV" enjoy.

The plot of this film is a Police officer who is obsessed with stopping the Jigsaw killer for good suddenly finds himself in a Jigsaw game. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot just being the stereotypical Saw film plot and nothing more then that in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Tobin Bell as John Kramer / Jigsaw and Costas Mandylor as Detective Mark Hoffman. Also starring in this film is Scott Patterson as Agent Peter Strahm , Betsy Russell as Jill Tuck , Lyriq Bent as Officer Daniel Rigg , Athena Karkanis as Agent Lindsey Perez , Justin Louis as Art Blank , Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Eric Matthews , Angus Macfadyen as Jeff Denlon , Shawnee Smith as Amanda Young , Bahar Soomekh as Lynn Denlon , Mike Realba as Detective Fisk and Dina Meyer as Detective Allison Kerry.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad. With all of this films cast doing their best to make what little this films script gives them to work with work well enough for them in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

The saw franchise is perhaps the best horror franchise when it comes to setting things up and paying things off. Since this film pays off things that were set up in both Saw 2 and Saw 3 respectively with the character of Eric Matthews who of course made his debut appearance in Saw 2 and appeared again in Saw 3 where something happens to him off screen well here we find out that he's been missing for six months while this new game was being set up and of course there's the character of Detective Mark Hoffman somebody who was only a background character in Saw 3 but here it's revelled that he has a much bigger role in the franchise moving forward that's just how good this film is at setting things up and paying them off in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course this film takes place at the exact same time as the events of Saw 3 which while that is a pretty cool idea on paper. It's not something that's worked all that well into the final film since we only get one scene with the character from Saw 3 and that's it and as such I would have liked it if we got to see more events from Saw 3 seen through the eyes of the characters from Saw 4 just to show a new prospective on things since that would have been pretty cool to see in this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I'm not really a big fan of this film showing certain events out of chronological order since in this case it doesn't really serve the story all that well. All it does is serve the big reveal at the end which is fine but the main focus of the film should always be the story and not the ending twist of the film but at the same time that autopsy scene is a pretty creepy and a very gory scene to see play out in this movie in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Another thing that I take issue with in this film is the fact that the death of Eric Matthews a character that we've known since Saw 2 just isn't that satisfying. I will admit that his death is kind of cool but at the same time tho the character has no impact on this films plot and the character has been presented as a character who had anger issues in Saw 2 but who was learning from that experience and becoming a better person and as such he didn't really need to die in this film at all at least not in this way in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely live of me remember what ever this films running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact running time of roughly one hour an thirty minuets. Which is kind of the bog-standard running time for these Saw sequels but this film really could have been alot longer since there's quite alot of story there to easily get this film up to at the very least one hour and forty minuets and yet for some reason the makers of this film chose to make this film around one hour and thirty minuets which really does hurt this film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is a Saw film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual traps that are actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty pretty good. With alot of this films traps being pretty creepy and having some very gory and scary outcomes which for a Saw film is always want your traps to be like in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is good start to this new trilogy of Saw films but at the same time it's film that could have been quite alot better since it does have alot of promise to it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official Saw fandom wiki page and Google Images.
